Massive multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) is a common type of game these days. Predicting user churn in MMORPG is a crucial task. The retention rate of users is deeply associated with the lifespan and revenue of the service. If the churn of a specific user can be predicted in advance, targeted promotions can be used to encourage their stay. Therefore, not only the accuracy of churn prediction but also the speed at which signs of churn can be detected is important. In this paper, we propose methods to identify early signs of churn by utilizing the daily predicted user retention probabilities. We train various deep learning and machine learning models using log data and estimate user retention probabilities. By analyzing the change patterns in these probabilities, we provide empirical rules for early identification of users at high risk of churn. Performance evaluations confirm that our methodology is more effective at detecting high risk users than existing methods based on login days. Finally, we suggest novel methods for customized marketing strategies. For this purpose, we provide guidelines of the percentage of accessed users who are at risk of churn.

Recently, the volume of knowledge information in the form of electronic media is quickly increasing in the library field along with the advancement of electronic communication technology. Libraries have both printed data and electronic data and are faced with the issue of corresponding with the access and use of knowledge information in terms of the space. This study is for building the layout of a sustainable knowledge information space based on the view that the library is the official infrastructure of the knowledge information based society. It is intended to analyze the meaning of knowledge information in the modern society, characteristics in the spatial organization and the transmission of knowledge information. The goal of this study is to understand and forecast the spatial structure where users access knowledge information and exchange with one another and developing the direction and guidelines for the spatial plan that today's libraries prefer through this analysis. For this, this study firstly prepared the base for the research on library space which can be considered as the physical realization of such concepts, through the theoretical review about the knowledge information and social concepts as well as characteristics of modern society. Also, it seized the characteristics in the transmission of knowledge information by conducting a structural analysis of the information service such as knowledge information and space, space and information media, space and space through the cases of 10 public libraries. The analysis resulted in basic data including the system of organizing knowledge information, system of knowledge information transferring elements and structure, and layout pattern of each library. These results are deemed meaningful for the promotion of communication with the user through the exchange, creation, and experience of knowledge information, the social role of today's public library.

To develop a public services framework for the promotion of the public records use of the regional archives in Korea, we analyzed the previous related studies and observed the public services of the renowned overseas regional archives through the we sites. Then, the web 2.0 technology and its application to archives services have been studied. Based on the analysis, a public services framework consisting of 4 phases such as basic services, extended services I, extended services II, interactive services was developed. This framework of 4 phases is not a fixed universal system. Each of the regional archives would select the services they offer according to the budget, personnel, as well as the user community. Finally, community survey, user satisfaction evaluation, and the establishment of specific service guidelines are suggested for the advancement of the public services.

Because of rapid advance of wireless Internet-related technology and fast diffusion of Smart phone, a variety of mobile applications through domestic and foreign app stores have been made and used. Under the recognition of current trend, both central government and local government have developed and provided public mobile app in order to accomplish the mobile e-government. However, public mobile app is not popular in spite of vast investment for its development and service. This study investigated current issues and problems of public mobile app in public service, management, and technology aspects. To do so, this study categorized the interested people of public mobile app into users, providers, and developers, and conducted deep interviews to them. Based on the interview results, the study suggested the following recommendations for the activating tools of public mobile app: providing user-customized information, fruitfulness of public information management, maintenance of management system for public mobile app service, user-friendly promotion appropriate in mobile environment, public mobile app development based on e-government standard framework, etc.. This study may provide the researchers with the successive study guidelines in mobile e-government and public mobile app fields. Also, the study may help the practitioners to make effective decisions on polices and strategies for mobile e-government of local government.

The main purpose of this research is to develop a methodology for designing metadata application profiles(AP) and to design a comprehensive AP for Korea Art and Education Service(KACES), The process of developing a methodology is divided into three steps, analysis of standard metadata schema, analysis of user needs, and content analyses. Metadata principles and guidelines were utilized in designing a KACES AP along with the developed methodology in this study. This paper describes what role the methodology developed here plays in devising metadata elements. The paper also discusses the benefits of three methods for AP design. The study has values in that it provides implications for designing APs for other domains.

