버스 정비 작업자에 대한 석면 및 디젤 엔진 배출물질 노출 평가 (Exposure Assessment to Asbestos and Diesel Engine Exhaust Particulate Matter in Urban Bus Garage)

  • Objectives: Lung cancer occurred with worker working in an urban bus garage. A survey was conducted to investigate whether lung cancer had causal relationship with work. Exposure to asbestos and diesel engine exhaust were suspected. Methods: Airborne asbestos was sampled on membrane filter and analyzed using phase-contrast microscopy. Airborne diesel exhaust was sampled using quartz filter and analyzed with thermal-optical analyzer. Polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons was sampled using PTFE filter and XAD-2 tube and analyzed with gas chromatography-mass selective detector. Results: Airborne asbestos concentration was under 0.01 fiber/cc. Worker who warmed up an engine of urban bus for 2 hours was exposed to elemental carbon concentration, $15.5{\mu}g/m^3$. Only naphtalene among polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons was detected. Conclusions: It was difficult to conclude about worker exposure to asbestos because working hour related asbestos was too short. In reviewing papers, the exposure to asbestos over 0.01 fiber/cc during exchange brake lining was found. It was identified that worker's occupational exposure to diesel exhaust based on elemental carbon was higher than the other occupational exposure to diesel exhaust.

경관유형이 도시사무직 근로자의 스트레스와 인지수행에 미치는 영향 -자연경관과 도시경관과의 비교를 중심으로- (The Impact of Landscape Type on Urban Office Workers' Stress and Cognitive Performance - Comparison between Natural and Urban Landscape -)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of natural landscapes in the context of work environments. The study examined the impact of natural landscapes on urban office workers' stress reduction and cognitive performance, using physiological, psychological, and cognitive measures. One-hundred-twenty urban office workers participated in the experiments. The physiological measures used were GSR (galvanic skin response) and IBI (interbeat interval), and the psychological measure was ZIPERS (Zucherman Inventory of Personal Reactions). Cognitive performance was measured using a mental arithmetic test that had been developed by a pretest. The results from the physiological, psychological, and cognitive measures converged to indicate that the natural landscape had more beneficial effects in relieving both psychological and physiological stress and in enhancing cognitive performance of the of office workers than the city landscape. The results suggest wide applications in the fields of workers' well-being and landscape research. First, the results can provide reliable information for promoting natural landscaping in work places in order to relieve worker stress and enhance cognitive performance. Second, the results provide an example for future empirical landscape research using multiple measurements, such as psychological, physiological, and cognitive tests. Third, they can foster experimental research to investigate the relationship between stress reduction and natural landscapes.

종사상 지위분류에 따른 산업분포변화: 부산, 1994~2004 (The Change of Industrial Distribution Pattern by Worker Status Classification : Busan, 1994~2004)

  • 도시산업구조의 진단과 예측은 지속가능한 도시발전계획수립을 위한 주요한 과제이다. 지금까지의 산업관련 도시공간구조 연구들은 주로 도시산업체 자료나 총 종사자수 자료를 활용하여 산업유형별 공간분포의 측정에 집중되어져 왔다. 그러나 최근 비정규직 문제를 포함한 근로자의 종사상 지위가 중요한 이슈가 되는 시점에서 본 연구는 읍면동 단위의 1994년 및 2004년 종사상 지위별 자료를 수집하고 동 변화자료를 기반으로 공간분석 단위를 일치시킨 후 GIS를 활용하여 종사상 지위분류체계 자료를 활용한 도시산업구조의 질적 변화를 공간적 관점에서 해석하였다. GIS환경에서 부산시 산업구조의 종사상지위 유형별 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전통적인 노동집약적 산업이 한계에 부딪히고, 서비스업 및 도소매업은 영세한 생계형으로 진행되어 부산의 고용흡수력이 떨어질 수밖에 없었으며 통계상으로는 종사자의 수가 증가하였으나 비정규직과 비임금 노동자가 급증하면서 부산지역 일자리의 질이 하락하고 있는 것으로 측정되었다. 둘째, 전통적인 도심지는 쇠퇴하는 반면 신도시나 신흥공업단지가 형성된 지역, 제조업보다 서비스업이 발달한 지역이 일자리가 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 본 연구의 결과는 도시발전의 근간이 되는 산업구조의 행태적 패턴 뿐 아니라 종사상지위라는 질적 평가를 통한 장기적 차원의 산업발전계획안 마련을 위한 기초자료로서의 활용을 기대한다.

