비타민 C 보충과 요가가 중년여성의 혈청 지질과산화물가 개선에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Vitamin C Supplementation and Yoga on the Improvement of Serum Lipid Peroxidation in Middle-aged Women)

  • 비타민 C 섭취 및 요가가 중년 여성의 총항산화능, 지질과 산화 및 혈중지질에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 B광역시 H구에 거주하는 중년여성을 대상으로 12주간 실험을 실시하였다. 요가 프로그램은 주 3회, 1일 60분, 운동 강도 RPE $13{\sim}15$로 실시하였다. 비타민 C는 1일 1 g을 섭취시켰다. 12주 후 총항산화능의 변화는 정상군 28.23%, 비타민 C군 30%, 요가군 26.58%, 비타민 C 섭취와 요가군은 43.66%가 증가하였으나 군간 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 지질과산화물가의 변화는 정상군 10%, 비타민 C군 -25%, 요가군은 -32.14%, 비타민 C 섭취와 요가군은 -33.87%로 정상군에 비해 프로그램군이 유의적으로 감소하였으나 프로그램군간의 유의적인 차이는 없었다. 혈중지질농도 변화는 모든군에서 유의적인 차이가 없어 요가 또는 비타민 C 섭취에 따른 지질개선효과를 관찰할 수 없었다. 이상의 결과를 통해 중년여성에게 비타민 C 섭취나 규칙적인 요가 프로그램은 지질과산화물가를 낮춤으로써 체내 산화적 스트레스를 개선하는 효과가 있는 것으로 생각된다.

심장질환 치료를 위한 체내삽입형 저전력 Pacemaker에 관한 연구 (Implantable low-power Pacemaker for Heart Disease Therapy)

  • 본 연구는 체내 이식형 Pacemaker를 연구하면서 심장 질환을 Therapy 해 주는 방법에 대해 저전력 및 성능향상에 중점을 두고 연구 및 실험을 하였다. 우선적으로 심장의 심박동을 연산량이 적은 Peak_detection에서 체크하여 전력소모를 줄이고 나오는 각 심실 및 심방의 Interval을 Disease_episode 에서 받는다. 여기서 5가지 심실 및 심방에 관한 질환들 (VF : Ventricular Fibrillation, VT : Ventricular Tachycardia, FVT : Fast Ventricular Tachycardia, FAT_AF : Fast Atrial Tachycardia/Atrial Fibrillation, AT_AF : Atrial Tachycardia AT_AF : Atrial Fibrillation)을 판별한 후 각 병증에 맞는 Therapy 값을 출력하게 하였다. 그 외에 남아있는 병증에 대해서도 Therapy가 저전력 및 성능향상 되도록 설계하였다. 기존에 적용되어 있는 Detection 기법에서는 각각의 병증에 대해서 각 Detection이 있어 VF와 VT 사이에 있는 FVT와 같은 병증을 치료할 때 FVT 같은 경우에는 VF와 VT사이에 있는 질병이기 때문에 FVT_VF 및 FVT_VT와 같이 각각의 Detection을 두어 전력 소모가 있었다. 심장에서는 여러 질병이 한번에 나을 수 없다는 것에 착안하여 (심박동 Interval에 의해 질병이 판단되므로) 다른 병증이지만 같은 진단 기준을 쓰는 Detection을 통합함으로써 하나의 모듈로 구성하여 Gate수를 줄이고 저전력을 구현하였다. 또한 병증을 판별하는 진단 기준 모듈 중 Onset_Criterion 재설계하여 좀더 성능 향상에 중점을 두었다.

흰쥐 간 지질함량, 과산화지질 및 단백질양상에 미치는 제초제 Gramoxone 독성에 대한 비타민 C의 완화효과 (Alleviating Effects of Vitamin C on the Gramoxone Toxicity in the Total Lipid Contents, Lipid Peroxidation and Protein Patterns of Rat Liver)

  • This study was made to determine alleviating effects of vitamin C(Vt C) on the gramoxone toxicity in rats with respect to the growth gain, feed effeciency ratio, total lipid contents, lipid peroxication and protein patterns in rat liver. Growth gain, feed efficiency ratio and liver weight in the gramoxone group were decreased significantly as compared with the control group, while those values obtained in the gramoxone-Vt C group were increased as compared with the gramoxone group. Lipid contents and TBA value of rat liver of the gramoxone group were increased significantly as compared with the control group. However, those values of the gramoxone+Vt C group were decreased as compared with the gramoxone group. No significant differences were observed in the liver protein patterns between the gramoxone and the control group. The contents of liver protein were decreased significantly in the gramoxone group fed for 2 weeks as compared with the control group. The change of the liver protein patterns, such as the decrease of high molecular weight protein and the increase of low molecular weight protein were observed in the gramoxone+Vt C group.

