A two-dimensional photochemical transport model (2D PTM) is simulated to describe the transport and chemical reaction of ozone related to aerosols in the troposphere and stratosphere. The vertical profiles and total amounts of ozone, which are advected by both residual Eulerian circulation and the adiabatic circulation under certain circumstance, have been compared with the observation data such as ozonesondes, Brewer spectrometer, the Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS), and the Total Ozone Mapping Spectrophotometer (TOMS). As a result, we find that the observed distribution of ozone Is adequately reproduced in the model at middle and high latitude in the Northern Hemisphere as well as at Phang ($36^{\circ}\;02'N,\;129^{\circ}\;23'E$) in South Korea. In particular, the 2D PTM is well simulated in the ozone decrease due to the Pinatubo volcanic eruption in 1991. However, ozone mixing ratio are more underestimated than those of UARS and ozonesondes, because are very sensitive to the latitude of transport across the tropopause associated with both Rummukainen errors and off-line model. Relative mean bias errors and relative root mean square errors of ozone calculations using the 2D PTM are shown within${\pm}10%$, respectively.
Internal waves and internal tides occur frequently along the eastern coast of Korea. During the spring-tide period in April 2003, the East Korean Warm Current (EKWC) flowed near the Korean East Coast Farming Forecast System (KECFFS; a moored oceanographic measurement system), creating a strong thermocline at the intermediate layer. Weakened stratification and well-mixed water appeared frequently around the KECFFS, with duration of approximately 1 day. The results suggest the following scenario. Baroclinic motion related to the internal tide generated high frequency internal waves around the thermocline. The breaking of those waves then created turbulence around the thermocline. After well-mixed water appeared, a current component with perpendicular direction to the EKWC appeared within the inertial period. The change in stratification around the KECFFS locally broke the geostrophic balance as a transient state. This local vertical mixing formed an ageostrophic current within the inertial period.

We present a high frequency electromagnetic (EM) inversion scheme for detecting and characterizing a fracture using single-hole data. At high frequencies, say above tens of mega-hertz, since displacement currents cannot be ignored, electrical permittivity as well as electrical conductivity is to be considered together for analyzing the EM scattering data. In this paper, we have developed a three-step inversion scheme to map the fracture and to evaluate its electrical conductivity and permittivity. We performed EM profiling along the z-axis using three-component receivers for each source. The model was excited by a vertical magnetic dipole and the resistant magnetic fields were inverted using the non-linear least-squares method. Background resistivity and permittivity were easily obtained using vertical magnetic fields below 1 MHz and above 10 MHz, respectively. Both the vertical and dipping sheets were successfully mapped using the phase difference between 40 and 41 MHz. The electrical property of the sheet was well resolved using the information obtained in the previous two steps and secondary magnetic fields. Our study shows the potential of imaging the fracture in single-hole survey environment using the high frequency EM method.

Compliant Vertical Access Risers (CVARs) are compliant systems that incorporate a differentiated geometric configuration that allows the exploitation of oil and gas in deepwater fields and enables a number of operational advantages in the offshore system. One of the main features of CVAR systems is that they allow direct intervention procedures to be applied to the well bore, enabling workover operations to be performed directly from the production platform. Based on the principles of virtual work and variation, a static geometric nonlinear equation of CVARs is derived and applied in this study. The results of this study show that the two ends of the riser as well as the transition region are subject to high stress, while the positions of the floating platform exert significant effects on the geometry of the riser configuration. Compliance and buoyancy factors should be set moderately to reduce the CVAR stress. In addition, the buoyancy modules should be placed in the lower region, in order to maximize the operation advantages of CVAR.
Results of an experimental investigation on the behavior and ultimate shear capacity of 27 reinforced concrete Transfer (deep) beams are summarized. The main variables were percent longitudinal(tension) steel (0.28 to 0.60%), percent horizontal web steel (0.60 to 2.40%), percent vertical steel (0.50to 2.25%), percent orthogonal web steel, shear span-to-depth ratio (1.10 to 3.20) and cube concrete compressive strength (32 MPa to 48 MPa).The span of the beam has been kept constant at 1000 mm with100 mm overhang on either side of the supports. The result of this study shows that the load transfer capacity of transfer (deep) beam with distributed longitudinal reinforcement is increased significantly. Also, the vertical shear reinforcement is more effective than the horizontal reinforcement in increasing the shear capacity as well as to transform the brittle mode of failure in to the ductile mode of failure. It has been observed that the orthogonal web reinforcement is highly influencing parameter to generate the shear capacity of transfer beams as well as its failure modes. Moreover, the results from the experiments have been processed suitably and presented an analytical model for design of transfer beams in high-rise buildings for estimating the shear capacity of beams.
In this paper, we improved, compared and analyzed the articulation of school mathematics. We also tried to form the theoretical basis of school mathematics by classifying and considering the articulation into vertical articulation and horizontal articulation depending on the meaning, and give an actual help. The articulation of school mathematics until now has been focused on a study of vertical articulation according to the macroscopic characteristic of mathematics, but now a study of the horizontal articulation as well as the vertical articulation should be done in consideration of the micro characteristics of mathematics and various realities of life by modifying a syllabus of the function unit and by using internet homepage. Thus, we structurally divided the articulation into vertical articulation and horizontal articulation, analyzed mathematical activities and presented actual models of each representative learning activity for smooth teaching in schools through the function unit.
The purpose of this study was to develop the uniaxial force plate system which is measured by the vertical force. The VGRF(vertical ground reaction force) 1.0 was composed of 2 bath digital scales, 2 indicaters, and analyzing software. This system was newly renovated to VGRF 2,0 which are 2 industrial digital scales, 2 adjustable indicators, and enforced analyzing software. Changes of the new system were as follows. First, the height of the plate was 75% lower than before. Second, sensing ability of the load cell was changed from 90 - 0.05kg to 300 - 0.1kg. Third, the speed of data processing was changed from 17 per second to 60 per second. Fourth, analyzing software was enforced to develop and calculate the data. For the test of the system, two different types(bare foot, high-heeled shoes) gait was adopted. highly skilled female walker(23yrs, height 165cm, body mass 46.8kg) participated for the experimental study. During the dynamic performance(gait analysis), the data of each load cell were very similar to the previous studies. Specifically, bare foot walking had less vertical force than high-heeled shoes. Consequently, VGRF 2.0 can sense the general dynamic movements as well as static load conditions.

