To this end, we have embarked on a regional and industry based vocational training program by predicting the political and social situation of North Korea and staging three scenarios systematically. These scenarios were designed originally based on the Futures Group methodology. The first scenario is to establish a technical training center in one area, focusing on the electrical, electronics, and clothing sectors. The second scenario is to set up a pilot campus of vocational training college in one region by selecting the electric, electronic, and automobile industries as its main industries. The third scenario is to establish five vocational training college campuses in North Korea, focusing on electricity and electronics, IT manufacturing, telecommunications, heavy industry, and women-specialized industries. We suggested the followings: First, establishing goals and strategies for North Korean vocational training and establishing road maps. Second, the North Korean vocational training governance system needs to be established. Third, R & D infrastructure for vocational training needs to be established. Fourth, HRD and HRM system in North Korea vocational training field needs to be established. In addition, the role of public and private employment services centers to provide them should be strengthening.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the present operation process and to suggest the points of improvement so that vocational education and training institutions can be activated more effectively. The subjects of this study were 250 college students who completed or attended the vocational education and training course in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, and collected 230 data, excluding inappropriate responses. Data analysis was performed by using the statistical package program SPSS Statistics (Ver. 24: IBM, USA). In this study, frequency analysis was conducted to examine the characteristics of data, and crossover analysis was conducted mainly to investigate the correlation between categorical data. The results of this study are as follows: First, it provides information about vocational education and training course to all general high school students at the beginning of the first year of high school, and then, from the first semester of the second grade, do. Second, it is to open four major courses in beauty education at the same time. This makes it possible to acquire qualifications according to four beauty courses during the training period at the training institute rather than the private education institute where private education expenses are incurred. By training all major courses in skin, hair, make-up, and nail art, you will be given the opportunity to carefully determine the major course that fits your aptitude. Based on the results of this research, we propose a plan to improve the vocational education system for vocational high school students who are majoring in cosmetology.

  • This study aims to identify the cooperative relations among researchers and their network structures based on the academic papers published in the field of lifelong vocational education and training from 2000 to 2015. Authors in three representative journals, 'Journal of Lifelong Education', 'Journal of Vocational Education Research', and 'Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education & Training,' during the periods, were selected and co-authorship network analysis was applied using NetMiner 4.0 in order to find the social relation among researchers and their academic influences. The results showed that the research productivity in the field of lifelong vocational education and training forms a shape of the power function where there exist components called, 'detailed research groups.' This network structure represents characteristics of a small world. In addition, the centrality analysis suggest authors with high centrality serve as co-authors who play as a central role on the network and exchange information with other researchers, while those with high betweenness centrality serve as a channel where they transfer knowledge and information among research groups. Increasing member of co-authorship has positively contributed to the opportunity and development of cooperative research among researchers in the field of lifelong vocational education and training. However it is recommended co-authorship be formed more heterogeneously instead of a few researches centrally dominate co-authorship. Various researchers should continually conduct research for good research performances.
