The enthalpies of transfer, ${\Delta}H_t{\Theta}$, of NaI from water to aqueous methanol, ethanol and isopropanol, iPrOH, systems are reported. These data have been analysed in terms of the new solvation theory. These data are considered in terms of the new developed solvation theory including variable ($\alpha$n + $\beta$N), the net effect of the solute on the solvent-solvent bonding, is positive if there is a net breaking or weakening of solvent-solvent bonds. The solvation parameters recovered from the analyses indicate that the net affect of NaI on solvent structure is a breaking of solvent-solvent bonds and that NaI is preferentially solvated by water in all aqueous alcohol systems considered. ($\alpha$n + $\beta$N) values increase with increasing in the size of the alcohol alkyl residue from methanol to iPrOH.
In this paper, the fractional Hardy-type operator of variable order ${\beta}(x)$ is shown to be bounded from the Herz-Morrey spaces $M\dot{K}^{{\alpha},{\lambda}}_{p_1,q_1({\cdot})}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ with variable exponent $q_1(x)$ into the weighted space $M\dot{K}^{{\alpha},{\lambda}}_{p_2,q_2({\cdot})}(\mathbb{R}^n,{\omega})$, where ${\omega}=(1+|x|)^{-{\gamma}(x)}$ with some ${\gamma}(x)$ > 0 and $1/q_1(x)-1/q_2(x)={\beta}(x)/n$ when $q_1(x)$ is not necessarily constant at infinity. It is assumed that the exponent $q_1(x)$ satisfies the logarithmic continuity condition both locally and at infinity that 1 < $q_1({\infty}){\leq}q_1(x){\leq}(q_1)+$ < ${\infty}(x{\in}\mathbb{R}^n)$.

Objective : To comparatively investigate the expression of several integrins in specimens of human bone metastases and degenerative bone tissue. Methods : Degenerative cancellous tissue was obtained from a sample of human degenerative spine. Thirteen human specimens were obtained from metastatic spine tumors, whose primary cancer was colon cancer (n=3), hepatocellular cancer (n=3), lung cancer (n=4), and breast cancer (n=3). The expression of vimentin and integrins ${\alpha}v$, ${\beta}1$, and ${\beta}3$ was assessed in metastatic and degenerative specimens by immunohistochemistry and real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). Results : Immunohistochemical staining showed that vimentin and integrin ${\alpha}v$ was broadly expressed in all tissues examined. By contrast, integrin ${\beta}1$ was weakly expressed only in 38.4% (5/13) of tissues. Integrin ${\beta}3$ was consistently negative in all cases examined. qRT-PCR analysis showed that vimentin gene expression was higher in all metastatic specimens, as compared to degenerative bone. The gene expression of integrin ${\alpha}v$ in breast specimen was significantly higher than others (p=0.045). The gene expression of integrin ${\beta}1$ was also higher in all metastatic specimens than in degenerative bone tissue. The gene expression of integrin ${\beta}3$ was variable. Conclusion : Spinal metastatic tumors have mesenchymal characteristics such as increased expression of vimentin. The increased expression of integrin ${\alpha}v$ and ${\beta}1$ in spine metastatic tumors suggests that adhesive molecules such as integrin may have implications for the prevention of spine metastasis.
In the present paper we define the codes which assign D-alphabet one-one codeword to each outcome of a random variable and the functions which represent possible transormations from one-one codes of size D to suitable codes. By using these functions we obtain lower bounds on the exponentiated mean codeword length for one-one codes in terms of the generalized entropy of order $\alpha$ and type $\beta$ and study the particular cases also.

Vanadate glasses using $B_2O_3$ as a network former and with CuO additive were mainly investigated in relation to electrical properties. Crystalline phases formed by heat-treatment in each composition were examined and dc electrical conductivity changes of the glasses were analyzed. Crystalline phases were identified as $V_3O_5,\;a-CuV_2O_6\;and\;{\beta}-CuV_2O_6$ by XRD analysis. Crystallization degrees of $V_2O_5$ and ${\beta}-CuV_2O_6$ were little changed with heat-treatment time, but those of ${\alpha}u-CuV_2O_6$ were changed sharply with heat-treatment time. The more crystallization of ${\alpha}u-CuV_2O_6$ occurred, the higher electrical conductivity was observed. Electrical conductivities with $10^{-2}~10^{-4}/{\Omega}/cm$ at room temperature(303K) could be obtained by controlling the glass compositions. The electrical conductivities were increased with increasing of $V_20_5$ content and decreasing of alkality($CuO/B_2O_3$). In this study, electron was proved to be charge carrier by seebeck coefficient measurement. Accordingly, the glasses are believed to be n-type semiconductor. Calculated activation energies for the conduction were in the range 0.098-0.124 eV. Electrical conduction mechanism was small polaron hopping without showing variable range hopping in the temperature range $30~200^{\circ}C$.
