고엽제 노출이 폐렴의 치료 결과에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Agent Orange in Patient with Pneumonia)

  • Purpose: Agent Orange (AO) is a herbicide and defoliant used by the United States and its military allies during the Vietnam War. Pneumonia is a common cause of death among Vietnam veterans in our hospital. There have been no previous studies researching any association between AO exposure and the prognosis for pneumonia. The primary objective of this study was to investigate associations between AO exposure and 30-day mortality due to pneumonia. The secondary objective was to examine the clinical factors associated with therapeutic outcomes in veterans with pneumonia, and to assess the prevalence of combined diseases in AO-exposed veterans. Methods: This study retrospectively included veteran patients diagnosed with pneumonia in the emergency department and hospitalized between February 2014 and March 2018. The enrolled patients were grouped according to their defoliant exposure history, and the clinical information of defoliant-exposed and non-defoliant-exposed groups were compared. Patients were divided according to 30-day mortality, and significant factors influencing mortality were evaluated by using univariate analysis and multivariate analysis. The final multivariate model revealed the effect of AO exposure on therapeutic outcomes of pneumonia. Results: A total of 1006 patients were analyzed. Of these, 276 patients had a history of AO exposure, whereas 730 patients had not been exposed. Factors positively associated with 30-day mortality were malignancy, respiratory rate, blood urea nitrogen, and albumin which was negatively associated with mortality. Conclusion: Exposure to defoliant is not associated with 30-day mortality in patients with pneumonia. However, veterans with defoliant exposure are associated with a high prevalence of diabetes mellitus, hypertension, cerebrovascular accident, malignancy, and chronic kidney disease.

  • 공연예술계의 원로배우에 대한 기록과 보존의 과정은 여타 다른 예술장르보다 까다롭고 난해하여 원형 그대로의 형태로 유지한다는 것은 불가능하다. 그럼에도 불구하고 생존하고 있는 원로배우를 대상으로 기록화 하는 작업에 대한 연구 필요성과 역사적 의미는 매우 중요하다. 한국연극사의 다양한 시도와 발전은 열악한 환경 속에서도 현장을 지킨 공연예술인들의 부단한 노력에 의해 활발히 진행되어 왔다. 하지만 공연예술계의 예술인들의 대한 기록사업의 기록과 보존에 대한 인식이 뒤늦게 이뤄져 한국 근현대 예술사를 빛낸 원로배우들의 소중한 자산들이 손. 망실 되어가고 있는 것은 안타까운 일이 아닐 수 없다. 이에 본 연구는 배우, 작가, 연출가 등으로 활동을 한 원로배우 김길호(金吉浩)의 일생 중 남도(南道) 목포연극을 중심으로 그의 활동과 생애를 탐색하고 원로배우 유산 기록화 하는 작업의 의미를 되새기고자한다.

초임 중등 과학 교사의 수업 불안 실태 및 전문성 발달 노력에 관한 연구 (Study on Teaching Anxiety and Efforts for Professional Development of Beginning Secondary Science Teachers)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 초임 중등 과학 교사들의 수업 불안과 전문성 발달 실태에 대해 알아보는 것이다. 연구를 위해 경력 5년 미만의 초임 과학교사 83명을 대상을 설문 조사를 실시하고 그 중 다섯 명을 선정하여 심층 면담을 실시하였다. 초임 과학 교사들이 겪는 어려움을 알아보기 위해 수업에 대한 불안정도를 조사한 결과, 초임 과학교사들은 수업 불안을 느끼는 비율이 높았으며, 특히, 물리 과목과 화학 실험 지도에서 가장 높은 불안을 나타냈다. 이들은 수업 불안 극복을 위해 주로 인터넷 정보 검색을 하거나 동료 교사의 도움을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 과학 교사로서의 전문성 발달을 위한 계획으로는 연수와 교사 모임 참석을 들었다. 전문성 신장을 위해 가장 필요한 연수 프로그램으로는 수업을 잘하는 교사의 노하우 강의를 들었다.

  • Solomon Islands located in South-pacific. So, this country has much fishery resources. But Solomon Islands can't exploit efficiently and effectively this resources because of delay of national industrial development. Therefore, if developed fishery industry's technology of the Korea pass to Solomon Islands, there are lots of contribution to nation's foods and industry development. If the established fisheries in the Solomon Islands College of the National University in order to train them in the veteran of fishery curriculum and processes fit the Solomon Islands, advancing the national development of the Solomon Islands it would be the occasion. Moreover, it may be a great contribution to development of Solomon Islands and relationship of Korea through the continuous education.

