  • Nowadays as the use of mobile communication devices such as smart phones and tablets and the use of Computer is expanded, data is being collected exponentially on the Internet. In addition, due to the development of SNS, users can freely communicate with each other and share information in various fields, so various opinions are accumulated in the from of big data. Accordingly, big data analysis techniques are being used to find out the difference between the response of the general public and the response of the media. In this paper, we analyzed the public response in SNS about child allowance and childbirth grant and analyzed the response of the media. Therefore we gathered articles and comments of users which were posted on Twitter for a certain period of time and crawling the news articles and applied sentiment analysis. From these data, we compared the opinion of the public posted on SNS with the response of the media expressed in news articles. As a result, we found that there is a different response to some national policy between the public and the media.

  • Today, the advance of a community tool such as a SNS enables users to easily share information each other and quickly deliver various opinions to suppliers. The suppliers are trying to create new value through co-creation strategies in order to satisfy rapidly and variously changing user's needs. User-participation-based idea platforms are emerging as a open innovation space that can provide user participation and interaction between suppliers and users. However, although each idea platform has specific advantages in each stage of a development process, this development process is not generalized as one complete, integrated development process. Thus, the development of an effectively integrated process, which includes advantages in each stage of the process, is needed. This research aims to analysis the characteristics of idea platforms based on the classification of idea platforms as a basic study for proposing a new development processes of them. This research will contribute to the guideline for developing a new user-participation-based idea platform.

  • Following the recent advancement in the use of social networks, a vast amount of different online reviews is created. These variable online reviews which provide feedback data of contents' are being used as sources of valuable information to both contents' users and providers. With the increasing importance of online reviews, studies on opinion mining which analyzes online reviews to extract opinions or evaluations, attitudes and emotions of the writer have been on the increase. However, previous sentiment analysis techniques of opinion-mining focus only on the classification of reviews into positive or negative classes but does not include detailed information analysis of the user's satisfaction or sentiment grounds. Also, previous designs of the sentiment analysis technique only applied to one content domain that is, either product or movie, and could not be applied to other contents from a different domain. This paper suggests a sentiment analysis technique that can analyze detailed satisfaction of online reviews and extract detailed information of the satisfaction level. The proposed technique can analyze not only one domain of contents but also a variety of contents that are not from the same domain. In addition, we design a system based on Hadoop to process vast amounts of data quickly and efficiently. Through our proposed system, both users and contents' providers will be able to receive feedback information more clearly and in detail. Consequently, potential users who will use the content can make effective decisions and contents' providers can quickly apply the users' responses when developing marketing strategy as opposed to the old methods of using surveys. Moreover, the system is expected to be used practically in various fields that require user comments.

  • Purpose: Of late, the focus of service design is moving toward emphasizing customer satisfaction and taking users' experience more seriously. In addition to the change in perspective in service design, scholars in this area are paying more attention to service design methodology and process, as well as its theory and real-world case studies. In the case of medical space, there have been few studies in attempting to apply service design methods useful for deriving user-focused results. The author of this paper believes, however, case study-oriented approaches are more needed in this area rather than ones focusing on theoretical aspects. The author hopes thereby to expand the horizon to practical application of spatial design beyond service design methodology. Methods: In order to incorporate the strengths of service design methodology that can reflect a variety of user opinions, this study will introduce diverse tools in the framework of double diamond process. In addition, it will present field cases that successfully brought about best results in medical space design. It will end with summarizing the ideal process of medical space design which is reasonable and comprehensive. Results: Medical service encompasses preventive medicine as well as treatment of existing medical conditions. A study in establishing the platform of medical service design consists of a wide range of trend research, followed by the summary of two-matrix design classification based on results of the trend research. The draft of design process is divided into five stages composed of basic tools for establishing spatial flow lines created by matching service design tools with each stage of space design processes. In all this, most important elements to consider are communication and empathy. When service design is actually applied to space design, one can see that output has reflected the users' needs very well. The service design process for user-oriented medical space can thus be established by interactions on the final outcome and feedback on the results. Implications: One can see that the service design with the hospital at its center produces the result that encompasses the user's needs best. If the user-focused service design process for medical space can be extended to other space designs, the author believes that it would enhance the level of satisfaction for users and minimize trials and errors.