Visual Tactile Attributes in Online Product Presentations for Improving Purchase Intention

  • Online shopping is increasing worldwide. Providing customers actual feeling of the product is essential in online shopping. Various technological aids can be used to support visual feeling. When delivering visual tangibility, it is important to study which attributes are significant in product presentations that best portray the actual tactileness. In this perspective, we suggest 'visual tactility' (VT) as a parameter for delivering tangibility in visual presentation. By measuring visual tactility in different product types, latent factors of visual tactility were identified and their influence on purchase intention was determined in this study. We defined material properties of touch such as surface texture, hardness, temperature, and weight as Visual Tactility (VT), the influential factor of tactility. We investigated the influence of VT on product purchase intention and analyzed tactileness within four online product presentations: single static picture, multi static pictures, zoom, and video. Our purpose was to investigate underlying effects of visual tactile attributes on touch and determine their influences according to online product presentation formats. Our results showed that visual tactility positively affected purchase intention and that each attribute differed in importance according to product type. Moreover, this study revealed a strong relation between online product presentation and VT attributes. These results provide a guide when selecting which presentation is optimal for delivering a product's tactility in online shopping situation.

심실빈맥/심실세동 분류를 위한 NEWFM 기반의 퍼지규칙 추출 (Extracting Fuzzy Rules for Classifying Ventricular Tachycardia/Ventricular Fibrillation Based on NEWFM)

  • 본 논문은 가중 퍼지소속함수 기반 신경망(Neural Network with Weighted Fuzzy Membership Functions, NEWFM)을 이용하여 Creighton University Ventricular Tachyarrhythmia DataBase(CUDB)의 심전도(ECG) 신호로부터 정상리듬(Normal Sinus Rhythm, NSR)과 심실빈맥/심실세동(Ventricular Tachycardia/Ventricular Fibrillation, VT/VF)을 분류하는 방안을 제시하고 있다. NEWFM에서 사용할 특징입력을 추출하기 위해서 첫 번째 단계에서는 웨이블릿 변환(wavelet transform, WT)을 이용하였다. 두 번째 단계에서는 첫 번째 단계에서 생성된 웨이블릿 계수들을 위상공간 재구성(Phase Space Reconstruction, PSR)과 첨단(Peak) 추출 기법의 입력 값으로 이용하여 2개의 특징입력을 추출하였다. NEWFM은 이들 2개의 특징입력을 이용하여 정상리듬과 심실빈맥/심실세동을 분류하였고 그 결과로 90.13%의 분류성능을 나타내었다.

Effects of Voluntary Tutoring and Mandatory Tutoring on Academic Performance

  • Purpose: Providing tutoring services may be one of the most effective practices for improving academic performance and student retention. However, there is little information on the difference between mandatory tutoring (MT) and voluntary tutoring (VT) on the impact of student academic performance. This investigation compared the effectiveness of VT and MT services in the three upper level undergraduate classes. Research design, data, and methodology: Baseline data were collected in a spring semester where no tutoring of any kind was offered (control group (CG), n=78). The MT (n=104) was required in the following fall semester, and in the next spring semester only VT (n=97) was offered. Descriptive statistics and One-way ANOVA using IBM SPSS v23 (Chicago, IL) were used to analyze the final grades of the courses to identify differences in final grades between semesters. Results: Although final grades averaged from three classes were highest in the MT group, there were no statistical differences between the MT and VT groups, F(2, 292) = 1.150, p =.318. Conclusion: This study indicates there was no significant difference in academic performance between the two tutoring types, but that both tutoring services can be effective.

