A Trend of Web 2.0 and its Effect on the Field of Geography (웹2.0 환경변화가 지리학 연구에 미치는 영향 고찰)

  • In this paper I try to analyze the trends of f environments, which changes dramatically, on the center of Web2.0 and Geospatial web, and then investigate how these new technologies can be applied in the field of geography. Nowadays international IT companies have provided the internee map which includes whole world. Also, mashup technology based on internet map has also been applied in the various areas. In the study of geography one can utilize the internet map as a basic data for regional study. In addition, I recognize that the collaborative intellectual of the ordinary people as well as expert can be utilized actively in the regional study. But in Korea, the mashup technology based on the internet map is not fully utilized. It is necessary to study the technologies related to the Geospatial web. For example, the study of the Geocoding technology which can locate the user information on the internet map, the technology that can combine the information of Geospatial attributes among the various information widely dispersed over the internet with the internet map, and the technology that can efficiently visualizing data by using wet-based vector graphic etc, is needed.

  • This study proposes University 2.0 as a model case of open, flexible, and distributed learning environment for higher education based on theoretical foundations and perspectives. As web 2.0 technologies emerge into the field of education, ways of generating and disseminating information and knowledge have been drastically changed. Professors are no longer the only source of knowledge. Students using internet often become prosumers of knowledge who search and access information through the web as well as publish their own knowledge using the web. A concept and framework of University 2.0 is introduced for implementing the new interactive learning paradigm with an open, flexible and distributed learning environment for higher education. University 2.0 incorporates online and offline learning environments with various educational media. Furthermore, it employs various learning strategies and integrates formal and informal learning through learning communities. Both instructors and students in University 2.0 environment are expected to be active knowledge generators as well as creative designers of their own learning and teaching.

  • Duaring IT industrial trend time, there are many important concept. Cloud computing, Bigdata issue, etc. One of the most important concept is 'Web 2.0' On educational industry, there is not enough up-dated at Web 2.0 concept. It has still One way study model. So apply 'web 2.0' concept on educational platform, and especially e-learning class, we can apply 'collective intelligence' concept.

  • 웹이 대중화되면서, 사용자 계층도 어린이, 노인, 장애인 등으로 다양해졌다. 인지적, 신체적 특징에 상관없이 모든 사람에게 동등한 웹 기회를 제공하고 있는가를 나타내는 지표가 웹 접근성이다. 웹 사이트들이 특정 수준의 웹 접근성을 준수하도록 유도하기 위해 W3C(World Wide Web Consourtium)의 WAI(Web Accessiability Initiative)는 웹 콘텐츠 접근성 가이드라인 WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guideliens)를 개발하였다. 현재, WCAG2.0까지 발표된 가이드라인은, 4개의 원칙(Principle), 12개의 지침(Guideline), 그리고 61개의 성공기준(Success Criteria)으로 구성 되어 있다. 평가자들은 WCAG2.0에서 제시하는 성공 기준에 맞춰, 웹 사이트가 웹 접근성을 어느 수준으로 준수하고 있는지 평가한다. 하지만, WCAG2.0을 기준으로 웹 사이트를 평가할 경우, 성공기준의 준수여부는 평가가 가능하지만, 특정 사용자 집단의 특성을 반영한, 우선순위가 포함되지 않아, 특정 사용자 집단을 위한 개선 사항을 도출하는데 어려움이 있다. 이에, 본 논문에서는 이러한 점을 고려하여 WCAG2.0 기반의, 특정 사용 집단을 위한 웹 접근성 평가 모델을 제안한다. 사용자 특성에 따라 성공지침들의 중요도가 달라 질 수 있으므로, AHP 기법을 활용하여 성공지침들의 상대적 중요도를 평가하고, 우선순위화 하였다. 평가 모델의 효용성을 입증하기 위해, 특정 사용집단으로 노인 집단을 선정하여, 웹 접근성 평가 모델을 개발하였다.

