온라인상의 기업 및 소비자 텍스트 분석과 이를 활용한 온라인 매출 증진 전략 (Linking Findings from Text Analyses to Online Sales Strategies)

  • Much effort has been exerted to analyze online texts and understand how empirical results can help improve sales performance. In this research, we aim to extend this stream of research by decomposing online texts based on text sources, namely, companies and consumers. To be specific, we investigate how online texts driven by companies differ from those generated by consumers, and the extent to which both types of online texts have different effects on online sales. We obtained sales data from one of the biggest game publishers and merged them with online texts provided by companies using news articles and those created by consumers in user communities. The empirical analyses yield the following findings. Word visualization and topic analyses show that firms and consumers generate different contexts. Specifically, companies spread word to promote their own events whereas consumers produce online words to share winning strategies. Moreover, online sales are influenced by consumer-generated community topics whereas firm-driven topics in news articles have little to no effect. These findings suggest that companies should focus more on online texts generated by consumers rather than spreading their own words. Moreover, online sales strategies should take advantage of specific topics that have been proven to increase online sales. In particular, these findings give startup companies and small business owners in variety of industries the advantage when they use the online channel for distribution and as a marketing platform.

Users' Adoption of a Convergent Service: A Case of Interactive TV-based Auction Service (T-auction)

  • This paper Introduces an electronic auction service to be provided on Interactive TV (T-auction). This converged service is expected to much enhance the quality of the service to current online auction users through vivid visualization and live Interactive experience. Our study focuses on how the characteristics of the interactive TV-based shopping platform can affect users' attitudes towards the converged service. To develop our proposed research model, we extended the technology acceptance model and integrated it with a hedonic factor, or perceived enjoyment to reflect the dual characteristics of the converged system. We also adopted the variable of intermediary trust In the service as a critical mediating determinant for a successful commutations-mediated commerce. The research model was verified with an empirical study conducted on 970 Korean online auction users. Results show that both trust and perceived usefulness positively affect user adoption of the service. Trust had not only a direct effect on users' attitudes toward T-auction but also an indirect one by mediating the service quality, information quality, perceived enjoyment and ease of use. Meanwhile, the hedonic factor of T-auction contributes to increasing both the level of the intermediary's trust and its perceived usefulness. Users' enjoyment also was found to help form a positive attitude toward T-auction services. Theoretical and practical implications of this study for current e-auction service providers and potential t-auction service providers are also discussed.

시각화전략을 통한 <지구를 지켜라>의 다성적 내러티브 구축 (Building Polyphonic Narrative of )

  • 포스트 모던 시대의 내러티브는 고전적인 일방향 소통방식에 비해 작가와 수용자의 관계를 특별하게 변화시켰다. 이러한 스토리텔링에서는 수용자가 플롯에 직접 관여하여 내러티브를 변화시킬 수 있는 형식에 대한 논의가 있어왔다. 그러나, 이런 연구들은 일방향적 내러티브 분석에 적용되기에는 어려움이 있다. 이런 가운데 <지구를 지컥라>는 영화의 매체적 특성을 유지하면서도 수용자의 역할을 강조하는 내러티브를 활용하고 있다. <지구를 지켜라>의 내러티브는 관객들에게 다성적으로 읽힌다. 관객들은 영화가 제공하는 서로 다른 목소리를 통해서 표면적인 이야기 외에 스스로가 재구성한 또 하나의 이야기를 만들어 내도록 유도 받는다. 이 글에서는 <지구를 지켜라>의 내러티브를 구성하는 요소들이 어떻게 관객들에게 새로운 이야기를 구성해내도록 하는지 살펴보면서, 두 가지 이야기의 상호작용 속에서 구축된 내러티브를 살펴보고자 한다.

