  • Blog is a new global phenomenon, but many research papers about organizational blog have not been shown. In this study the influencing factors of the organizational blog usage are empirically investigated, and several guidelines are suggested to IT professionals who involves the design and implementation of the organizational blog. The research model consists of seven independent variables, one dependent variable, and two moderating variables. The following variables are established as the independent variables; information, interface, service, communication, enjoy, performance expectation, and social influence. Two dimensions such as need and orientation are suggested for the moderating variables, and the actual usage is adopted as a dependent variable. As a result of multiple regression analysis using a stepwise method, the independent variables except for interface and communication affect the actual usage of organizational blogs. The moderating effects for need and orientation are partially supported. The implications of this study are as the followings; (1) The empirical factors affecting the usage of organizational blogs are empirically investigated, (2) The affecting factors vary according to the type of organizational blogs, and (3) Some guidelines are suggested for organizational blog's design.

  • Given the importance of adoption of the IOS (Interorganizational System) and the “much-slower-than-anticipated” growth of IOS adoption, especially in small- and midium firms, this study aimed to identify the key determinants of small- and midium-sized firms' ISO usage. Based on prior research on IT/EDI adoption in various organizations, the model that incorporates 9 factors that are hypothesized to have influence on the ISO usage decision was developed and empirically tested against data collected from 114 small- and midium-seized firms' top management. The results show that perceived financial costs are found to be major impediments to usage intention, and perceptions of relative advantage, compatibility, risk are also important determinants of ISO usage intention in small- and midium-sized firms. Implications of these findings are duscussed for researchers and practitioners.

  • While the goal of new IT adoption in small and medium sized firms is to choose an optimal system to fit with their own environments and conditions, that of IT post-adoption usage is to fully implement new IT and maximize their benefits from it. Therefore, the decision-making environments of new IT adoption is definitely different from those of post-adoption. Also, The direct experience of IT usage can provide some learning effect and the change of users' beliefs on new IT. From this point of view, this study attempts to figure out the differences of influencing factors on IOS usage intention between adopters and non-adopters. The results show that there are clear differences of influencing factors between two groups. Non-adopter group shows that perceived financial cost and ability of use have significant influences on IOS usage intention, while relative advantage and perceived risk in adopter group have statistically significant influences on post-adoption usage of IOS.

  • In this paper, we identified factors that affect the usage of UCC, which is becoming increasingly popular in our society and throughout the globe. Four hypotheses were tested using a new integrative model of UCC usage, which is built up by incorporating the TAM and the PAD(pleasure-arousal-dominace)model. We analyzed the data collected in our survey of 258 individual UCC users during the period from Oct 2006 to Dec 2006. We found that pleasure and arousal showed a strong significant effect on individual's UCC usage, supporting the findings of the exiting research on TAM. To be specific, arousal had an effect on the UCC usage through its effect on pleasure and self efficacy. Pleasure affected the UCC usage in two ways: First, pleasure affected UCC usage through increasing the ease of UCC service. At the same time, pleasure had a direct effect on the UCC usage. Contrary to what the prior research on technology acceptance suggested, we found ease of use and social influence had no significant effect on individual's UCC usage. We further found that such effects of the ease of use and pleasure factors are more positive in the entertainment-based UCC than in the relationship-based UCC.

  • This paper studies the economic replacement method for production facilities which requires huge investment but are necessary for higher productivity and competability of products. That is, the general models for the decision of economic life of properties which minimizes the total costs throughout the usage life(Life cycle costs) are generated. Main factors which make influences for the decision of econmic life can be divided by three. These are the change of salvage value, repair and maintenance costs, and availability of production facilities with the passage of usage time. In this paper, the real world data for these three factors are collected and analyzed for the extraction of representative standard forms with the passage of time. And general models for economic replacement methods and optimal usage terms are presented through tables with the combination of the standard forms of these three main factors.

  • This study proposed a novel model to investigate influential factors affecting the intention to continue using increasingly popular food delivery apps (FDAs). The proposed theoretical model is developed and validated to extend traditional technology acceptance and adoption theories by identifying several determinant factors that capture the unique context of FDAs continuous usage. Hypotheses were tested using a partial least square structural equation modeling approach (PLS-SEM) on data collected from 331 actual FDAs users during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results reveal that convenience, perceived compatibility, delivery experience, and online reviews significantly influence the continuous usage of FDAs. The findings also confirm the importance of continuous intention on the actual use of FDAs. The research model of this study explains 65% of variance in continuous intention and 47% in actual use. The insights provided by this study suggest fruitful directions for future research. They can also help FDAs companies, developers and marketers with strategies and tips for further development and growth by ensuring users' continuous usage of these platforms.
