Recent years have witnessed renewed interest in Africa and public diplomacy has emerged as the vital tool being used to cultivate these relations. China has been leading in pursuing stronger economic partnership with Africa while middle powers such as Korea are also intensifying engagement with the continent. While previous studies have analyzed the implications of China's activities in Africa on advanced powers, none has examined them from the paradigm of middle powers. This study fills this gap by assessing China's activities in Africa, their economic engagement and implications for Korea's interest in Africa. The analysis is qualitative based on secondary data from various sources and literature. The study shows that China's public diplomacy strategy involves a high degree of innovation and has evolved to encompass new tools and audiences. China has institutionalized a cooperative model that permeates many aspects of governance institutions in Africa, enabling it to strengthen their relations. This could also be helping China to adjust faster leadership transitions in Africa. Whereas the US is still the most influential country in Africa, China is influential in economic policies and has outstripped the US in infrastructure diplomacy. This could be because African policy makers align more with China's economic model than the US' mainstream economics. Chinese aid to Africa has been diversified to social sectors that are more responsive to the needs of Africa. Trade and investment relations between China and Africa have deepened, but so does trade imbalance since 2010. China mainly imports natural resources and raw materials from Africa. But this product portfolio is not different from Korea and the US. China's energetic insertion in Africa using various strategies has significant implications for countries with ambitions in Africa. Korea can achieve its ambitions in Africa by focusing resources in areas it can leverage its core strengths-such as education and vocational training, environmental policy and development cooperation.

There are several methods for the design of 2D filter. Notable among them is McClellan transform method. This transform allows us to obtain a high order 2D FIR filter through mapping the 1D frequency points of a 1D prototype FIR filter onto 2D frequency contours. We design 2D filter using this transform. Then we notice for mapping deviation of the 2D filter. In this paper, Quadratic programming (QP) method allows us to obtain coefficients of McClellan transform. Then we compare deviation of QP method with least-squares(LS) method. Elliptic filter is used for comparison. The optimal cutoff frequencies of a 1D filter are obtained directly from the QP method. Also several problem of LS method are solved.

The 21st centurt, the era of change-space, is requesting us to readjust our education system. In other words, we should renew it by looking back into the past cultivate more advanced ideas. As a matter of fact junior colleges have been considered just as miniture of universities in every way such as curriculum, prossor emploment, school affairs, etc. Therefore we should change our existing education system not to be criticized for the next century. May students are trained for industry as dental technicians in our department of college. We should educate experiment and practice substantially as college professors as well as exert ourselves in developing our abilities to adapt to high diverse industrial technique, putting emphasis on practice more than theory. It is mecessary for us to sufficiently teach the technique to good students and make them display their abilities in order to produce high quality goods. Reinvestment ineducation is a condition precedent. Dental laboratories have just employed the students that graduated from our college. However it's time for a change. They should pay attention to our education and assist us in all respects with the thought of equally educating professional dental technicians together with us. The field practice system is subject to reinforcement so that our students have more opporunities of utilizing the tools and materials for practice. Finally we should not only carry out new reserch more deeply no less than dental technicians who are experienced in business for development of education system but endeavor to meet pratical education by adding what is pratically needed in dental laboratories to the existing education system.

In 2001 US FDA proposed a draft guidance for future in vivo bioequivalence studies. The guidance suggested specific criteria for new drug sponsors to show prescribability and switchability in bioequivalence testing for approval of generic drugs. However, there is less acceptance of the need to change statistical procedures and study designs from those currently used to assess the current criterion of average bioequivalence. The measures of population and individual bioequivalence testing are introduced and statistical procedures for them are discussed.

This paper presents a method to find motion vectors that are closer to true motion with noisy images for simultaneous noise reduction and do-interlacing. The proposed method requires four interlaced field images: one noisy field image and three field images from which noise is already removed. The validation of motion provides accurate motion vectors and allows us to utilize them even in very noisy environment. The validated motion vectors are first used for the noise reduction, buffered and used later for the noise reduction and de -interlacing.

This dissertation is a study on the dietary culture of Yuan Dynasty in China and that of Koryo Dynasty in Korea. Yuan Dynasty had some professional books about its dietary culture, and gives us comparetively comprehensive knowledge of the culinary art and foods used in those days. But Koryo Dynasty had few books about its dietary culture. Therefore, we had to collect information found here and there in miscellaneous books belonging to other categories, such as history, literature, medicine, etc. and arrange them in systematic orders. Here are some conclusions of the study.

In this paper, we propose a novel methodology to identify border gateway protocol (BGP) updates associated with major events - affecting network reachability to multiple ASes - and separate them (statistically) from those attributable to minor events, which individually generate few updates, but collectively form the persistent background noise observed at BGP vantage points. Our methodology is based on principal component analysis, which enables us to transform and reduce the BGP updates into different AS clusters that are likely affected by distinct major events. We demonstrate the accuracy and effectiveness of our methodology through simulations and real BGP data.

This study attempts to approach to the Peter Jones' and Marian C. Spears' foodservice delivery system with a focus on their theory. First, ten stages and ten dedicated foodservice delivery systems were introduced. And the author made an attempt to analyze the Peter Jones' ten stages and ten dedicated foodservice delivery systems and then the author's suggestions about them were presented. Second, the author explain the Marian C. Spears' four types of foodservice operations enabling us to establish the type of foodservice operation newly.

- COVID -19 taught us a lot about how to protect our tall buildings from infectious diseases. This paper captures the lessons learned about airflow in indoor spaces when considering furniture and its placement. By applying them we move towards future proofing our buildings both in normal and pandemic times.

To predict combustion instability in actual full-scale combustion chamber of rocket engines, air-injection test is proposed with scaling techniques. From the data, damping factors have been obtained as a function of hydraulic parameter and the data give us instability map. Two instability regions are presented and it is found that they coincide reasonably with them from hot-fire test with full-scale flow rates. Accordingly, the proposed approach can be applied cost-effectively to stability rating of jet injectors when mixing of fuel and oxidizer jets is the dominant process in instability triggering.