  • In Korea, utilizing and protecting the ocean from the sea on three sides can be considered the basis of national power. Recently, it has been distributed to IOT and 5G networks, and attempts to provide various information based on telecommunication infrastructure are continuing in the public and private sectors. In this study, an online survey was conducted with the aim of improving the services of marine information services (KOMC, safe and open seas) provided by the Government Agency for Oceanographic Research. Through an online survey, the survey was conducted on sites that are mainly used to survey people's need for marine information and to collect information. In addition, the survey was conducted on the UX, UI problems and improvements of KOMC, open and safe sea sites provided by the National Oceanographic Research Institute. The awareness and experience of marine information service by the Korea Oceanographic Research Institute were confirmed. Later, the previous steps of FGI also examined the usability of various users after allowing them to use the actual service. Here, the experience of collecting marine information from actual users was investigated, not just by looking at and evaluating the design of the service website and application. As a result, users presented a variety of opinions related to marine information services, including accessibility, reliability of information, providing media, and importance of information provided. The findings could be used as data to identify ocean-related data and ways to provide information required by users of various age groups and occupational groups.

  • Purpose - This study examines the influencing factors of China's cross-border e-commerce exports in the context of the current situation and trends of China's cross-border e-commerce development. Through an improved trade gravity model, it provides more in-depth research and constructive opinions on the development of cross-border e-commerce in China. In this paper, factors such as consumption gap, volume of trade frictions, number of tourists, Internet usage and trade openness are added to the formula of the traditional trade gravity model in the improved trade gravity model to examine the influencing factors on China's cross-border e-commerce exports. Design/methodology - According to the empirical analysis, China's cross-border e-commerce exports to ten countries are used as dependent variables, and consumption gap, trade friction volume, trade distance, trade openness and number of Internet users are taken as independent variables. Regression analysis is conducted through a modified gravity model to test whether the hypotheses hold. Findings - The analysis shows that the hypothesis that China's cross-border e-commerce exports are influenced by trade openness, trade distance, consumption gap between trade parties, and the number of Internet users in the importing country is supported by these four hypotheses, but not all independent variables have an impact on them. Specifically, the number of travelers, trade frictions do not have an impact on China's cross-border e-commerce. That is to say, trade friction between China and the United States and political issues such as China-India and China-Japan territorial disputes that emerged before do not affect the development of cross-border e-commerce in China. Originality/value - The analysis shows that the factors influencing China's cross-border e-commerce exports are the trade openness of the importing country, the trade distance, the number of Internet users in the importing country, and the consumption gap between the two sides of the trade. The trade openness and the number of Internet users positively contribute to China's cross-border e-commerce, while the consumption gap and trade distance are negatively related to them. And the analysis found that the Sino-US trade war and the Sino-Indian territorial disputes and other trade frictions to China's cross-border e-commerce exports did not have a substantial impact.

  • Recently, the public design plays a role in improving the residents' quality of life and activating the local economy as an axis of the regional development. However, during the development process led by the local government, the public space has been changed to a place where only the function is emphasized without considering the local history, culture, and life. Since the opinions of the regional residents are not reflected, the public place lacks public benefits and has difficulties in continuous improvement and development. Here, we studied on the participation of residents in public design. Firstly, we discussed public design that residents can participate voluntarily and actively as users, managers, and beneficiaries. Secondly, it is necessary for the residents, who are not experts in the public design, to have easily understandable and well tractable communication media which facilitate communications with a group of the design experts and the public service personnel. We explained the types and specialities of the communication media. Thirdly, it is necessary for the residents to contribute much to the local development by active participation in the sustainable and consistent public design through using the easily accessible communication media.
