Consumer's Aesthetic Response to Direct, Mediating and Interactive Effects of Typicality and Form Aesthetics in Product Design (제품디자인에 있어 전형성과 심미성 요소(균형)의 상호작용과 조절변수에 의한 사용자의 심미적 반응에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, design has emerged as a key factor of successful product development. This study reviewed the elements of form with a view point of addressing and defining the elements of aesthetics and how they influence consumer aesthetic response. Though past researches related to form aesthetics reported that form aesthetics exist as a single element with other sub-elements, this research made further investigations into form aesthetics and reported that form aesthetics in product design can be broadly divided into form aesthetics and content aesthetics. Empirical studies on each category was undertaken and from the results obtained, it was concluded that typicality is a dominant element in content aesthetics while balance is a dominant element in form aesthetics. Also, the study investigated the effect of conditional variables such as price and people on each category and it was observed that both content and form aesthetics elements are affected by conditional variables such as price, people. Furthermore, the study reports that both content and form aesthetics elements are mutually correlated and both categories affect user's aesthetics response. It is intended that the results obtained from this work will contribute to theoretical knowledge of aesthetic elements and can be put to use by product design and manufacturing companies.

  • This paper describes prototype Aids to Navigation Simulation System (AtoNSiS) that we have recently developed Aids to Navigation (AtoN) training equipment based on the virtual reality technology. To produce an enhanced AtoN simulation experience, three-dimensional (3D) cardinal and lateral buoys are created, and then build up the virtual 3D waterway world according to the guidelines of IALA (International Association of Lighthouse Authorities) in region B. The AtoNSiS have Simulation Module (SM) and Explanatory Module (EM). SM is to learn about the IALA-B system using virtual navigation world varying with environmental factors. EM is to view more detailed marker characteristics using 3D objects. In this work, we present system design concepts, development processes, and simulation experiments of prototype AtoNSiS. Results from tests and evaluations with five subjects provide practical insight on the importance of AtoNSiS.

  • This empirical study evaluated the 2016 Cheonan KIEMSTA(Korea International Exhibition of Machinery, Equipment, Science and Technology for Agriculture) based on an exhibitor's view. A total of 15 items of importance and performance were selected and 4 quadrants were analyzed for further analysis. The results revealed the following significant factors:concentration region with generating sales, exploring market opportunities in a new region, and meeting key decision makers; the Overkill region with collecting information regarding thecompetitor's product, demonstrating thecompany's capability, increasing staff's trade show experience, and training the sales teams; Low priority region with discovering new products, exploring export opportunities in a foreign market, and gaining an edge over competitors who are not exhibiting; and Keep up the work region bymaintaining relationships with existing customers, collecting market information, benchmarking competitor's position, introducing new product, and motivating sales people.

  • To identify characteristics of social network farm game based on smart phone platform, this study analyzed how social network play experience connects with the space of farm game. The play experience of social network farm game based on smart phone platform is mainly composed of three modules for cultivating, placing environment, extending space. This study categorized space for external perspective space, internal perspective space, symbolic design space according to space experience theory and researched play experience in these spaces. In farm game players perceive space by fixed point of view, and make their own space a standard unit for reinterpreting and rearranging modules. In this process the space played subjective role not only background to bring co-work play is essential in social network game.

User Reputation Evaluation Using Co-occurrence Feature and Collective Intelligence (동시출현 자질과 집단 지성을 이용한 지식검색 문서 사용자 명성 평가)

  • The user needs to find the answer to your question is growing fast at the service using collective intelligent knowledge. In the previous researches, it was proven that the non-text information like view counting, referrer number, and number of answer is good in evaluating answers. There were also many works about evaluating answers using the various kinds of word dictionaries. In this work, we propose new method to evaluate answers to question effectively using user reputation that estimated by the social activity. We use a modified PageRank algorithm for estimating user reputation. We also use the similarity between question and answer. From the result of experiment in the Naver GisikiN corpus, we can see that the proposed method gives meaningful performance to complement the answer selection rate.

  • The educational exchange through e-learning is working very well in such case as develop e-learning, development of various learning tools, cooperative practical use of e-learning contents, etc. However because there were no considerations of LMS(Learning Management System) interconnection when each systems were developed, the exchange through e-learning is starting to raise a problem. Hence in this thesis, this paper presents designed model about efficient LMS interconnection through analysis case of exchange through e-learning and deduce problem. In the first place essential part for is defied study such as lecture establishment data, lecture data, user data, class data, student learning tracking to interconnection data, then constituted data interconnection table used view by data interconnection process. By experiment result, the accessibility between students and professors was more convenience, and decreased work process by less data exchange. Henceforth there are researches in development of various essential parts for study, considered security of LMS interconnection.

  • A routing policy based on BGP community routing permits to select a specific route for particular network by making use of user-defined routing policies. Especially, community based routing policy is recently getting a great concern to enhance overall performance in the global research networks which are generally inter-connected large number of different characterized networks. In this paper, we analyze the community routing which has been applied in existing global research networks in the network performance point of view, and catch hold of problems caused by the routing performance in a new global research network. Then, we suggest an effective community routing policy model along with an interconnection architecture of research networks, in order to make correct some wrong routings and resolve an asymmetric routing problem, for a new global research network. Our work is expected to be utilized as an enabling base technology to improve the network performance of future global research networks as well as commercial networks.

  • Recently, many high-rise buildings have been constructed, and are under construction. And a high-rise building with more than 100 floors is under planning. From site logistics management point of view, it is very important to manage vertical transportation of resource (e.g., material, equipment and construction labors) in high-rise building construction. The higher the building is constructed, the more important it is to manage for vertical transportation of it. In case of labors, vertical movement needs longer time in high-rise building construction than in low-rise. This results in low productivity and work efficiency of the construction. Therefore, this study presents a process of a vertical movement plan for labors using discrete-event simulation. And then the process applies to MT 130 project, which is a virtual high-rise building construction project.

Pointing Stability Study of the GOCI Scan Mechanism (해양탑재체 스캔 미캐니즘의 포인팅 안정성 연구)

  • GOCI is the core paryload of the geostationary satellite COMS(Communication, Ocean and Meteological Satellite) for ocean monitoring. It is scheduled to be launched at the end of 2008. GOCI observes ocean color around the Korean Peninsula over $2500km\times2500km$ area. It used tilted two-axis scan mechanism to observe entire field of view. In this work, the pointing stability of the tilted two-axis method is analyzed and compared with that of gimbal method. The analysis results show that tilted two-axis method gives great stability and it is adequate for geostationary payload. The results can also be used to determine and analyze the mechanism specifications.

  • Estimation on SW Sizing applied to fintech is very difficult, a task requiring long time, it is difficult for client companies and developer companies to accurately calculate the size of software development. The size is generally estimated based on the experience of project managers and the general functional scoring method. In this paper, propose a model that can be applied to fintech development projects by quantitatively calculating the required functions from the user's point of view, measuring the scale, and calculating the scale in real time. Through the proposed model, the amount of work can be estimated prior to development and the size can be measured, and the M/M and the estimated quotation amount can be calculated based on the program list by each layer. In future studies, by securing size computation data on existing the Fintech Project in mass, research on accurate size computation would be required.
