Despite the unfamiliar term "multifunctionality of agriculture" and the tremendous number of debates made over the past 10 years, multiple benefits from paddy rice farming in the Asian monsoon region are very significance due to the various inherent characteristics of paddy rice in this lesion. They were identified as rural vitalization, social security, nature and environmental preservations, and social and cultural functions. As studies estimating the monetary value of nature and environmental functions in Korea and Japan revealed, the economic value of multifunctionality from paddy rice farming reached to 70∼150% of total annual rice production cost of each country, and would have been even higher, had other functions been included. Therefore, interdisciplinary and international researches within the monsoon Asian countries are necessary to develop counter-measure logics against the Western dry land farming countries, emphasizing the efforts to disseminate worldwide the significance and recognition of the multifunctionality of paddy rice farming under the Asian monsoon climate.

In the past few decades, many catastrophic natural disasters have occurred not only in Japan and Korea, but also in other countries in the world, forcing people to live in unfamiliar houses for middle or long range evacuation periods. Residents staying in temporary houses exhibit insomnia, resulting in severe fatigue. In order to investigate sleeping state of residents, measuring vital signals has been performed at examination room of a hospital. To avoid the restriction of residents' movement, we propose to use smartphone and/or wearable devices with various high performance sensors like measuring heart beat rate. We clarify the availability and usefulness of those devices as support for analyzing daily sleeping state of residents.

Predictive maintenance is not an unfamiliar concept because it has been used to predict the failures of electrical equipment such as transformers, motors and so on. By thoroughly monitoring the status of individual equipment and tracing how the various characteristics change over time, we can be aware of its exact condition and prevent the impending failure by taking appropriate actions. In this paper, I will extend the concept of predictive maintenance for individual electrical equipment to the power distribution system and show how to use the data obtained from power quality monitors to improve the power system.

Home appliance manufacturers have recently been trying to provide smart products capable of various Internet services. For example, one health care manufacturer provides a Wi-Fi-capable scale. Once users register their information with the manufacturer's server, their weight and body fat records are automatically uploaded to the server whenever they measure their weight. The users can then watch and check their weight log easily using a smart device, such as a smartphone or tablet. One of the biggest problems, however, is that the initial configuration of the appliances and the user registration process may be quite complicated to typical users who are unfamiliar with such IT devices. This paper proposes an autoconfiguration system structure and protocol for Internet-capable home appliances, which supports the initial configuration and remote maintenance service of the device with only little user effort. Manufacturers can develop their own information appliances and provide differentiated services using the proposed system and protocol.

The recent growth of the robot technology has made robots be popular and provides people with many opportunities to apply various robots. But most robots are controlled by its unique program, users feel hard and unfamiliar with robot. Therefore we need to find ways to make user feel comfortable and familiar with the usage of robot. First we will analyze how the user interacts with the robot. Next we will discuss a standard human-robot interface provide more usability with that analysis. In this paper, 10 degree of the Level Of Autonomy(LOA) are proposed. It is evaluated that what interface components and designs are proper to each LOA. Finally we suggest a way to design the standard human-robot interface for remote controlleds robot through handheld devices like the Personal Digital Assistant(PDA) and smart phone.

The blockchain is still new and unfamiliar. But blockchain appears to shake an entire technology innovation system. Blockchain is rapidly drawing attention in that it will be able to fundamentally revolutionize industry ecosystem. While cryptocurrency transactions and market capitalization have been popular in mass media, several platform operators in non-cryptocurrency areas such as jewelry, social networks, and entertainment, are also moving to introduce blockchain technology in full swing. In this brief note, we intend to present integrated theoretical strands to summarize various prospects for blockchain technology. Further, we want to provide a reflection as to whether this new technology gives opportunities, challenges, or risks to future society. Particularly, we point out one of its alternative and promising adoption that gives way to new forms of decentralized and autonomous organizations (DAOs).

Biopsy is a critical method for disease diagnosis and treatment planning. It can be applied from simple inflammatory lesions to malignant tumors. But many general dental practitioners are unfamiliar with the basic knowledge and skills required for biopsy. Moreover, biopsy indications and contraindications for certain diseases may differ depending on the type of dental practice environment and the specialty of the dentist. Biopsy education can increase the choices a dentist has during disease diagnosis. Here we will discuss details on biopsy needed to the general dentist.

Cities in Indonesia include diverse scattered industrial centers comprising industries that can sustain the existing economic pace. For industrial data collection, the city government still relies on census that consumes extensive time and money. The public are unfamiliar with industries owing to their lack of industry information; therefore, the market share is not optimal. In addition, the opportunity to procure investors for business development is limited. A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computer system that can record, store, write, analyze, and display geographical data. Using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, GIS was developed on a website platform to provide information on industry profiles, types of production, investment values, industry maps, and industrial locations in each village and sub-district to a wider community. The RAD method was chosen compared to the waterfall method because it could accelerate website development process.

The study of prematurity stereotyping is important because the optimal development of premature infants may be threatened by the operation of the stereotape. The study was conducted in which mothers were asked to rate unfamiliar infants shown on videotapes. The infants were described as either full term or premature and as either male or female. Each mother was asked to rate the infant on 23,7-point adjective scales(S-KISS) and to answer several other questionnaires(LOT, PSI). In the study, infants labeled premature were rated more negatively than were infants labeled full term, but infants labeled male and female were rated similarly. The behavioral implications for child rearing as a result of this "prematurity stereotyping" were considered. Correlational analyses revealed significant relationships between prematurity stereotyping and parenting stress, optinism and parenting stress. Optimism effects parenting stress.

In this experiment we emphasized the cooperative small group learning and the members of my group worked together to succeed and communicate their mathematics ideas freely. The researcher(teacher) became an observer and facilitator of small group interaction, paying attention to the ongoing learning process, Sometimes the researcher suggested some investigation approach(or discovery)being written by computer software or papers. In this experiment we provided 6 activities as follows : (1) changing the conditions in given problem. (2) operating the meaningful heuristics with the problem sets. (3) creating the problem situations related to understanding (4) creating the Modeling situations. (5) creating the problem related to combinatorial thinking in real world. (6) posing some real problem from real world. we could observed several conjectures First, Attitude and chility to interpret the problem setting is highly important to pose the problem effectively. Second, Generating the understanding can be a great tool to pose the problem effectively. Third, Sometimes inquiry approach represented by software or programmed book could be some motivation to enhance the posing activities. Forth, The various posing activities relate to one concept could give the students some opportunity to be adaptable and flexible in the their approach to unfamiliar problem sets.
