This study investigates the current situation of the ISO 9000 manufacturing industry in Taiwan, analyzing the business influence of ISO 9000 and the relation of the influence to industry-related characteristics. The study utilized polling and was approached from six aspects, using 26 indicator items to evaluate performance. The six approaches consisted of business management, finance management, production management, human resources management, marketing management, and a company's overall situation. Methods used to analyze the collected data were mainly drawn from descriptive statistics e.g.. the T test and analysis of single factors with variation. The study found that $96.6\%$ of the industry thought that the introduction of the ISO 9000 series was somewhat beneficial. The 26 indicator items among the six approaches were proved substantially effective by the T test. It was obvious that the effect of the ISO 9000 series industry standard was beneficial and helpful to the manufacturing industry.

The aim of this study is to propose the plausibility of Ship-repair industry brand in the global market. It has been argued that it is necessary to secure the identity of company because of the expansion of international market in the age of globalization. Authors of this paper have considered that the brand is a solution for global ship-repair industry's development in Busan region with focusing on the 5 elements (Salience, Imagery, Performance, Feeling, and Judgments) of Keller's brand equity block except Resonance. As a result, we presented the roles of company for securing the brand equity in ship-repair industry comparing with the elements of Keller's brand equity block. and implied the plausibility of global ship-repair industry's development. Especially, Securing the licences and certifications related to ship-repair industry is very important thing about the brand equity.

In Singapore, the construction industry's performance in safety has often been the worst among the other industries. This paper seeks to compare the efforts of the shipbuilding and repair industry and the construction industry in improving the level of safety performance. One key factor identified in the paper will be the subcontractors' role in the safety aspect. Based on the analysis of statistic carried out by the Ministry of Manpower of Singapore and many others, this paper aims to identify the success of the shipbuilding and repair industry and gives thought as to how the construction industry can further improve its safety record.

The Kernelized Correlation Filters (KCF) tracker has caused the extensive concern in recent years because of the high efficiency. Numerous improvements have been made successively. However, due to the abrupt motion between the consecutive image frames, these methods cannot track object well. To cope with the problem, we propose an extended KCF tracker based on swarm intelligence method. Unlike existing KCF-based trackers, we firstly introduce a swarm-based sampling method to KCF tracker and design a unified framework to track smooth or abrupt motion simultaneously. Secondly, we propose a global motion estimation method, where the exploration factor is constructed to search the whole state space so as to adapt abrupt motion. Finally, we give an adaptive threshold in light of confidence map, which ensures the accuracy of the motion estimation strategy. Extensive experimental results in both quantitative and qualitative measures demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method in tracking abrupt motion.

Construction industry has become a larger and highly competitive industry. A successful construction project cannot be achieved only by efficient and fast construction techniques but also reasonable material cost and adequate transferring time of materials to installation. The steel industry in East Asia has become the mainstream in overall steel industries in over the world during the middle of the 21st century. China, Japan and Korea has been the main exportation countries. However, even though the international economic failure, China has increased the exportation amount and became an only exporting country which must be considered a serious problem regarding competitiveness in the international steel exportation industry. Thus, this study analyses the factors affecting the supply and demand amount of reinforced bars in the domestic field and moreover suggesting a unit cost prediction model using the System Dynamics simulation methodology, one of powerful prediction tools using cause-effect relationships. It is expected that this study contributes to the domestic steel industry growth in competitiveness in the international industry. In addition, the methodology used in this paper presents the frameworks for appropriate tools for market trend analysis and prediction of other markets.

