Effects of Camping Recreation on Natural Environment in Mt. Chiak National Park (치악산도립공원에서의 양영행위가 자연환경에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was executed to measure the user\`s impact natural environment in National Park Campsite. Therefore, we choose Mt. Chiak National Park and the campsite in the district of Temple Ku-Ryong as a model of analysis, which is made by ecological approach, the number of the user has influence on the environment near the campsite. The result are as follows : 1. The more the number of users becomes, the more Na, Ca, Mg ion concentration and pH in the soil increase and the less K ion becomes. 2. Litter and humus depth, litter coverage, herb coverage, soil hardness, the surface of the ground layer and tree species numbers, density and coverage of lower layer shows a sensitive reaction to the number of the users. 3. The research shows that the tolerant trees against campsite impact are Lespedeza maximowiczii, Zanthoxylum schinifolium Staphylea bumalda, Smilax sieboldii, Quercus aliena, Euonymus oxyphyllus, Weigela subsessilis and Securinega suffruticosa, and the sensitive trees are Stephanandra incisa, Rubus trichocarpa, Rubus crataegifolius, Rhododendron mucronulatum, Styrax obassia, Acer palmatum, Lindera obtusiloba, Rhododendron suhlippenbachii, Rhus japonica and Callicarpa japonica. 4. The high density of the users made the simplication of a vegetation structure. So, as the number of the user increase the species showed severe heterogeniety between the heavy-use and nonuse site. 5. As considering the landscape management about campsite and surrounding area on the way of analysis of national landscape aspect and succession sere according to ecological aspect, it may be desirable that Pinus densiflora forest be conserved as Pinus densiflora landscape and mixed forest produce natural scenery with succession sere.

  • Active catalog is a kind of digital content that enables consumers to test the functions and features of products from their PCs as if they were using it in real life, by simulating the actions and responses of the product. This new type of interactive digital content can be used extensively to make sales personnel training manuals, sales tools, user manuals and user trouble shooting documents. With active catalogs, companies will be able to compare different designs, show actions according to different functions, and evaluate user reaction to new products without having to produce a single physical prototype or mock-up. At the same time, consumers will be able to understand and 'operate' the product and make well-informed purchase decisions. In this paper, we present a visual event-driven modeling tool, PlayMo, for creating active catalogs, analyze the advantages of using PlayMo, describe the event-driven method used by PlayMo and also introduce two enhanced characteristics of the Event Flow Chart with which the events in PlayMo are structured. Interactive digital content by using the PlayMo3D makes easy, simple and effective design for e-learning, e-catalogue, e-marketing/sales, e-prototyping, customer support, etc. Through its application-ready 3D function visualization solution, engineers and designers can rapidly turn a CAD design model into a 3D interactive virtual product, and the effective function prototyping job can be also completed within a minute.

  • The emotional interface is essential technology for the robot to provide the proper service to the user. In this research, we developed emotional components for the service robot such as a neural network based facial expression recognizer, emotion expression technologies based on 3D graphical face expression and joints movements, considering a user's reaction, behavior selection technology for emotion expression. We used our humanoid robots, AMI and AMIET as the test-beds of our emotional interface. We researched on the emotional interaction between a service robot and a user by integrating the developed technologies. Emotional interface technology for the service robot, enhance the performance of friendly interaction to the service robot, to increase the diversity of the service and the value-added of the robot for human. and it elevates the market growth and also contribute to the popularization of the robot.   • The purpose of this study is to clarify the case and process of the application of the sign system in order to enable the user to reach the target site more efficiently in the library. For this purpose, a new sign system was applied to the S University library through procedures such as library structure, sign status, user observation, cyan production and preference survey. Detailed production process and user's reaction were identified. Based on this we suggested improvements to the library stacks signage system.