The enthalpies of transfer, $\Delta H_t^\theta$, of urea from water to aqueous ethanol, EtOH, propan-1-ol, PrOH, and acetonitrile, MeCN, are reported and analysed in terms of the new solvation theory. The analyses show that the solvation of urea is random in the considered solvent mixtures. It is also found that urea interact more strongly with EtOH or PrOH than water.
Adult respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is of particular interest because of its severity of the associated lung injury and its high mortality. However, the pathophysiologies of ARDS in infant and childhood groups are still not well clarified inspite of many previous investigations. To investigate the time course of pathophysiology of ARDS in infant and childhood groups, this study was designed with experimental endotoxin-induced ARDS model using young rabbits (8 week-old). Material and Method: Rabbits were divided into the control group (n=8) and the endotoxin-treated group (n=32). The endotoxin group was subdivided into 4 groups by the sampling times as 3, 6, 12 and 24 hr-groups (G- $E_{3,6,12,24,}$ each n=8). The experimental ARDS was made by a bolus injection of endotoxin (Escherichia coli serotype 055 : B5, 0.50 mg/kg) via rabbit ear vein. For evaluation of the hematologic and inflammatory markers, and superoxide dismutase (SOD) concentrations, the blood samples were taken from the heart. The bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) were obtained for analysis of the leukocytes and protein concentration. With biopsy of the lung, histopathologic changes of the lung were also evaluated. Result: In the endotoxin groups, significant leukopenia (owing to pancytopenia) occurred in 3 and 6-hr groups, which was followed by significant leukocytosis (owing to neutrophilia) in the 12 and 24-hr groups (p<0.05). Serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-$\alpha$ (TNF-$\alpha$) and interleukin-1 $\beta$ (IL-1 $\beta$) in the endotoxin groups were higher than those of control group (p<0.05). Serum levels of superoxide dismutase (SOD) of G- $E_{3}$ and G- $E_{6}$ were higher than those of control group, whereas those of G- $E_{12}$ were lower than those of control groups (p<0.05). Total leukocyte counts and protein con-centrations in BALF were significantly elevated in the endotoxin groups compared to the control group (p < 0.05). The hemorrhagic pattern of BALF showed occurred in the endotoxin groups. The endotoxin groups (in G- $E_{6}$) had severe infiltration of inflammatory cells (lymphocyte and monocyte) in the pulmonary interstitium and parenchyma, migrations of neutrophil and eosinophil into alveolar spaces and interstitial widening, which are the evidences of acute lung injury. In the endotoxin groups, there were significant positive correlations between the BALF findings and the immunologic markers (TNF-$\alpha$, IL-1$\beta$, SOD) (p<0.05). Conclusion: Severe acute lung injury occurred in all the endotoxin-treated rabbits. The pathophysiologic findings were so progressive until 6-hr by time dependant pattern, and then recovered slowly, Variable hematologic, immuno-logic, and pathologic factors were well correlated in the development and progression of endoxin-induced lung injury. The pathophysiologic responses were sensitive and rapid in young rabbit Young rabbit seemed to be a useful experimental animal model for infant and childhood groups.roups.
Essential oil yields and chemical compositions from 5 populations of Chamaecyparis obtusa with several environmental factors were investigated through essential oil extracted distillation apparatus and metabolite profiling by GC-MS analysis. Among the populations, content of essential oil at Gokseong was significantly higher than other populations. To compare the several environmental factors affecting on chemical composition and essential oil yields from C. obtuse at Gokseong, the environmental factors (soil condition, temperature, humidity, and moisture content) were measured during 1 year. The essential oils at Goksung based on humidity on March, July, and November was significantly different from other months. The essential oils at Goksung based on temperature on July and August was significantly different from other months. The essential oils at Goksung based on the moisture content on September were significantly different from other months. The percentage of T-N, OM, and yield of oil at Gokseong were significantly different on from other populations. The main constituents of C. obtusa at all populations were ${\alpha}$-pinene, ${\beta}$-pinene, ${\alpha}$-terpinene, ${\gamma}$-terpinene, terpinene-4-ol, isobonyl acetate, terpinyl acetate, and cedar acetate. Specially, Essential oil compositions (%) of ${\alpha}$-terpinene and cedar acetate were higher at Gokseong than at other populations. The chemical compositions of essential oils were variable depend on populations and environmental conditions. Therefore, this study might be used as fundamental research on study for selection of high productive terpenoids and for understanding about biosynthesis of essential oils in C. obtusa.