In the vertical drain method, discharge capacity is generally one of the most important factor which affect on the estimation of the drain efficiency. However, adopting the drain considering discharge capacity only is not sufficiently considered method so that systematic criteria for adoption is necessary to choose the most suitable drain. Therefore, this study represents the application method considering behavior of the ground and vertical drain which is coupled together and ground improvement efficiency analyzing various cases of discharge capacity test performed in the recent soft ground improvement projects. According to the analysis, most drains tend to satisfy the required discharge capacity. It presents that deformed shape of the drains and well resistance estimation along the ground settlement, improvement efficiency by water content ratio along the depth and shear strength obtained after ground improvement should be considered altogether with the discharge capacity to select the proper drain. Also, appropriate adoption of drain material considering the ground condition is vital through analyzing the field measured data and comparing the result of the discharge capacity test as various vertical drain materials are being constructed continuously.
The purpose of this experiment was to find out the stages of result of specific character for Horse Vaulting Yeo motion To put the Yeo movement in process, we needed a gymnastics athlete C height of 165cm, weight of 62kg, age of 32, personal history of 21 years, and tested the athlete 5 times of motion training, and picked out the 2 best motion and analyzed it. Athletic reason is vertical motion, time uses, horizontal motion, distance, speed, and analyzed many other reasons as a result, and finally ended up with this conclusion. 1. After the take off on the board horizontal speed gradually decreased However, reverse of that, it showed that vertical speed increased. 2. While contacting the Horse Vaulting, horizontal speed decreased and vertical speed kept on increasing. Taking off Com the Horse Vaulting, horizontal, showing short time of training, 3m vertical height is shown after using Yeo motion at the peak of second fly jump. 3. While contacting the Horse Vaulting, both arms were showing the flection shape Especially this is also while contacting the Horse Vaulting, left arm was showing $90^{\circ}$ angle, and this has happened between the process of transition period of fast horizontal speed to vertical speed. 4. While contacting the Horse Vaulting, perfect blocking of the left arm must be complete for the right arm to have the perfect blocking as well.

Vertically-aligned silicon nanostructure arrays (SNAs) have been drawing much attention due to their useful electrical properties, large surface area, and quantum confinement effect. SNAs are typically fabricated by chemical vapor deposition, reactive ion etching, or wet chemical etching. Recently, metal-assisted chemical etching process, which is relatively simple and cost-effective, in combination with nanosphere lithography was recently demonstrated for vertical SNA fabrication with controlled SNA diameters, lengths, and densities. However, this method exhibits limitations in terms of large-area preparation of unperiodic nanostructures and SNA geometry tuning independent of inter-structure separation. In this work, we introduced the layerby- layer deposition of polyelectrolytes for holding uniformly dispersed polystyrene beads as mask and demonstrated the fabrication of well-dispersed vertical SNAs with controlled geometric parameters on large substrates. Additionally, we present a new means of building in vitro neuronal networks using vertical nanowire arrays. Primary culture of rat hippocampal neurons were deposited on the bare and conducting polymer-coated SNAs and maintained for several weeks while their viability remains for several weeks. Combined with the recently-developed transfection method via nanowire internalization, the patterned vertical nanostructures will contribute to understanding how synaptic connectivity and site-specific perturbation will affect global neuronal network function in an extant in vitro neuronal circuit.