  • To design protection coordination for an electric power distribution system, an expert system is developed, using both the veteran expert's heuristics and the guide book for the distribution facility operation considering feeder configuration, service route, load characteristics fault current and load current. The expert system developed in this papaer determines the type of protective device(clearing current and sequence). The location and rating change of protective device in the old feeder is realized by using old database. Current(T-C) curves of various kinds of protective devices are stored in Knowledge Base (KB). The expert system is developed on a 32 bit personal computer using PROLOG, AutoCAD,dBASEIIIPLUS and FORTRAN. To compute the fault current and loadflow, FORTRAN is used.

제조공정 개선을 위한 생산계획 평가 시뮬레이션 (A simulation of production planning strategies for the improvement of a manufacturing process)

  • A manufacturing environment without a computerized system causes numerous problems, since many important decisions are made based on the experience of veteran staffs. Especially, when a strategy for the improvement of manufacturing efficiency is considered, it is hard to predict the effect of the strategy. A solution to the problem without large investment of the computerized system is the simulation study. This paper shows the modeling and simulation based on DEVS(Discrete Event System Specification). Two types of models are implemented, one for representing the current production strategy and the other for the new strategy. The new strategy is expressed as priority rules within the model. The process in concern is the metal grating production process in which the size of the group, for applying a specific cutting and scheduling strategies, is one of the important factors in improving the production efficiency. Some reliable criteria for the evaluation related to the production effeciency are established from the simulation study.

초임교사 교직 적응을 위한 지원 방안 (Ways of Support for Beginning Teacher Induction in Elementary School)

  • This study is to find ways of support for beginning teacher induction in elementary school with constructing model of professional development. To achieve this purpose, this study reviewed significance of beginning teacher induction program, the bridge to life learning, and constructed the model of professional development for beginning. The final conclusion about ways of support as support intensity are orientation based on demanding of beginning teacher, bridge connection with veteran teacher, coordination of working conditions, collaboration among peer teacher, and strengthening computer network at week intensity level. At strong intensity level, the ways of support for beginning teacher are institutionalization on election and training of mentor, institutionalization on compulsory induction for 1 year, development and operation of teacher education center, and furtherance of school learning organization.

인공지능기법을 이용한 전자회로보오드의 자동검사전략에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Automatic Test Strategy of the Electronic Circuit Board Using Artificial Intelligence)

  • This paper proposes an expert system to generate automatically the test table of test system which can highly enhance the quality and productivity of product by inspecting quickly and accurately the defect device on the electronic circuit board tested. The expert system identifies accurately the tested components and the circuit patterns by tracing automatically the connectivity of circuit from electronic circuit database. And it generates automatically the test table to detect accurately the missing components, the misplaced components, and the wrong components for analog components such as resistance, coil, condenser, diode, and transistor, based on the experience knowledge of veteran expert. It is implemented in C computer language for the purpose of the implementation of the inference engine using the dynamic memory allocation technique, the interface with the electronic circuit database and the hardware direct control. And, the validity of the builded expert system is proved by simulating for a typical electronic board model.

휴리스틱 탐색기법에 근거한 철도입환진로의 자동결정전략 설계 (Strategies for the Automatic Decision of Railway Shunting Routes Based on the Heuristic Search Method)

  • This paper proposes an expert system which can determine automatically the shunting routes corresponding to the given shunting works by considering totally the train operating environments in the station. The expert system proposes the multiple shunting routes with priority of selection based on heuristic search strategy. Accordingly, system operator can select a shunting route with the safety and efficiency among the those shunting routes. The expert system consists of a main inference engine and a sub inference engine. The main inference engine determines the shunting routes with selection priority using the segment routes obtained from the sub inference engine. The heuristic rules are extracted from operating knowledges of the veteran route operator and station topology. It is implemented in C computer language for the purpose of the implementation of the inference engine using the dynamic memory allocation technique. And, the validity of the builted expert system is proved by a test case for the model station.

토니 모리슨의 『고향』: 타자를 향한 윤리적 실천 (Toni Morrison' Home: Ethical Practice toward Others)

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the attitudes and practices of life demanded for authentic existence in adversity, focusing on Toni Morrison's Home which was published in 2012. Home portrays the journey of Frank Money, an African-American veteran of the Korean War who strives to extricate his sister Cee from inhumane violence. Through this work, Morrison criticizes prevalent racism in the 1950s which is regarded as a time of affluence and peace through this sibling's agony. In this paper, firstly I attempt to examine the aspects of racism which Frank and Cee face and their distorted survival strategies. Secondly I try to find the right direction of brother and sister relationship based on Frank and Cee who are compared to Hansel and Gretel. Thirdly I try to point out the importance of self-reflection required for the healing process of Frank and Cee who overcome adversity and restore their identity with the help of Samaritans. And I investigate the possibility of ethical practice going beyond my family to strangers.