Mucolipidoses II and III alpha/beta (ML II and ML III) are lysosomal disorders in which the essential mannose-6-phosphate recognition marker is not synthesized onto lysosomal hydrolases and other glycoproteins. The disorders are caused by mutations in GNPTAB, which encodes two of three subunits of the heterohexameric enzyme, N-acetylglucosamine-1-phosphotransferase ML II, recognizable at birth, often causes intrauterine growth impairment and sometimes the prenatal "Pacman" dysplasia. The main postnatal manifestations of ML II include gradual coarsening of neonatally evident craniofacial features, early cessation of statural growth and neuromotor development, dysostosis multiplex and major morbidity by hardening of soft connective tissue about the joints and in the cardiac valves. Fatal outcome occurs often before or in early childhood. ML III with clinical onset rarely detectable before three years of age, progresses slowly with gradual coarsening of the facial features, growth deficiency, dysostosis multiplex, restriction of movement in all joints before or from adolescence, painful gait impairment by prominent hip disease. Cognitive handicap remains minor or absent even in the adult, often wheelchair-bound patient with variable though significantly reduced life expectancy. As yet, there is no cure for individuals affected by these diseases. So, clinical manifestations and conservative treatment is important. This review aimed to highlight the extra-skeletal clinical problems in ML II and III.

The p53 which is well known as tumor suppressor gene is located at 17p13. p53 is a sequence-specific DNA binding transcription factor that responds to certain cytotoxic stresses, such as DNA damage, by enhancing the transcription of genes that regulate cell-cycle progression as well as programmed cell death. The p63 gene that is located at 3q27-29, is recognized members of the p53 family, and responsible for the transcription of 6 isoforms. Three isoforms ($TAp63{\alpha}$, $TAp63{\beta}$, $TAp63{\gamma}$) contain an N-terminal transactivation (TA) domain and can induce apoptosis. The other 3 isoforms (${\Delta}Np63{\alpha}$, ${\Delta}Np63{\beta}$, ${\Delta}Np63{\gamma}$) lack the TA domain and may function in a dominant-negative fashion by inhibiting the transactivation functions of p53 and TAp63 proteins, and thus act as oncoproteins. A number of studies have investigated the role of p63 in human squamous cell carcinomas from different organs. Only a few studies have examined ${\Delta}Np63$ isoform in oral squamous cell carcinoma including normal epithelium. This study aimed to evaluate expression of ${\Delta}Np63$ isoform in human oral squamous cell carcinoma tissue and normal mucosa. The 3 cases of well differenciated oral squamous cell carcinoma specimen including adjacent normal mucosa were examined, and immunohistochemical study with monoclonal antibody(4A4) and tumor cell apoptosis analysis with Transmission Electon Microscopy were studied. And, RT-PCR analysis was done for expression of ${\Delta}Np63$ isoform. The results were as followed. 1. Normal gingiva showed the restricted p63 expression in basal cell layer. 2. Well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma showed mainly p63 expression in overall area of malignancy, especially in basal cell layer to adjacent stromal tissue. 3. Tumor cells around keratinized area with no p63 expression disclosed less micro-organelle in decreased size cytoplasm and severe chromatin margination with nuclear destruction that means apoptosis. 4. Comparison of mRNA expression of ${\Delta}Np63$ isoform by RT-PCR showed variable expression of ${\Delta}Np63$ isoform, but ${\Delta}Np63{\alpha}$ was most highly expressed in all 3 tumor specimen. From theses results, it should be suggested that ${\Delta}Np63$ isoform expression in well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma was closely related to tumor oncogenesis, expecially overexpression of ${\Delta}Np63{\alpha}$ is a most important factor in tumor genesis of oral squamous cell carcinoma.