Managing Scheme for 3-dimensional Geo-features using XML

  • Geo-features play a key role in object-oriented or feature-based geo-processing system. So the strategy for how-to-model and how-to-manage the geo-features builds the main architecture of the entire system and also supports the efficiency and functionality of the system. Unlike the conventional 2D geo-processing system, geo-features in 3D GIS have lots to be considered to model regarding the efficient manipulation and analysis and visualization. When the system is running on the Web, it should also be considered that how to leverage the level of detail and the level of automation of modeling in addition to the support for client side data interoperability. We built a set of 3D geo-features, and each geo-feature contains a set of aspatial data and 3D geo-primitives. The 3D geo-primitives contain the fundamental modeling data such as the height of building and the burial depth of gas pipeline. We separated the additional modeling data on the geometry and appearance of the model from the fundamental modeling data to make the table in database more concise and to allow the users more freedom to represent the geo-object. To get the users to build and exchange their own data, we devised a fie format called VGFF 2.0 which stands for Virtual GIS File Format. It is to describe the three dimensional geo-information in XML(extensible Markup Language). The DTD(Document Type Definition) of VGFF 2.0 is parsed using the DOM(Document Object Model). We also developed the authoring tools for users can make their own 3D geo-features and model and save the data to VGFF 2.0 format. We are now expecting the VGFF 2.0 evolve to the 3D version of SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics) especially for 3D GIS on the Web.

회전근 개 부전층 파열: 변연절제술가 봉합술 (Partial thickness tear: Debris vs. Repair)

  • 회전근 개 부전층 파열은 임상적으로 잘 알려진 질환이지만 이에 대한 수술적 치료 원칙은 명확히 정립되어 있지 않다. 파열된 회전근 개에 대한 치료법은 단순 변연절제술에서 견봉하 감압술과 퇴행성 파열 부위의 절제 및 봉합술까지 여러 가지 방법이 추천되고 있다. 수술은 관혈적 혹은 소 절개, 관절경적 술식을 시행할 수 있다. 관혈적과 관절경적 방법의 장단점에 따른 치료 방법을 결정할 때 정밀성과 이환률을 고려한다면 비슷한 위치를 가진다. 회전근 개 질환의 이환 정도를 결정할 때 관절면과 점액낭면 양쪽의 회전근 개를 관찰하고 치료 방침을 결정하여야 한다 때때로 파열이 이차적으로 발생할 수 있으므로 일차적인 병인을 고려하는 것이 중요하다. 부전층 파열은 일차적인 원인을 치료해야 하지만 심한 부전층 파열이 있는 경우는 관절경적 혹은 관혈적 방법으로 퇴행성 병변이 있는 회전근 개를 치료해야 좋은 치료 결과를 얻을 수 있다.

정적 연소기 내 가솔린 직접 분사 시 분무 및 연소특성에 관한 연구 (A Study of Injection and Combustion Characteristics on Gasoline Direct Injection in Constant Volume Chamber)

  • It is being more serious problems that the pollutant and the greenhouse gas emitted from the internal combustion engines due to the increasing demand of automobiles. To counteract this, as one of the ways has been studied, GDI type engine, which is directly injected into the combustion chamber and burns by a spark ignition that chose the merits of both gasoline engine and diesel engine, was appeared. The combustion phenomena in this GDI engine is known to contribute to combustion stability, fuel consumption reduction and reductions of harmful substances of exhaust gas emission, when the fuel spray of atomization being favorable and the mixture formation being promoted. Accordingly, this study analyzed the affection of ambient temperature and fuel injection pressure to the fuel by investigate the visualization of combustion, combustion pressure and the characteristic of emission, by applying GDI system on the constant combustion chamber. As a result, as the fuel injection pressure increases, the fuel distribution in the combustion chamber becomes uniform due to the increase of penetration and atomization. And when ambient temperatures in the combustion chamber become increase, the fuel evaporation rate being high but the penetration was reduced due to the reduction of volume flux, and confirmed that the optimized fuel injection strategy is highly needed.

나노 인포매틱스 기반 구축을 위한 구글 트렌드와 데이터 마이닝 기법을 활용한 나노 기술 트렌드 분석 (Nano Technology Trend Analysis Using Google Trend and Data Mining Method for Nano-Informatics)

  • Our research is aimed at predicting recent trend and leading technology for the future and providing optimal Nano technology trend information by analyzing Nano technology trend. Under recent global market situation, Users' needs and the technology to meet these needs are changing in real time. At this point, Nano technology also needs measures to reduce cost and enhance efficiency in order not to fall behind the times. Therefore, research like trend analysis which uses search data to satisfy both aspects is required. This research consists of four steps. We collect data and select keywords in step 1, detect trends based on frequency and create visualization in step 2, and perform analysis using data mining in step 3. This research can be used to look for changes of trend from three perspectives. This research conducted analysis on changes of trend in terms of major classification, Nano technology of 30's, and key words which consist of relevant Nano technology. Second, it is possible to provide real-time information. Trend analysis using search data can provide information depending on the continuously changing market situation due to the real-time information which search data includes. Third, through comparative analysis it is possible to establish a useful corporate policy and strategy by apprehending the trend of the United States which has relatively advanced Nano technology. Therefore, trend analysis using search data like this research can suggest proper direction of policy which respond to market change in a real time, can be used as reference material, and can help reduce cost.

