건강과학을 전공하는 대학생의 스트레스와 대인관계 유능감이 건강증진행위에 미치는 영향 (Stress, Interpersonal Competence and Health Promotion Behavior of Health Allied Undergraduate Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine stress, interpersonal competence, health promotion behavior and factors influencing health-promoting behavior of undergraduate students majoring on a health-related degree program in Korea. Methods: Descriptive correlational study was utilized. The subjects were 269 college students in Gyeongi Province. Data were collected from November to December, 2014. Stress, interpersonal competence and health promotion behavior were measured using structured questionnaires. SAS 9.3 program was used for data analysis. Results: Stress and health promotion behavior were low, while interpersonal competence levels of students were moderate. Correlation between stress and health promoting behavior (r=-.16, p=.002) and interpersonal competence and health promoting behavior (r=.46, p<.001) was statistically significant. Factors influencing health promotion behavior were found to be stress(2.4%), interpersonal competence(21.7%), religion(1.7%) and academic achievement(1.5%). Interpersonal competence was the most influencing predictor for the health-promoting behaviors of undergraduate students majoring in health related programs. Conclusion: We suggest development of intervention programs for enhancement of interpersonal competence for college students in order to improve their health-promoting behaviors.

보건계열 학부생의 대학생활 스트레스, 우울 취약성 및 스마트폰 과다사용의 관련성 (The relationship between the stress in college life, vulnerability to depression, and smartphone overuse among undergraduate students majoring in public health)

  • purpose: This study aims to understand the relationship between stress in college life, vulnerability to depression, and smartphone overuse among undergraduate students majoring in public health. Methods: The subjects of the study were 320 students who were selected through convenience sampling from the department of emergency medical technology, physical therapy, and public health and administration attending G University in Gwangju. The study was carried out from October 22 to 26, 2012. For final analysis, 266 copies were used. Statistical analysis was done using SPSS WIN 12.0. Results: Excessive use of smartphones had a negative effect on stress in college life and vulnerability to depression. The stress of college life had an effect on students' sense of value, their friends of the same sex, and job. Depressive vulnerability had an effect on a students' dependency. Conclusion: For the prevention of smartphone overuse, programs to prevent college life stress and vulnerability to depression should be developed. Counselling programs for the groups should be made available to the students.

  • 본 연구는 전문대학 보건계열 학부생을 대상으로 진로준비행동에 미치는 요인을 파악하여, 진로준비행동에 긍정적 영향을 줄 수 있는 취업지도 프로그램을 개발하는데 기초자료를 제공하고자 시행하였다. 연구대상자는 $J^1$도, $J^2$도, G광역시에 소재한 전문대학 보건계열 학부생을 임의선정하고 편의표집 한 556명으로 하였다. 조사기간은 2015 년 9월 7일부터 9일까지 자기기입식의 구조화된 설문지를 이용한 조사를 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 14.0 for Window 프로그램을 사용하여 최종 510부를 분석하였다. 본 연구결과, 전문대학 보건계열 학부생이 지각하는 진로장벽이 진로준비행동에 부적(-) 영향을 미쳤다. 그러므로, 보건계열 학부생의 긍정적인 진로준비행동을 유도하기 위한 체계적이고, 현실적인 진로상담 및 진로교육 프로그램이 개발되고, 그 효과를 확인하는 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이다.

Changes in satisfaction and perceptions of employment decisions after clinical training among physiotherapy students

  • Purpose: To investigate the satisfaction of students majoring in physiotherapy and to confirm a change of perception on employment decisions after clinical training. Methods: Structured questionnaires were distributed to 500 undergraduate physiotherapy students in 2014. Data from 462 respondents were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney, Kruskal-Wallis, Wilcoxon's signed-rank, stepwise regression, and independent samples t tests. Design: Cross-section study Results: The satisfaction and perceptions of employment decision increased post-clinical training among physiotherapy students who hoped to find employment. After clinical training, the desired employment venues also changed: fewer students desired to work in rehabilitation centers and secondary hospitals, and more desired to work in university hospitals, general hospitals, public welfare centers, and the industrial company health facilities. There were changes in the preferred fields of those who hoped to find employment in the field, as well. There was decreased interest in clinical electrophysiology, sports, and women's health, and increased interest in neurology, orthopedics, and pediatrics. Conclusion: The results of this study confirmed that clinical training changes student' employment decisions and affects their desire to enter specific fields.

보건의료행정 전공 대학생의 직업가치에 영향을 미치는 대학생활적응 요인 (College Life Adjustment Factors Affecting the Work Values of Public Health Major Student)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 보건의료행정 전공 학생들이 인식하는 직업가치와 대학생활 적응과의 관계를 살펴보고, 직업가치를 높이기 위한 대학생활적응 요인들을 파악하여 진로지도의 효과적인 개입 방안에 대한 기초자료를 제공하는데 있다. 경기도에 소재한 보건의료행정과 362명과 공학계열 168명 대학생을 대상으로 조사하였고, t-test, 상관관계, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생들이 인식하는 직업 가치 중 내적가치는 대학생활적응 요인 모두와 정의 상관관계를 나타내었으나 외적가치는 교수와 학생의 상호 작용 관계에서 부의 상관관계로 나타났다. 둘째, 내적가치에 영향을 미치는 대학생활적응 요인은 사회적 통합, 교수와의 상호작용, 학교지원 서비스 기대로 나타났다. 셋째, 외적가치에 영향을 미치는 대학생활적응 요인은 진로정체성, 가정지원, 대학만족도로 나타났다. 본 연구는 전공에 따라 직업가치에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 확인하였고, 진로교육 및 지도의 필요성을 제시하였다.

물리치료학과 학생들의 노인의 신체적, 심리적, 사회적 측면에 대한 지식 조사 (Study on Knowledge of the Elderly's Physical, Psychological and Social Aspects among College Students in Physical Therapy)

  • PURPOSE: The purpose of this study is to develop medical services for the elderly and qualitatively enhance physical therapy for them by analyzing korean students' knowledge of the elderly. METHODS: A total of 1027 male/female undergraduate students majoring in physical therapy were selected to examine the knowledge of the elderly. The knowledge of physical, psychological, and social aspects were investigated and measured by FAQ I of palmore (1988) and a scale developed by Yunjin et al. (1982). T-test, One-way-ANOVA and Scheff test were used. RESULTS: The percentage of the students who correctly answered the questions on the elderly was 53.6%. In particular, the higher error rates were seen in the social (56.9%) and psychological (57.6%) aspects compared in the physical (33.7%) aspects. Those who answered the questions correctly were over 30s (63.69%, p=0.000), seniors (57%, p=0.000)and grown in cities (53.91%, p=0.001). In addition, students who took lessons on the elderly (57.71%, p=0.032)and had experiences in voluntary services (54.09%, p=0.023) were significantly higher in answering the questions correctly. CONCLUSION: When students learned about the elderly, social and psychological aspects should be reinforced. The knowledge levels of the elderly can be elevated though voluntary services. It is thought that a follow-up study would be continuously neede to improve physical therapists' knowledge on the elderly and quality of available services.