Leveraging Visibility-Based Rewards in DRL-based Worker Travel Path Simulation for Improving the Learning Performance

  • Optimization of Construction Site Layout Planning (CSLP) heavily relies on workers' travel paths. However, traditional path generation approaches predominantly focus on the shortest path, often neglecting critical variables such as individual wayfinding tendencies, the spatial arrangement of site objects, and potential hazards. These oversights can lead to compromised path simulations, resulting in less reliable site layout plans. While Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) has been proposed as a potential alternative to address these issues, it has shown limitations. Despite presenting more realistic travel paths by considering these variables, DRL often struggles with efficiency in complex environments, leading to extended learning times and potential failures. To overcome these challenges, this study introduces a refined model that enhances spatial navigation capabilities and learning performance by integrating workers' visibility into the reward functions. The proposed model demonstrated a 12.47% increase in the pathfinding success rate and notable improvements in the other two performance measures compared to the existing DRL framework. The adoption of this model could greatly enhance the reliability of the results, ultimately improving site operational efficiency and safety management such as by reducing site congestion and accidents. Future research could expand this study by simulating travel paths in dynamic, multi-agent environments that represent different stages of construction.

서울 도시철도 건설방향에 대한 연구 (A Study on Construction policy for Seoul Metropolitan Railway)

  • 본 연구는 그동안 지자체 및 각종 연구기관에서 조사된 교통 현황 및 각종 통계자료와 도시철도 현황을 재분석하고 교통과 인구의 관계, 서울의 지역별 산업분포와 종사자와의 관계, 승용차 등록대수 현황과 증가추이를 통해서 중장기적인 변화와 문제점을 예측하기 위해 연구되었으며, 서울도시철도의 발전적 건설방향과 안정적인 도시철도 건설을 위한 재원확보라는 양 측면에서 대안을 제시하였다.

도시취업자의 세대간 직업이동과 세대내 이동 (Inter-and Intragenerational Occupational Mobility in Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 한국노동연구원 패널조사(KLIPS)의 1차년도 자료를 이용해서 자녀의 최초 직업 및 현재 직업귀속을 결정하는 데 부모의 직업이 어떠한 영향을 미치고, 최초 직업이 현재의 직업귀속에 어떤 영향을 미치는가를 다항로짓분석을 이용해 살펴봄으로써 세대간 직업이동과 세내내 이동에 대해 분석하였다. 이 연구를 통해 세대간 직업이동에서 교육이 중요한 매개변수로 작용한다는 점, 각 직업집단마다 정도는 다르지만 현재의 직업귀속에 최초의 직업선택이 상당한 영향을 미친다는 점을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 직업집단간 이동의 가능성이 어려운 정도로부터 고용주, 자영자 일부(상층), 사무직, 자영자 일부(하층), 생산직의 순으로 도시취업자 내부에 서열이 나타난다는 시사점을 얻었다. 정책적인 합의와 관련해서는 이미 세대간 직업이동에서 교육이 중요한 매개변수로 작용하고 있다는 점에서 사회이동을 활성화하기 위해서는 교육기회가 직업집단간에 달라지지 않도록 하는 방향으로 정책이 개발되어야 한다는 점을 발견할 수 있었다.

The Geriatric Care Workers' Role Care for Elderly of Sanatorium in Korea

  • This paper is to research the difference of care workers' role in Sanatorium between urban and rural areas. Interviews have been conducted with 100 care managers with structured questionnaires in community care settings. The findings of the study are as follows. In the analysis of working with carers a care manager acting as a counsellor in rural was required rather more than any other role in working with clients' carers. In working with formal and informal networks, an administrative specialist role was also important in both areas. With resource management, there were some regional variances between rural and urban. In the urban area, a care managers as a coordinator was more required than as a broker. In the rural area, a care manager as a broker, selecting service resources for elderly clients was the most suitable role. In conclusion, in general rural care managers' roles were similar to those of many core managers in urban area. Among the many possible roles of care managers that effective continuity of care is to be provided for elderly clients in community care, two have been specified as essential roles. The first is the role of care managers that provides coordination and integration of services at the clients' levels as a care manager as an implementer, a linkman, counsellor. The second is at the system level which is possible role for coordination and linkage of programs as a characteristics of care managers, task with formal & informal network, community resources, available residential & NHS resourcesw.