A Novel on a Crops Management Growth System using Web and Design Development Method

  • A new cultivation diary system based on environment sensor data and Web 2.0 with Flex is suggested, to improve the previous system using the subjective data of cultivators. The proposed system is designed by applying an object-oriented model called mini-architecture, in order to enhance the reliability of software as well as promote stability to overall system design. The environment sensor data such as temperature and humidity are used to develop the new reliable diary. Also, an active interface based on Web 2.0 and Android as the user GUI are implemented to maximize the convenience while recording the cultivation diary. The result of the performance evaluation shows that the data from sensors has 99.1% of correlation with that of analogue.

  • The web is shifting from being a medium in which information is transmitted and consumed, into being a platform in which contents are created, shared, repurposed. Web 2.0 applications are those that make the most of the intrinsic advantages of that platform. This thesis proposed a learning system based on web 2.0 for promoting statistics literacy. For this, I proposed students to create UCC(User Created Contents) data to learn principle of statistics and practical use of statistical data. To examine educational effectiveness of this study, an experimental study was conducted through the education content and method to the subject of one class in the first-grade of university located in OO city. As a result, the student understanded basic principle on statistics and perceived importance of statistics literacy and presented positive responses to statistics. In conclusion, it is confirmed that it is possible to provide effective education for students if the statistics literacy is proposed to proper education method.

  • The Learning Models including the design principle about web 2.0 use in education has been recently presented. In types of web 2.0 tools, blogs are the best tool that reflected the trends of web 2.0 and these are able to share a lot of information and contents. To invent new learning methods involving web 2.0, this study aims to get the results about effectiveness of learning performance on a supplementary learning tool based on blog using learner-centric UI/UX design in higher education. As a study tool, installation-type blog that can be designed as user-centric system is applied to experimental environment. This study presents the conclusion that supplementary learning tool based on blog using learner-centric UI/UX design influences on learning achievement and learning flow through the analysis of questionnaire results of learners, learning evaluation score of learners and assignments evaluation score of learners.

  • Enterprises as well as central and local governments have tried to apply ubiquitous technology to the actual life on the various types of business and projects. In this paper we develop strategic plan to provide public service on public areas based on needs analysis of public services as well as trend analysis of ubiquitous and web technology. Ubiquitous service model should be based on geospatial web which can incorporate participation and collaboration concepts, as the wire/wireless network system develop rapidly. To achieve this purpose, we suggest the following projects; 1), construction of internet map based on geospatial web technology, 2), development of web contents based on geospatial web, 3), installing ubiquitous equipment, and 4), upgrade Seoul Metropolitan Government's homepage and internet system which can incorporate web 2.0 concepts. Ubiquitous service model should be based on not only development of ubiquitous technology but also needs of consumer such as citizen, enterprises, and public sectors which have an interest in that place. Geospatial web will be the core of development of ubiquitous service models.

  • WebGL is a cross-platform web standard for a low-level 3D graphics API based on OpenGL ES 2.0 and presents 3D graphics in web browsers without installing extra plug-ins. The reason that WebGL is notable is because it is included in the HTML5 standard which is getting the spotlight as a next-generation RIA(Rich Internet Application) platform for variable devices such as PCs, smart phones, table PCs, and smart TVs. In this research, we would like to introduce and develop a behavior engine for easy and rapid authoring of complicated interactions and 3D object's behavior models in WebGL-based contents.

  • Due to the progress of Bioinformatics field, We are making use of analyzing tools for effective analyzing enormous data of DNA sequence. But there was inconvenience in existing tools when searching and applying data for analyzing. Our treatise proposes a tool developed by a form based on RIA(Rich Internet Application) that you can solve the problems came from weak points. The analyzing tool for RIA indexing data of DNA sequence shows the results by real time in basis of Web 2.0 which supplemented basis on a form of Web. The web application was developed in Flex2 on Windows workstation.