The mission of the Forest Inventory and Analyis (FIA) program of the Forest Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, is to conduct the national forest inventory of the United States of America for purposes of estimating the area of forest land; the volume, growth, and removal of forest resources; and the health of the forest. Users of FIA data, estimates, and related products include land managers, policy and decision-makers, forest industry, environmental organizations, and university researchers. To accomplish its mission, the FIA program has established a sampling design with an intensity of approximately one permanent plot per 2,400 ha across the entire country. Depending on the region of the country, each plot is remeasured at intervals of five or 10 years. The program releases data annually and reports estimates at the county level for each state every five years. Due to budgetary constraints and natural variability among plot observations, sufficient numbers of plots cannot be measured to satisfy precision guidelines for the estimates of many variables unless the estimation process is enhanced using ancillary data. Classified satellite imagery has been demonstrated to be a source of ancillary data that can be used with stratified estimation techniques to increase the precision of estimates with little corresponding increase in costs. A crucial factor restricting the utility of FIA data is that the exact locations of inventory plots cannot be released to the public. Thus, users are generally not able to obtain estimates for small areas or for their own areas of interest if exact plot locations are required. To compensate, satellite imagery, inventory plot data, and the k-Nearest Neighbors technique are being used to construct Internet-based maps of forest attributes from which estimates for arbitrary user-defined areas of interest may be obtained.

Blogs are a new type of media that have recently become popular on the World Wide Web and have influence throughout society. The purpose of this study is to examine social motivations influencing intention of blog usage. Based on Technology Acceptance Model and Motivation Theory, this study considered perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, reputation, reciprocity, enjoyment of helping, social identity as the determinants of influencing the intention to use of blog. The suggested model was empirically evaluated using online survey data collection from 342 users of popular blog site in Korea (NAVER Blog, Cyworld minihompy, Daum Blog, and Yahoo Blog). The results revealed that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, reciprocity, and social identity affect directly the intention of blog usage. Furthermore, social identity has moderate effect via reciprocity and enjoyment of helping on blog usage. This study contributes to a theoretical understanding of the factors as social motivation that affects the usage of blogs. Also, the results of this study provide blog service providers useful strategic insights and service guidelines to enhance user's intention of blogs practically.

Presidential records which have produced during a presidency as a national center are the evidence of the presidency and main historical records. We have the responsibility to establish fundamental systems to produce such main historical records and to manage such main historical records which could help people and history to judge the presidency based upon the evidence of their activities. The historical appraisal could be achieved not by memory but by evidence. A draft of a proposed law on the management of presidential records which includes the establishment of presidential libraries for the presidential records Mecca is being moored at the National Assembly now. The presidential library is to be considered as a multi-functional national institution which is carrying out the role as an Archives, Museums and Center for the education. In addition, it is imperative for a presidential library to provide user-oriented services to enrich the usability and the value of records, recognizing the change of administration paradigm from a supplier-oriented system to a customer-oriented system. This dissertation, in order to develop presidential library service programs focusing on customers rather than the convenience of administration, reviewed programs of the U.S. presidential libraries as a developed case and proposes guidelines and applicable samples for the development of the Korean presidential library service programs.

The South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport designated seven automated driving test beds required to evaluate vehicle performance every year for the expansion of mobility services based on automated driving. As a fundamental study, we suggested a necessary example of evaluating the performance with a satisfaction survey for the services before the evaluation. First, we surveyed the perception of automated driving services of users and the public in Sejong-si, South Korea. The survey showed that the users had a higher level of awareness of automated driving technology and intention to use it than the public. Second, the satisfaction survey was conducted on demand-responsive public transportation and automated driving service users. Notably, using the Wilcoxon Rank Sum Test, among the non-parametric statistical analysis methods, we found that safety-related factors affected the overall satisfaction of users of automated driving services. On the other hand, in the case of the demand-responsive public transportation service users, factors related to service convenience affected overall satisfaction. Hence, the results of these surveys are expected to be used as basic data and guidelines to improve the quality of automated driving services and policy establishment.

Social networking services (SNS) are developing significantly with the Internet and smartphones. It's a friendly social media, but if you think deeply about it, you'll find that it has a variety of faces. It is a communication tool between users, a medium for delivering information, an infrastructure for providing applications, and a community where people with common interests gather. In recent years, business tools, shopping and payment methods are also being swallowed. The influence of the spread of SNS on the real world is also expanding, and the work being dealt with from a sociological perspective is also increasing. Also, if you pay attention to the technical aspects of SNS, it is composed of various technical elements, such as infrastructure that handles large-scale access, user interface that supports comfortable use, and big data analysis to understand people's behavior more deeply. However, I usually use it as usual. However, if you look through SNS, you can see that the situation is surprisingly profound and multifaceted. This study began by looking at the history and current status of SNS and attempted to find its status through comparison with other media. From the point of view of relationship with society, it can be a risk and legal issue when using SNS, such as crimes using bad social media or social media. It is also necessary to comment on the activities on SNS or the guidelines established by the operators. Therefore, various legal issues on SNS will be discussed. Also, as an example of using SNS, I will introduce an example of using SNS in disaster response. From a more technical point of view, you will receive commentary on SNS's network-based technology and SNS's information use, and these articles will help you understand and use SNS safely and help you further utilize or develop SNS.
