Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the relationship between professional vocation and ethical inclination in clinical dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 221 clinical dental hygienist in Busan and Kyeongnam from April 1 to 30, 2014. The questionnaire consisted of structured questions including demographic characteristics(9 questions), vocational calling(9 questions), deontology(12 questions), asceticism(13 questions), and utilitarianism(8 questions). Questionnaire was carried out by Likert scale. Data were analyzed using the statistical package SPSS Window 19.0 for frequency, mean and standard deviation analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA and linear regression. Results: There was a significantly positive correlation between professional vocation and ethical inclination. The deontology was associated with education, dental service career, duty hours, and number of clients in multivariate analysis after adjusting for socio-demographic characteristics and professional vocation. Asceticism was also correlated with education, and utilitarianism was closely associated with vocational calling, work place, number of clients, and monthly income. Conclusions: It is necessary to develop the curricula including vocational calling and ethical inclination in the dental hygiene education. The dental hygienists should learn the ethical and vocational calling as a professional career.
This paper is to make a comparative study between George Sand and Na Hye-sok through their lives and works. The research found that George Sand and Na Hye-sok had similar views about the institution and social system of their age. Both women were aware of importance and necessity of education and the arts but showed a clear distinction between their beliefs in education and the arts. George Sand found that education was an indispensable part of women's lives but found that educationforwomentotheageofSandwasuseless. For this reason she continued to assert a substantial reform concerning women's education. In addition, she argued that everyone should have been given the same opportunities regardless of gender or class. Na Hye-sok, meanwhile, looked at women's education in a more realistic perspective, that is to say to make money. The two women showed remarkable differences in the view of art. This is evident from the presence of a responsibility and a sense of purpose as an artist. George Sand was imbued with a sense of purpose and clarified her own belief at the beginning of her activities as a writer. She wanted to inform the suffering of the weak through her writing and to contribute to build a Utopia where everyone could be happy to live beyond the boundaries of gender. However, Na Hye-sok did not reveal her own clear sense of purpose to her art activities. Art is not just a job - it's a vocation. Na Hye-sok was enthusiastic but didn't have a sense of purpose. She should have had a vocation and a sense of purpose. Na Hye-sok was lacking of responsibilities and obligations as a pioneer of Western painting. If there were a distinct vocation and a sense of purpose to Na Hye-sok as an artist, she would have left a trail as valuable as that of George Sand.
The aim of this study is to conduct an evaluation review of the contents of the career education unit in textbooks on technology and home economics for senior high school freshmen. This study adopted the "Objective & System of Career Education" established by the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education & Training as the criterion for evaluating the content of career education, and targeted the unit, "Design of Vocation & Careers", which was included in six different textbooks on technology and home economics for senior high school freshmen involving five different publishers. The unit of "Design of Vocation & Careers" was mostly written in three subunits. An analysis of the textbooks by different, publisher showed that every aspect of the "Objective & System of Career Education" was appropriately covered in the unit. This was achieved by means of the elements of contents and illustrations.
This study was to gain a suggestion how to educate the science gifted student and manage the science gifted education center by analyzing the science gifted student's perception of the science, scientist and vocation. One seventy and eight science gifted students were involved in the questionnaire to investigating the perception of science, scientist and vocation. As the results, many of science gifted students thought the convenience as the positive aspect of science and the environmental pollution as the negative aspect of science. Science gifted students considered most scientists a diligent person, researcher and what's more, they are careless about home. They suggested much more of foreign scientists like Einstein, Edison, etc. than Korean ones as respectable scientists. Scientist is a major vocation that they want and know in the science area, while some students want to be a doctor, occurred to science singer. The mystery, difficulty, complexity, scientist, etc. occurred to science gifted students when they heard the ‘science’. According to the results, there are in need of the new educational programs for the science gifted students and science gifted education center. One of the aims of the science gifted education center is the judgment and cultivation of the science gifted student. Therefore, the science gifted student to be educated to improve positively the images of science and scientist. In addition to, they should get a concern about the vocation in science area and to be a famous scientist.
The research tris to provide some basic data for the efficient method of human resources management and the efficiency of hospital organization by drawing how servant leadership of physical therapists has impact on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. As a measuring device the method of self-fill-in questionnaire survey was utilized and the correlation and regression analysis was practiced on demographic property, the relationships of 11 kinds of variables between servant leadership and organizational commitment. Job satisfaction was concerned with internal motivation, autonomy, hearing, altruistic vocation, community sense, sympathy formation, vision in the positive order, while organizational commitment was concerned with internal motivation, altruistic vocation, vision, autonomy, community sense, hearing, and sympathy formation is the positive order. Supervisors of physical therapists should try to strive to fulfill the demands of therapists in their position, suggest the vision and objectives to them, and enhance their community sense. As a result, supervisors of physical therapists can enhance job satisfaction and organizational commitment in the position of their employees.