본 연구는 지역대학이 인문사회계열 산학협력 사업의 추진을 통해 지역 발전에 기여하고 있는 일본의 사례 분석을 통하여 지역발전에 있어서 대학의 역할에 대해 고찰하고, 우리나라에 대한 정책적 시사점을 도출하였다. 일본 사례 분석의 결과, 인문사회계열 지역대학의 주도에 의해 다양한 지역 주체들의 적극적인 참여와 협조를 통한 산학협력 활동이 지역발전에 기여하고 있음을 확인하였다. 지금까지 지역문제 해결에 있어서 소극적이었던 대학의 역할에서 벗어나 인문사회계열 산학협력을 통해 지역사회와 보다 적극적인 관계 맺음으로써, 대학이 경제, 문화, 교육 등의 다방면에서 지역사회의 문제와 과제들을 해결 극복하고 있는 것이다. 이에 지역발전을 위한 인문사회계열 산학협력의 활성화를 위해서는 산학협력에 대한 인식 제고, 학생주도의 프로그램 개발, 대학차원의 적극적인 의지와 노력, 정부 차원의 지원 방안 마련 등이 요구된다.

This study focuses on apparel production and consumption trends in major Asian economies in order to understand a paradigm change in the Asian fashion industry. A comparison of trade among ASEAN, NICs, and developed countries shows the changes that have occurred in terms of production and consumption of fashion products before and after 2000 in Korea, Hong Kong, and China. The flow of imports and exports in the apparel industry was analyzed using UN trade statistics data. The results found a change of industry structures in Asian NICs and ASEAN countries. Garment production bases have moved to lower cost regions like China and ASEAN; in addition, NICs sent a part of their export business in the fashion industry to ASEAN countries. The Asian fashion industry has transformed from a production base for developed countries into a consumption market with the emergence of newly industrializing economies.

We suggested the policy of labor management in pump manufacturing industry through survey in order to improve competitive ability. In pump manufacturing industry, since it is difficult to find sufficient worker having technical skill and knowledge concerning pump manufacturing technology, therefore the industry must cultivate the employee systematically. We reached the result, production engineer and R&D engineer play an important role to improve competitive ability in pump manufacturing industry. Though they need technical education, the effect of education was not satisfactory. To solve this problem, suitable technical education course must be devised. Marketing reinforcement is a important factor in pump manufacturing industry. To achieve marketing reinforcement, each company must develop their present technology further and raise marketing ability to expand internal and external business. It is also consulted to use IT technology.

The methanol extract of waxy brown rice fermented with Agrocybe cylindracea was prepared. The extract was then freeze dried and fed to rats at the level of 0.5, 1.0, 2.0 g/kg body weight for 14 days, followed by the treatment with carbon tetrachloride for three consecutive days to induce hepatotoxicity. After sacrificing the rats, the enzyme activity of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), and ${\gamma}$-glutamyl transpeptidase (${\gamma}$-GTP) in serum was determined. Biochemical analysis on serum for albumin, total protein, triglyceride, and total as well as HDL-cholesterol were carried out along with a histopathological study of liver tissues. Based on these data, we suggest that the waxy brown rice cultured with A. cylindracea may exert hepatoprotective activity against hepatotoxicity caused by chemicals such as carbon tetrachloride.

크루즈 관광 산업은 21세기 유망 성장 산업으로 볼 수 있다. 그러나 크루즈 관광 산업에 대해 중국에서 개발을 허용하는 입법 프레임워크는 아직 완전히 준비되지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구는 중국 크루즈 관광산업에 대한 산업 정책을 제안하기 위한 것이다. 크루즈 관광 산업의 발전을 위한 성장을 주도하기 위한 중국 중앙 정부의 정책은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정부는 크루즈 인프라 건설을 늦추기 위해 산업 정책을 설정해야 한다. 둘째, 정부는 크루즈 선박의 방문을 유치하기 위한 산업 정책을 개선해야 한다. 셋째, 정부는 크루즈 제품 개발을 지원하기 위한 조치를 취해야 한다. 넷째, 정부는 크루즈 사업과 사회단체를 지원하기 위한 조치를 취해야 한다. 마지막으로 정부는 해외로 관광선별 시스템과 크루즈 카지노 관리를 강화해야 한다.
