$V_{2}O_{5}/TiO_{2}$ catalysts promoted with Mn were prepared and tested for selective catalytic reduction of NOx in $NH_3.$ The effects of promoter content, degree of catalyst loading were investigated for NOx activity while changing temperatures, mole ratio, space velocity and $O_2$ concentration. Among the various $V-{2}O_{5}$ catalysts having different metal loadings, $V-{2}O_{5}$(1 wt.%) catalyst showed the highest activity(98%) under wide temperature range of $200-250^{\circ}C.$ When the $V-{2}O_{5}$ catalyst was further modified with 5 wt.% Mn as a promoter, the highest activity(90-47%) was obtained over the low temperature windows of $100-200^{\circ}C.$ From Mn-$V_{2}O_{5}/TiO_{2}$, it was found that by addition of 5 wt.% Mn on $V_{2}O_{5}/TiO_{2}$ catalyst, reduction activity of catalyst was improved, which resulted in the increase of catalytic activity and NOx reduction. According to the results, NOx removal decreased for 10%, but the reaction temperature down to $100^{\circ}C.$
Vanadium Pentoxide (V2O5) has been emerged as alternative electrode materials for supercapacitors due to their low cost, natural abundance, and environmental friendliness. Graphene (GR) loaded with V2O5 can exhibit enhanced specific capacitance. In this study, we present three-dimensional (3D) crumpled graphene (CGR) decorated with V2O5. The V2O5-graphene composites were synthesized from a colloidal mixture of graphene oxide (GO) and Ammonium metavanadate (NH4VO3), via aerosol spray drying and post heat treatment process. The average size of composite was ranged from 1.82 to 4.6 ㎛. Morphology of the composite changed from a crumpled paper ball to spherical ball having relatively smooth surface as the content of V2O5 increased in the composites. The electrochemical performance of the V2O5-graphene composites was examined. The V2O5-graphene composite electrode showed the specific capacitance of 312 F/g. In addition, the device possessed acceptable cyclic stability, with 84% after 2000 cycles at 2 A/g. These outstanding properties are expected to make the composites prepared in this study as promising electrode materials for supercapacitor applications.
Vanadium oxide catalyst supported on TiO2-ZrO2 has been prepared by adding Ti(OH)4-Zr(OH)4 powder to an aqueous solution of ammonium metavanadate followed by drying and calcining at high temperatures. The char-acterization ofthe prepared catalysts was performed using solid-state 51V NMR and FTIR.In thecase ofcalci-nation temperature at 773 K, vanadium oxide was in a highly dispersed state for the samples containing low loading V2O5 below 25 wt %, but for samplescontaining high loading V2O5 equal to or above 25 wt %, vana-dium oxidewas well crystallized due to the V2O5 loading exceeding the formation of monolayer on the surface of TiO2-ZrO2.The ZrV2O7 compound was formed through the reactionof V2O5 and ZrO2 at 773-973 K, where-as the V3Ti6O17 compound was formedthrough the reaction of V2O5 and TiO2 at 973-1073 K. The V3Ti6O17 compound decomposed to V2O5 and TiO2 at 1173 K, which were confirmed by FTIR and 51V NMR.

