  • For verifying consistency and completeness of some UML diagrams as a representative of a graphical notations for object-oriented designs, I first give an analysis of some UML diagrams and apply some verifying rules to the UML diagrams. In this paper, I design effective verifying system which possesses both diagramming facility and the consistency and completeness checking capability. The verifying system uses a set of frames to represent internal diagramming information.

  • For verifying consistency and completeness of some UML diagrams as a representative of the graphic notations for object-oriented designs, we first give an analysis of some UML diagrams and apply simple ER model to the UML diagrams. Next, we formally define this graphical representation as a set of sets and a set of functions. According to the semantics of these functions, we derive a set of rules to assure the consistency and completeness of this graphical representation. These rules will be included with a CASE tool, which possesses both the diagramming facility and the consistency and completeness checking capability.

  • The consistency of UML diagrams is a nature for checking whether diagrams are coherently designed with only one requirements and the correctness of UML Diagrams, especially it uses OCL(Object Constraint Language) which is standard constraint language in UML. Firstly we devise metamodels that are described with conponent and relationships, then we derive verification rules from each matamodels for verifying correctness and consistency, and then we formally specify the rules with OCL for automatic verification. Finally we verify the rules with USE TOOL.

  • The UML is a widely accepted standard in object-oriented modeling. As the UML is semantically rich, we can describe in detail the system that will be developed, but we cannot guarantee the correctness and consistency of the designed model. Therefore, it is important to minimize the error by verifying user models in an early stage. In this paper, we propose a method for verifying the consistency of UML structural diagrams and behavioral diagrams using OCL verification rules and meta-metamodel. The consistency is a nature for checking whether the structural diagrams and behavioral diagrams are coherently designed according to a specific requirement. First we build meta-metamodels of the structural diagram and behavioral diagram that are described with the UML diagrams and the related elements, we derive rules for verifying the consistency from each meta-metamodels, and then formally specify with the language such as OCL for automatic verification. Finally, we verify the usefulness of the rule through a case study.

  • In this paper, it proposes an efficient iterative stopping rules using absolute mean values for the LLR difference values between the first and second decoder in the present decoding process. It is verifying that the proposal algorithm can be reduced the average number of iterations compared to conventional scheme with a negligible degradation of the error performance.

  • In this paper, we propose a tube-hole center detection vision algorithm verifying the position of a tele-controlled robot and providing visual information for increasing reliability and efficiency in the diagnosis of steam generator (SG) tubes in nuclear power plant. A tele-controlled robot plays a role in carrying the probe used in inspecting the integrity of SG tubes. Thus accurately locating a tele-controlled robot on the desired tube-hole center is important issue for reliability of inspection. To do this work, we have to find the tube-hole center locations from the input image. At first, we apply the three-class segmentation method modified for this application. WE extract minimum bounding rectangles (MBRs) in the theresholded binary image. Second, for discriminating between MBR by tube and MBR by noise, we introduce the MBR rejection rules as knowledge-based rule set. MBRs are divided into the very dark region MBRs and the very bright region MBRs. In order to describe the region of complete tube-hole, the MBRs need a process of pairing each other. We then can find the tube-hole center from the paired MBR. For more accurately finding the tube-hole center in several sequential images, the centers of some frames need to be averaged. We tested the performance of our method using hundreds of real images.

  • In our study, we tried to quantify Qi through establishing the interpretive method which would be used for inspecting the interrelationship between the Qi in Oriental Medicine and the physiological signals measured at the acupoint. We found out that some physiological signals measured at the acupoint of Meridian could be considered as a scientific Qi. Circulation rules of Qi probating the linkage between physiological signals and Qi are presented as promoting and counteracting rules of the Five Evolutive Phases within the traditional Oriental medicine literatures. We found that promoting and counteracting relations of the Five Evolutive Phases based on the New table about the rule of causing unbalance state(nTRCUS) can be widely used as a interpreting device for verifying the interrelation of human physiological signals and Qi. Standardizing the measured physiological signals into percentage could make relative comparison and judgement of the Five Evolutive Phases deviation possible. Though the physiological signals measured by instruments have different physical values, we could have the interpretation by the same promoting and counteracting rules of the Five Enolutive Phases. We measured EAV indices for 24 hours and discussed them in the view of Qi Circulation in Meridian.

  • The discovery of tacit knowledge from domain experts is one of the most exciting challenges in today\`s knowledge management. The nature of decision knowledge in determining the quality a firm\`s short-term liquidity is full of abstraction, ambiguity, and incompleteness, and presents a typical tacit knowledge extraction problem. In dealing with knowledge discovery of this nature, we propose a scheme that integrates both knowledge elicitation and knowledge discovery in the knowledge engineering processes. The knowledge elicitation component applies the Verbal Protocol Analysis to establish industrial cases as the basic knowledge data set. The knowledge discovery component then applies fuzzy clustering to the data set to build a fuzzy knowledge based system, which consists of a set of fuzzy rules representing the decision knowledge, and membership functions of each decision factor for verifying linguistic expression in the rules. The experimental results confirm that the proposed scheme can effectively discover the expert\`s tacit knowledge, and works as a feedback mechanism for human experts to fine-tune the conversion processes of converting tacit knowledge into implicit knowledge.

  • In this paper, we propose an FA-RBAC (FA-RBAC) model based on flexible properties. This model is assigned attribute-role-centric, making it easy to manage objects, as efficient as access control, and as the network environment changes, it can provide flexible access control. In addition, fine-grained permissions and simple access control can be achieved while balancing the advantages and disadvantages of the RBAC and ABAC models, reducing the number of access control rules by combining static attribute-based roles and dynamic attribute-based rules, and verifying the validity and performance benefits of the proposed model through comparison analysis and simulation.
