A Study on the Reliability Quality Testing Model of Game Software (게임 소프트웨어의 신뢰성 품질 평가 모델에 대한 연구)

  • Computer are being used in an increasingly wide variety of application areas, and their correct operation is often critical for business success and humasn safety. Developing high quality software products is therefore of prime important. The recent game software become popular, so we are interest in the game software testing. According to the kinds of game software, because it has the different characters, so game software testing is very difficult. According to enviroment change, Recently, online game is popular, so online game trade in the world market. In the company, developers try to develop the reliable game software. But we can experience many fault of game software in spite of the beta testing. Especially, Testing is very difficult on the game software because of various environment and functionality. We tried the survey for game user. In this paper, we study the quality testing metric of game software fault basis on the ISO/IEC 9126. Also, we consist of the check list of game software a point of view user. It apply for the reliability testing metrics of ISO/IEC 9126.

Semantics Aware Packet Scheduling for Optimal Quality Scalable Video Streaming (다계층 멀티미디어 스트리밍을 위한 의미기반 패킷 스케줄링)

  • In scalable streaming application, there are two important knobs to tune to effectively exploit the underlying network resource and to maximize the user perceivable quality of service(QoS): layer selection and packet scheduling. In this work, we propose Semantics Aware Packet Scheduling (SAPS) algorithm to address these issues. Using packet dependency graph, SAPS algorithm selects a layer to maximize QoS. We aim at minimizing distortion in selecting layers. In inter-frame coded video streaming, minimizing packet loss does not imply maximizing QoS. In determining the packet transmission schedule, we exploit the fact that significance of each packet loss is different dependent upon its frame type and the position within group of picture(GOP). In SAPS algorithm, each packet is assigned a weight called QoS Impact Factor Transmission schedule is derived based upon weighted smoothing. In simulation experiment, we observed that QOS actually improves when packet loss becomes worse. The simulation results show that the SAPS not only maximizes user perceivable QoS but also minimizes resource requirements.

Dynamic Power Management for Webpage Loading on Mobile Devices (모바일 웹 페이지 로딩에서 동적 관리 기법)

  • As the performance of mobile devices has increased, high-end multicore CPUs have become the norm in smartphones. However, such high performance devices are exposed to the problem of battery depletion due to the energy consumption caused by software performance, and despite increases in battery capacity. The required resources are dynamic and varied, and further user interaction is highly random; thus, Linux-based power management such as DVFS is needed to fulfill requirements. In order to reduce power consumption, we propose a method to restrict the CPU frequency of data download while maintaining user reactivity. This can supplement the weakness of existing Linux-based power management techniques like DVFS in relation to webpage loading. Through the implementation of our method at the application level, we confirm that energy consumption from webpage loading is reduced.

UI Elements Identification for Mobile Applications based on Deep Learning using Symbol Marker (심볼마커를 사용한 딥러닝 기반 모바일 응용 UI 요소 인식)

  • Recently, studies are being conducted to recognize a sketch image of a GUI (Graphical User Interface) based on a deep learning and to make it into a code implemented in an application. UI / UX designers can communicate with developers through storyboards when developing mobile applications. However, UI / UX designers can create different widgets for ambiguous widgets. In this paper, we propose an automatic UI detection method using symbol markers to improve the accuracy of DNN (Deep Neural Network) based UI identification. In order to evaluate the performance with or without the symbol markers, their accuracy is compared. In order to improve the accuracy according to of the symbol marker, the results are analyzed when the shape is a circle or a parenthesis. The use of symbol markers will reduce feedback between developer and designer, time and cost, and reduce sketch image UI false positives and improve accuracy.

Application of Theory of Reasoned Action in u-Tour System (유투어 시스템에서의 합리적 행동이론 적용)

  • The objective of this study is to propose the implications using theory of reasoned action(TRA) on u-Tour system. This research model through TRA is consisted as three constructs: user-friendliness(cognitive), perceived usefulness(cognitive) and purchase intention(affective). This study analyzes with a total of 153 respondents and used PLS-SEM method considering the small number of samples. Also, with the analysis, WarpPLS software is used in order to ferret out non-linear relationship between the constructs of research model. As a result of analysis, this research model shows statistical level significantly on proposed hypotheses and the applicability of TRA model in u-Tour system. Furthermore, additional analysis presents the possibility of non-linear relationship on each path between the constructs of research model showing J-shape. Also, the result showes the fact that the relationship had partly negative (-) effect on dependent factor. Additional analysis proposes that income variable as base of purchase intention has a moderating effect on all paths of research model.