철심의 히스테리시스 특성을 고려한 CCVT 2차 전압 보상방법 (Compensating algorithm of the secondary voltage for CCVT considering the hysteresis of a iron core)

  • In the extra and ultra high voltage system, the coupling capacitor voltage transformer (CCVT) measures the primary voltage with a small scale of voltage transformer (VT). However, the CCVT generates errors caused by the hysteresis characteristics of iron core and by the ferroresonance, inevitably. This paper proposes a compensation algorithm for the secondary voltage of a CCVT considering the hysteresis characteristics of an iron core. The proposed algorithm calculates the seconda교 current of a VT by summing the current flowing the ferroresonance circuit and the burden current; it estimates the secondary voltage of a VT; then the core flux is calculated by integrating of the secondary voltage of a VT, then estimates the exciting current using ${\lambda}-i$ characteristic of the core. The method calculates a primary voltage of a VT considering the estimated primary current. Finally, the correct voltage is estimated by compensating the voltage across the inductor and capacitor. The performance of the proposed algorithm was tested in a 345kV transmission system. The test results show that the proposed method can improve the accuracy of the seconda교 voltage of a CCVT.

  • 스마트폰의 확산으로 인한 웹 접근성의 발달은 소셜 네트워크를 기반으로 하는 플랫폼 서비스 이용자의 급격한 증가를 이끌어냈다. 그중에서도 개방적인 네트워크를 기반으로 빠른 확산과 강력한 영향력을 보이는 트위터(Twitter)는 하루 평균 5억 건이 넘는 트윗(Tweet)이 생산되는 대표적인 서비스이다. 따라서 트위터를 이용하여 이벤트를 탐지하려는 다양한 연구들이 진행되고 있다. 그러나 기존의 연구들은 이벤트 탐지를 위해 트윗을 구성하는 다양한 조건에 대한 고려 없이 일반 문서와 동일하게 일반적인 TFIDF 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 또한 TF와 DF에 대한 언급이 생략된 채, 사전에 지정한 키워드와 관련된 이벤트를 대상으로 탐지하였다. 이에 본 논문에서는 트위터의 특징을 반영한 TFIDF 변형 알고리즘인 RTFIDF VT를 제안하고, 실험을 통해 이벤트 탐지에 최적인 것으로 검증된 TF와 DF 구간을 밝힌다. 최종 검증된 TF와 DF의 구간과 RTFIDF VT를 적용하여 특정시점을 입력받아 이벤트로 예상되는 지역명들과 이벤트 관련 키워드의 결과 집합을 추출하는 시스템을 제안한다.

Comparison of Balance and Fall Efficacy of Virtual Reality Program in Elderly Women with Fall Experience

  • Purpose: The objective of this study was a virtual reality-based balance training program effective for improvement in physical function, examined the balance ability and fall efficacy of elderly women with experienced falls, intending to examine the program's usefulness as an exercise program to prevent the recurrence of a fall. Methods: The participants were 30 elderly women aged 65 or older who met the conditions. The participants were randomly assigned to either a balance training group (BT) or a virtual reality-based balance training group (VT) and received the training three times per week, 30 minutes per day, for six weeks. To measure static balance, the Tetrax Portable Multiple System (Tetrax Ltd, Israel) were used. To measure dynamic balance, the Berg Balance Scale (BBS) and functional reach test (FRT) was used, and regarding fall efficacy, the Korean Fall Efficacy Scale (K-FES) was used. Results: Tetrax significantly improved after the intervention in both the BT group and the VT group (p<0.05). The comparison between the two groups was not significantly. BBS and FRT result significantly improved after the intervention in both the BT and VT groups (p<0.001), while K-FES was significantly ameliorated in the VT group only (p<.05). Comparing the groups, there were more significant changes in the BBS (p<0.05) and FRT (p<0.01) result of the VT group than the BT group. Conclusion: A virtual reality-based balance training program is considered to be usable as an exercise program to prevent recurrence of falls in elderly women.

Analysis of the Influence of the Address Electrode Width on High-speed Addressing Using the Vt Close Curve and Dynamic Vdata Margin

  • In order to drive the high-density plasma displays, a high-speed driving technology must be researched. In this experiment, the relationship between the width of the address electrode and high-speed driving is analyzed using the Vt close curve and the panel structure for high-speed driving is proposed. In addition we show that the wider the width of the address electrode is, the narrower the width of the scan pulse becomes. Therefore, we could achieve the minimum data voltage of 50.1V at a scan pulse width of $1.0/{\mu}s$ and a ramp voltage of 210V at an address electrode width of $180/{\mu}m$ for the high-speed driving 4-inch test PDP.