GDL을 고려한 고분자전해질형 연료전지 모사 단위 유로 채널에서의 물방울 유동 특성에 대한 실험적인 고찰 (Experimental Investigation of the Water Droplet Dynamics inside the Simulated PEMFC Single Flow Channel with GDL)

  • Polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) are regarded as a promising alternative to replace the existing automotive power sources. To get high performance and long-term durability for PEMFC systems, novel water management is essential. To this end, a comprehensive understanding of dynamics of the liquid water droplets within an operating PEMFC plays an important role. In this work, direct visualization of dynamic behaviors of the water droplet in the ex situ unit flow channel of a PEMFC including gas diffusion layer (GDL) is carried out as one of the fundamental studies for novel water management. Water droplet dynamics such as the movement and growth of liquid water droplets are mainly presented. Effects of GDL characteristics and inlet air flow rate on the water droplet transport and its removal from the flow channel are also discussed. The data obtained in this study can contribute to build up the fundamental operating strategy including balanced water removal capacity for automotive PEMFC systems.

A Bibliometric Approach for Department-Level Disciplinary Analysis and Science Mapping of Research Output Using Multiple Classification Schemes

  • This study describes an approach for comparative bibliometric analysis of scientific publications related to (i) individual or several departments comprising a university, and (ii) broader integrated subject areas using multiple disciplinary schemes. It uses a custom dataset of scientific publications (ca. 15,000 articles and reviews, published during 2009-2013, and recorded in the Web of Science Core Collections) with author affiliations to the research departments, dedicated to science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine (STEMM), of a comprehensive university. The dataset was subjected, at first, to the department level and discipline level analyses using the newly available KAKEN-L3 classification (based on MEXT/JSPS Grants-in-Aid system), hierarchical clustering, correspondence analysis to decipher the major departmental and disciplinary clusters, and visualization of the department-discipline relationships using two-dimensional stacked bar diagrams. The next step involved the creation of subsets covering integrated subject areas and a comparative analysis of departmental contributions to a specific area (medical, health and life science) using several disciplinary schemes: Essential Science Indicators (ESI) 22 research fields, SCOPUS 27 subject areas, OECD Frascati 38 subordinate research fields, and KAKEN-L3 66 subject categories. To illustrate the effective use of the science mapping techniques, the same subset for medical, health and life science area was subjected to network analyses for co-occurrences of keywords, bibliographic coupling of the publication sources, and co-citation of sources in the reference lists. The science mapping approach demonstrates the ways to extract information on the prolific research themes, the most frequently used journals for publishing research findings, and the knowledge base underlying the research activities covered by the publications concerned.

Imbalanced sample fault diagnosis method for rotating machinery in nuclear power plants based on deep convolutional conditional generative adversarial network

  • Rotating machinery is widely applied in important equipment of nuclear power plants (NPPs), such as pumps and valves. The research on intelligent fault diagnosis of rotating machinery is crucial to ensure the safe operation of related equipment in NPPs. However, in practical applications, data-driven fault diagnosis faces the problem of small and imbalanced samples, resulting in low model training efficiency and poor generalization performance. Therefore, a deep convolutional conditional generative adversarial network (DCCGAN) is constructed to mitigate the impact of imbalanced samples on fault diagnosis. First, a conditional generative adversarial model is designed based on convolutional neural networks to effectively augment imbalanced samples. The original sample features can be effectively extracted by the model based on conditional generative adversarial strategy and appropriate number of filters. In addition, high-quality generated samples are ensured through the visualization of model training process and samples features. Then, a deep convolutional neural network (DCNN) is designed to extract features of mixed samples and implement intelligent fault diagnosis. Finally, based on multi-fault experimental data of motor and bearing, the performance of DCCGAN model for data augmentation and intelligent fault diagnosis is verified. The proposed method effectively alleviates the problem of imbalanced samples, and shows its application value in intelligent fault diagnosis of actual NPPs.
