  • In this paper, we introduce a new method of detecting faults for a power converter unit in Control Rod Control System. The faults of a power converter unit can exert harmful influence upon the operation of Control Rod Drive Mechanisms and the control of the reactor output. This situation makes the quick and correct detection of failures in a power converter unit very important. We devise a new method of fault detection for the digital power controller and improve the drawbacks of the existing fault detector.

볼-유정압 복합베어링을 갖는 고정밀 주축의 회전특성에 관한 연구 (Rotational Characteristics of High Precision Spindle Unit with Ball-Hydrostatic Bearing)

  • The spindle unit is core parts in high precision machine tools. Diverse static and dynamic charateristics of spindle unit are needed for special purpose of machine tools. Specially, high damping ability may be very useful to high precision and high speed spindle unit. But commercial bearing system has very low damping value and high stiffness. In this paper, the combined bearing system with ball-hydrostatic bearing is suggested for high damping spindle unit. The suggested bearing system has 30% damping ability more than general ball bearing's. The average rotational accuracy of spindle with combined bearing in working speed is 24% better than with ball bearing. The unbalance rotating experiment in spindle show that rotating error with combined bearing is only half value of with ball bearing.

  • In this paper, an interface unit is designed to efficiently monitor transmission data in Controller Area Network(CAN)-based control systems. The CAN uses a serial multi master communication protocol that efficiently supports distributed real-time control with a very high level of data integrity, and communication speeds of up to 1Mbps. The interface unit is composed of a DSP controller which collects data on the CAN bus and transfers data to a personal computer via serial communication to save and display of interesting signals. The experimental system consists of three DSP controllers which represent electronic control units of a vehicle, an interface unit for analysing the data on the bus, and a graphic monitoring program coded on the Windows platform. The validity and the effectiveness of the proposed simple type of CAN interface unit are shown through the experimental results.

  • In a comparison the Logistics system for Agro-food of Korea and the Logistic system of Europe and Japan, the more developed countries of Europe have better systems. This well-formed rationalization of Logistics on Agro-food, and perfectly-equipped packaging system measurements for Agro-food make 100% pallet freight possible. Also, this means that a unit load system has been achieved. In Japan, the Logistic system is mainly accomplished by auction. However, it has been rapidly changing into the same type as the developed countries these days. Logistic system in Korea is also mainly accomplished by auction under the influence of Japan. However it also has been rapidly changing in to the same type as the developed countries these days. In the future, Korea has to build up international competitiveness in the face of FTA(Free Trade Agreement) era. This can happen by having better-organized Agro-food Logistics system and unit load system which results in accurate packaging system measurements.

Electrical system design in FLNG offshore unit

  • In recent years, Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) Unit have attracted considerable attention. Generally, liquefied natural gas (LNG) units are produced in onshore liquefaction terminals from gas supplied from onshore gas fields or large-scale offshore gas fields near the coast. However, the development of these gas fields has approached saturation. Large-scale offshore gas fields far from the coast, as well as undeveloped medium- and small-scale offshore gas fields, have recently attracted attention. Among several proposed concepts, the floating LNG plant in the form of the FLNG system was chosen for further evaluation and development, considering worldwide receiving infrastructure. The design of a 2.5 million tonne per annum FLNG unit has been completed with a capacity corresponding to that of modern onshore liquefaction plants. Various simulation tests were performed to evaluate the performance of the electrical power plant, focusing on the efficiency of the electrical system to secure the aspects of plant safety. This design study analyzes the electrical system for the FLNG unit to improve the safety of operation and maintenance in the field.

  • 국내 최초로 건설된 가압경수로형 발전소인 고리1호기는 1978년 4월 첫 상업운전을 개시하였고, 2017년 6월 18일 영구정지 될 계획이다. 고리1호기에서는 사용후핵연료가 사용후핵연료저장조로 모두 이송된 이후, 계통 표면의 선량율을 감소시키기 위한 목적으로 전계통 제염을 실시할 계획이다. 이 논문에서는 해외 원전의 계통제염 사례분석을 통해 국내 최초로 시행될 예정인 고리1호기의 계통제염 운전개념을 기술하고자 하였다.

  • According to the construction of Seoul Thermal #5 (250MW) unit, there will be prospected several new problems on the power system operation. This paper describes the characteristic of system frequency decay during severe emergencies which result in sudden outage of such large generator unit. It also studies the factors involved in applying under frequency relays to maintan an allowable frequency level and to prevent total area collapse by automatic load shedding program.

  • This paper describes development of small scale voice dialing system using TMS320C30. Recognition vocabuliary is used 50 department name within university. In vocabulary below the middle scale, word unit recognition is more practice than phoneme unit or syllable unit recognition. In this paper, we performend recognition and model generation using DMS(Dynamic Multi-Section) and implemeted voice dialing system using TMS320C30. As a result of recognition, we achieved a 98% recognition rate in condition of section 22 and weight 0.6 and recognition time took 4 seconds.

  • In this paper, the IGBT VVVF inverter for 1C4M propulsion system of railway traction is studied. The inverter is consisted of IGBT stacks, a DB unit, and a control unit. The test results of the combined system is given, which shows an excellent performance of the overall system.

  • This paper proposes an experimental study on the traction system of rubber tired AGT (Automated Guideway Transit). IGBT VVVF inverter is developed for 1C2M propulsion system of AGT, and it consists of inverter stack, gate control unit, control unit, and interface unit. The combination test was carried out to prove the performance of inverter, and test results show that the developed inverter is excellent.