농촌지역 공공부조사업의 차별성 반영에 관한 연구 (A Study on Differentiate Performance of Public Assistance Program in Rural Community)

  • Today, the public assistance program in Korea is provided mainly for the livelihood protection beneficiary in urban area. The fact that the urban community-centered program is also applied to the livelihood protection beneficiary in rural area brings about some problems in fitness and effectiveness of resource distribution. The purpose of my study is to present my opinion that the public assistance program for the rural community should be put in practice after being fully distinguished from the urban program for the effective distribution of limited social welfare resources to insure the minimum standard of living and seek the self-support contribution which is the purpose of the public assistance program. The subject for this study were livelihood protection beneficiaries living in both rural and urban area. And the study was carried out in this parts: first, the way of life in them, second, the contents of 6 main public assistance programs being carried out. Total number of the livelihood protection beneficiaries are 279 case: 143 case from 15 Dong in 5 cities, and 136 case from 15 Myun in 5 counties. And the social worker who are performing the public assistance programare consisted of 50 case: 25 case from 5 Dong in 5 cities, and 25 case from 5 Myun in 5 counties. This research reach the result that the differentiate performance of the public assistance program in rural community would be an effective device for self-support to be freed from the vicious circle of poverty.

공공유니폼의 색채 분석 (Color Analysis of Public Uniforms)

  • Public uniforms play an important role in creating the color and image of urban environment beyond the level of simple working clothes for unity and practicality. Hence this study aims to compare and analyze the color characteristics and images of the police officer, fire fighter, and street cleaner uniforms at home and abroad to guarantee the wearer's safety, increase convenience and agreeability, and give emotional satisfaction to citizens in harmony with urban environment color as public uniforms. For study methods, literature review investigated urban environment, color, and uniforms as public design. Empirical study extracted color data from the public worker uniforms of the world's top 20 cities selected by 'Newsweek' in 2010 and analyzed their colors, tones, and color images. The results of this study are as follows. The most common color for police uniforms were PB(dk) as the main color, PB(p) as the sub color, and Wh as the accent color. For fire fighter uniforms, PB(dkg) was the most common main color; GY(v), as the sub color; and ItGy, as the accent color. The most common color for street cleaner uniforms was YR(v) as the main color; GY(v), as the sub color; and mGy, as the accent color. As a result of analyzing color images of these uniforms, it was found that police uniforms commonly used a modern image; fire fighter uniforms commonly used a natural image and a cool casual image; and street cleaner uniforms commonly used a casual image. As examined above, the color of public uniforms suitable for urban environment and job characteristics is very important to establish the image of public institutions, as well as to create an urban image.

영역별 사회연결망이 생활 만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Area-Specific Social Network on Life Satisfaction)

  • The present study investigated the effect of area-specific social networks on urban workers life satisfaction. For this, 356 adults over age 20 were interviewed from June 17th 2013 to June 29th 2013. The findings are as follows: First, the closeness of family network index demonstrates that participants with higher affective support have higher life satisfaction. In addition, stronger extended family network brings more life satisfaction and so does a bigger friendship network. Secondly, the extended family network explains 17.6% of the variance in social networks follows by family network, other network, and friendship network, respectively. The closeness variable of social networks yields statistical significance on all categories of networks. The affective support level in the closeness variable of social networks shows differences as well; family network positively associates with life satisfaction. The purposes of this research are to investigate the actual conditions of urban workers' life satisfaction and the influence of family, extended family, friendship, and other variables on life satisfaction. If social networks have an influence on life satisfaction, to find the domain of social networks that holds the most influences on life satisfaction is an important ground in the process of implementing regional welfare.