  • Lately development of network around Internet expands range of data traffic to multimedia information, and so for the guarantee of multimedia services end-to-end QoS(Quality of Service) must service because comparing with existing Internet service can not support For satisfying those QoS requirements, network have to guarantee not only network on parameter, such as delay, jitter, throughput but also system resources like CPU utilization, memory usage. Therefore it is urgent to develop QoS based middleware to distribute multimedia data and maximize network utilization in the limited resource environment. And it must be necessary of network to provide end-to-end QoS(Quality of Service) for multimedia applications. Multimedia applications want that QoS which satisfy their own service properties be guaranteed Then, We must analyze those necessary QoS requirements md define QoS parameter which specify as two viewpoint, user's and network's perspective. Therefore network provider supplying network for usual user and university, enterprise must want to find about their own network performance and problem. It is essential for network manager to want to use a tool like this. On the basis of technique about QoS test-bed in the AIM network, We studied on the method of QoS measurement and management about end-to-end connection in the Internet. We measured network status about end-to-end connection and analyze the result of performance.

  • Diverse kind of attack using the vulnerability of user authentication on Internet service is announced recently. Especially, security accidents on the Internet banking service and Internet telephony service(SIP) are increased rapidly. Attack skills are also evolved into intelligent mechanism. Therefore, more enhanced authentication mechanism is required on existing Internet banking and telephone services for preventing those kinds of attacks using personal identity information such as biometric data. In this research, the proposed B-OTP mechanism can be used to enhance security on a user authentication procedure by combining biometric data with existing OTP mechanism. As a result, the security on internet banking and Internet telephone service will be more improved by using proposed B-OTP mechanism.

  • In this paper, we designed and implemented a system to easily check and manage book inventory using web and Android mobile device. In the previous conventional method, the user visits the bookstore directly and then checks the inventory. However, in this case, the user accessibility is inconvenient, and it is troublesome to check or reconfirm the inventory. In order to solve these inconveniences, we provide book inventory management system for requesting book purchase and inquiring bulletin board by book field, and then providing real time inventory check with book application and purchase functions. In addition, through the push notification function, we can catch up with the purchase status of the ordered books on the web and Android mobile device in real time. Therefore, we designed and implemented a function that enables bookstore operators and users to easily and conveniently manage by providing statistical information on inventory data.

  • In this paper, we propose a PC based immersive virtual environment system with expandability and compatibility in contrary to existing immersive virtual environment(IVE) systems which have been implemented by supercomputer or special computing system. The application based on commercial personal compute may have two major advantage: one is variety of resources, the other is user-friendly interface. This system intends to offer easy contact to IVE system, realistic images, and convenience. Also, the system can handle various virtual reality at real-time and make it easier to interface existing complicated haptic device. Geometric techniques are adopted to calculate and visualize the physical phenomenon to speed up the computing time. The proposed implementation method of PC based immersive virtual environment system is implemented to the example in which user move around inside of and interact with virtual office environment wearing data glove, behavior recognition devices, and HMD.

Development of Usability Evaluation Criteria for Senior-Friendly Autonomous Transportation Robot

  • Objective: The purpose of the study is to develop quantitative usability evaluation criteria for senior-friendly autonomous transportation robot. Background: The Republic of Korea has become the most rapidly aging society, and is anticipated to enter the post-aged society in 2026. To raise the quality of life of a senior with limited mobility and to reduce the burden of caregivers, many high-tech assistive products with information technologies are developed nowadays. The senior-friendly autonomous transportation robot is one person robot vehicle to move a senior to the destination for hospitals, nursing homes or silver town complex. With built-in navigation system and environmental monitoring censors, it automatically seeks the path to the destination and avoids collision to obstacles and pedestrians on the way. Due to the early stage of the product, few usability studies in this field have been done, mostly on general service robots to assist seniors, power wheelchairs and delivery robots. ISO and KS standards for the service robots are focused on safety. Method: Based on the reference usability index, the early draft of the usability evaluation questionnaires was developed. After small group tests and interviews, the experts modified the initial draft to the Usability Evaluation Criteria for Senior-Friendly Autonomous Transportation Robot (UEC-SFATR). Result: UEC-SFATR consisted of 4 subscales - Safety, Controllability, Efficiency and Satisfaction. All of the 4 subscales of UEC-SFATR were passed the reliability criteria by 4 groups of seniors, divided by gender and familiarity of smart-devices. Conclusion: UEC-SFATR covers wider area of user experiences of the SFATR and is a good measurement tool to help both the users and developers of the robot. Application: This study provides guide to the future product development and product competitiveness evaluation by quantifying user experiences for the SFATR.