Vanadate glasses in the Li$_2$O-P$_2$O$_{5}$-V$_2$O$_{5}$ system containing 10~20mo1% glass former, P$_2$O$_{5}$ were prepared by melting the batch in pt. crucible followed by quenching on the copper plate. We found that Li$_2$O-P$_2$O$_{5}$-V$_2$O$_{5}$ g1ass-ceramics obtained from crystallization of glass showed significantly higher capacity and longer cycle life than Li$_2$O-P$_2$O$_{5}$-V$_2$O$_{5}$ g1ass. In the present paper, we describe electro-chemical properties during crystallization process and find the best crystallization condition of Li$_2$O-P$_2$O$_{5}$-V$_2$O$_{5}$ g1ass as cathod material. Li$_2$O-P$_2$O$_{5}$-V$_2$O$_{5}$ glass-ceramics shows superior rechargeable capacity of 220 mAh/g in the cycling between 2.0 and 3.9V. between 2.0 and 3.9V.
Thin films of $V_2O_3$, $VO_2$, and $V_2O_5$ were obtained from a single precursor solution through post-annealing processes under different annealing conditions. As annealed in air, the deposited films became $V_2O_5$ with orthorhombic crystal structure, while they were $V_2O_3$ and $VO_2$ with rhombohedral and monoclinic crystal structure as annealed in vacuums with base pressure of $1{\times}10^{-6}$ Torr and with 10 mTorr $O_2$ pressure, respectively. Electrical and optical measurements indicated that the $V_2O_5$ and $VO_2$ films are semiconducting, while the $V_2O_3$ films are metallic at room temperature. Chromium doping in $VO_2$ resulted in a decrease of the resistivity and changed the conduction type from n-type to p-type. 10% Cr-doped $VO_2$ films were found to have orthorhombic crystal structure, which is different from that of the undoped $VO_2$. Spectral features in the optical absorption spectra of all the films were interpreted as the transitions involving O 2p and V 3d bands. The crystal-field splittings between $t_{2g}$ and $e_g$ states of the V 3d bands are estimated to be about 1.5 and 1.0 eV for $V_2O_5$ and $VO_2$, respectively.
Vanadium oxides supported on zirconia and modified with MoO₃were prepared by adding Zr(OH)₄powder into a mixed aqueous solution of ammonium metavanadate and ammonium molybdate followed by drying and calcining at high temperatures. The characterization of prepared catalysts was performed using FTIR, Raman spectroscopy and solid-state $^{51}V$ NMR. In the case of a calcination temperature of 773 K, for samples containing low loading of $V_2O_5$, below 15 wt %, vanadium oxide was in a highly dispersed state, while for samples containing high loading of $V_2O_5$, equal to or above 15 wt %, vanadium oxide was well crystallized because the $V_2O_5$ loading exceeded the formation of a monolayer on the surface of $ZrO_2$. The $ZrV_2O_7$ compound was formed through the reaction of $V_2O_5\;and\;ZrO_2$ at 873 K and the compound decomposed into $V_2O_5\;and\;ZrO_2$ at 1073 K, which were confirmed by FTIR spectroscopy and solid-state $^{51}V$ NMR. IR spectroscopic studies of ammonia adsorbed on $V_2O_5-MoO_3/ZrO_2$ showed the presence of both Lewis and Bronsted acids.
Alternating copolymers, poly[9-(2-octyl-dodecyl)-9H-carbazole-alt-4,7-di-thiophen-2-yl-benzo[1,2,5]thiadiazole] (PCD20TBT) and poly[9,10-bis-(2-octyl-dodecyloxy)-phenanthrene-alt-4,7-di-thiophen-2-yl-benzo[1,2,5]thiadiazole] (PN40TBT), were synthesized by the Suzuki coupling reaction. The copolymers were soluble in common organic solvents such as chloroform, chlorobenzene, 1,2-dichlorobenzene, tetrahydrofuran and toluene. The maximum absorption wavelength and the band gap of PCD20TBT were 535 nm and 1.75 eV, respectively. The maximum absorption wavelength and the band gap of PN40TBT were 560 nm and 1.97 eV, respectively. The HOMO and the LUMO energy level of PCD20TBT were -5.11 eV and -3.36 eV, respectively. As for PN40TBT, the HOMO and the LUMO energy level of PCD20TBT were -5.31 eV and -3.34 eV, respectively. The polymer solar cells (PSCs) based on the blend of copolymer and PCBM (1 : 2 by weight ratio) were fabricated. The power conversion efficiencies of PSCs based on PCD20TBT and PN40TBT were 0.52% and 0.60%, respectively. The short circuit current density ($J_{SC}$), fill factor (FF) and open circuit voltage ($V_{OC}$) of the device with PCD20TBT were $-1.97mA/cm^2$, 38.2% and 0.69 V. For PN40TBT, the $J_{SC}$, FF, and $V_{OC}$ were $-1.77mA/cm^2$, 42.9%, and 0.79 V, respectively.
Mechanical properties of the system PbO-B2O3-V2O5 low melting glass during crystallization by heat-treatment were investigated. Wettability of the system PbO-B2O3-V2O5 was excellent and appropriate for commercial sealing as a low melting solder glass. Crystals, during heat-treated at 30$0^{\circ}C$ of the system PbO-B2O3-V2O5 were $\beta$-4PbO.B2O3, 5PbO.4B2O3, and Pb2V2O7 mainly. The percent of crystallinity was 82$\pm$5%. Mechanical properties of the system PbO-B2O3-V2O5 were influenced not only by the differences of density and coefficient of thermal expansion and the stress induced from the difference in the density and coefficient of thermal expansion between glass phase and crystals but also crystallization conditions.

Instead of a solution technigue producing amorphous LiV$_3$O$_{8}$ form, we prepared Lithium vanadate glass by melting Li$_2$O-P$_2$O$_{5}$-V$_2$O$_{5}$, composition in pt. crucible and by quenching on the copper plate. From the crystallization of Li$_2$O-P$_2$O$_{5}$-V$_2$O$_{5}$, we could abtain crystal phase, LiV$_3$O$_{8}$. The material heat-treated at lower-temperature, 25$0^{\circ}C$ was less crystalline, but had higher capacity. In present paper, we describe eletrochemical properties during crystallization process and find the best crystallization condition of Li$_2$O-P$_2$O$_{5}$-V$_2$O$_{5}$ glass as cathod material.cathod material.

We have investigated the characterization of $V_2O_{5}$ thin films as a counter electrode for lithium based complementary electrochromic devices. The amorphous $V_2O_{5}$ thin films produces comparatively small changes in transmittance in the visible and near infrared compared to the crystalline $V_2O_{5}$ thin films, while the degradation occurs in a-$V_2O_{5}$ thin films with increasing the cycle life time. As the thickness of $V_2O_{5}$ thin films increases from 100 to 600 nm, the magnitude of transmittance modulation decreases. The crystalline $V_2O_{5}$ thin films with thickness around 1000 have electrochromic properties suitable for counter electrode application in lithium based electrochromic smart windows.