The purpose of this study was to test effect of STS instruction using the subject matter of marine life on middle school students' perception of ocean. The objects of 156 students were sampled from the 1st grade of a middle school and were divided into an experimental group and a control group. 79 students of the control group were treated with traditional instruction, while 77 students of the experimental group were treated with STS instruction materials. All of the students took test of perception of ocean before and after the instructions. The perception of ocean was divided into four categories; value of sea, development of marine resources, research and conservation of sea, and perception of sea-related vocation. The results of the pretest and the posttest indicated that the perception of ocean of the experimental group was statistically significantly higher than that of the control group. Specially in categories of the value of sea and the research and conservation of sea, the scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group.
We have implemented the questionnaire survey to study the structure of consciousness of collegian and the Change of the worth view of the vocation on totally 832 collegians who attended to fisheries and martime colleges. The results were as follows : Most collegian had selected college and department by means of surrounding recommendation and acquired scores without regarding his own aptitude and prospect. The educational aims of the collegian who majored in fisheries and maritime field are to carry out the theory and practise along with emphasizing technical education and human-being education together. Concerning to the status of professor. Most collegian had wanted professor not only who had much comprehensive faculty but also who pointed out than well teaching professor. The collegian who consult their prospect with professor was very rare and they were very negative for the learning majoring in fisheries and maritime field. Because the practice guidance was not accomplished effectively on the account of social aspect, most collegian has avoided jobs relating to fisheries and maritime field. Also, they had selected short term on the job training couse aboard the ship.

This study analyzed a unique method of problem-handling, attitudes, and specific interest propensity in the career path of the type with inconsistency in the relative distance between personality type in Holland's hexagonal model. In-depth interviews and theme analysis with six clients who showed inconsistent personality type were conducted. These six were selected from 87 participants that had received training at the Korea Vocational Counselling Association, Korea Training Institute for Self-Sufficiency and Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled. From the analysis, the six clients with inconsistent 3 Codes showed four characteristics - more than three career experience, various interest pursuits, career involvement, and career identity. They were affected in their vocational behavior by their own Holland 3 Codes and showed vocational behavior very different from Holland's theory of person-environment fit approach. They showed positive, ambivalent and chaotic types on career identity. Furthermore, Conventional(C)-Investigative(I)-Social(S) 3 Codes type and Artistic(A)-Enterprising(E)-Realistic(R) 3 Codes type in the same inconsistent personality type showed different vocational behaviors in career path development, which relates to the meaning of Holland's 3 Codes. The significance of this research lies in its provision of various points for improving career counselling.
This thesis is to figure out the job satisfaction and aptitude/vocation recognition of the child welfare teachers dispatched to Region Children Center and provide the basic data for the better children welfare policy in future based on it. First, as for the difference of recognition in the job satisfaction of the child welfare teachers dispatched by the population-statistic property of the research objects, there appeared a meaningful difference by the gender concerning the relation with seniors(p<.01), satisfaction with the office of the child welfare teachers dispatched(p<.01) satisfaction with provided knowledge information(p<.05) and the whole job satisfaction of the child welfare teachers dispatched. As the result of the survey of the recognition on aptitude and job understanding level, there appeared some meaningful differences by the school background on whether or not currently to make efforts to get a better job. In the matter of the pride as to the child welfare teachers dispatched, 27.5% of opinion givers had a clear mission and an objective sense about a current job, and the child welfare teachers dispatched recognized that they felt pleasure and value through the education of students. They understood the difficulty of the management of the children instruction program of region children center in the biggest matters such as the insufficiency of education materials and facilities, and the insufficiency of parents' participation and understanding.

The purpose of this study is to find out how career education has been positioned in secondary school home economics education, and to clarify the identity of career education as one part of home economics education. Furthermore, this study tries to give alternative teaching-learning strategies for life career education across the life span. It deals with home economics curricular and journals. It also analyses the 21 sorts of home economics textbooks and one career and vocation textbook in secondary school, which are supposed to be based on the newly revised 2007 curriculum. As a research method this study takes a qualitative approach. As follows are the results of this study. First, career education has been positioned as one part of home economics education. Second, both career and vocation education and home economics education have dealt with the contents related to career such as self-understanding, career-exploring, deciding-making related to career, career-designing. However, career and vocation education has focused on 'vacational career', whereas home economics education has focused on 'life career' across the life span. Third, this study proposed three alternative teaching-learning strategies for life career education across the life span.