  • With a general trend toward larger and more complex systems with centralized control, an operator's role of supervisory decision making in the control room becomes more important. Identification of potential man-machine interface (MMI) problems with CRT-based process control systems was attempted using a structured questionnaire survey. Based on the survey results, a laboratory experiment was carried out to investigate the performance of alarm detection on a process control CRT display. The user performance was measured in terms of reaction time from the onset of an alarm sound until the completion of predefined response procedures. The results revealed that for a highly complex tasks, mean reaction time ($\bar{RT}$) with a color consistent display was 10.5% faster than that with the original display, and $\bar{RT}$ with a grouped display was reduced by 8.2% in comparison with the color consistent display.

  • In this paper, various operating parameters of stream reforming process from methane in stream reformer and preconverter for MCFC is studied by numerical method. Commercial code is used to simulated the porous catalyst with user subroutine to model three dominant chemical reactions which are Stream Reforming(SR), Water-Gas Shift(WGS), and Direct Stram Reforming(DSR). The hydrogen production is tested with different wall temperature and different reactor shapes. The calculated results of the concentration of hydrogen in stream reformer are very well consistent with experimental results. This numerical study gives the design reactor wall temperature condition and size of reactor to satisfy the required fuel conversion.

  • In this thesis, we presents the component design and retrieval prototype system which can retrieve the most appropriate component for reuse system. If it used only an abject to reuse unit, it can not understand mutual reaction and can not sustain relationship between objects. Therefore, we porposed clustering component for reuse unit. It makes to understand relationship and reaction between object, so User can retrieve the proper component for reuse system. And porposed retrieval prototype system can select the correct things. it provide 3 facet retrieval environment against ambiguous retrieval definition.

  • 본 논문은 쓰레기 편지를 여과하기 위해 대상 편지에 따른 사용자들의 행동(reaction)을 묵시적(implicitly)으로 수집한 후 이를 점진적(incrementally) 기계학습기의 자질(feature)로 사용하여 편지 여과 작업의 증거가 되는 단어들을 지속적으로 학습하면서 최적의 편지 여과 결과를 제공하는 기법과 시스템 구조를 제안한다. 사용자 개인의 컴퓨터에 행동 정보와 학습 데이터를 저장하도록 설계하여 묵시적 정보 수집에서 자주 제기되는 개인 프라이버시 문제를 해결하였으며, 점진적 기계학습 기법을 사용하여 개인 정보를 포함하는 대량의 편지 학습 데이터를 모으기 힘들다는 문제를 해결하였다. 또 향후 제안하는 시스템을 이용하여 여러 종류의 기계학습 기법 중 쓰레기 편지 여과 작업을 가장 효과적으로 수행할 수 있는 기법을 선택하는 작업을 수행할 계획이다.

A Design of an Expert System for the Treatment and the Routing of Contaminated Groundwater (오염된 지하수 처리와 추적을 위한 엑스퍼트 시스템의 개발)

  • The domain of contaminated groundwater flow is a broad and multidisciplinary field requiring expertise in engineering, geology, chmistry and toxicology, and is an ideal area for the application of Expert System. The Expert System which is developed in this research can assist user to find possible remedial actions in case that the groundwater was contaminated with toxic pollutants. Documentation including the degree of toxicity, the possibility of chemical reaction and concentration of pollutant can be supported also. Prolog, and artificial intelegence programming language, is used to implement the prototype expert system. This expert system can explicitly advise users about contaminants' toxicity, possiblity reaction with other chemicals and their concentrations.

  • Voice User Interface (VUI) is the most familiar and comfortable interface to human. Recently, with the development of cloud and AI technologies VUI has been applied to various products. The aim of this study was to identify the problems of the current VUI and to find the direction of future study by investigating the utilization status and user perception of the VUI of smartphones. A survey was conducted with 163 college students using Google Forms. The results showed that the level of recognition of VUI is high but the rate of usage is very low, and many users feel uncomfortable about the voice recognition rate, reaction speed and operation method. Most of the survey participants tried VUI out of curiosity, but only a small portion of them found it useful to continue to use it. Many participants disliked talking to machines and also did not want others to listen. The study results will guide future research efforts for improving the utilization of VUI.
