  • This paper deals with a subject for implementation of L+ayer 1 and Layer 2(LAPD) of ISDN user-network interface on the basis of CCITT recommandation I.411, I.412, I.441 (Q.921), I.450(Q.930) and I.451 (Q.931) for ultrasonic image transfer. For the implementa tion of LAPD protocol of ISDN in this study. PC-CARD based hardware(TA :Terminal Adopt) is proposed and operating system (PC-XINU) supporting the Multiprocessing is transplanted to it. As the Service Access Point(SAP) is accessed by using the port of XINU and Layers which consist of transmitting and receiving part are independantly processed for each other in this proposed system. It can be easy and flexible to implement LAPD protocol for the message transfer.

  • The object detection capabilities of ultrasonic imaging systems are limited by the ability of the detection process to distinguish the resolved object signals from backscattered speckle noise. It has been shown that the phase component of the Fourier transform of the speckle noise is random. Based on this property. we propose a new algorithm for distinguishing between speckle and specular targets. The proposed algorithm is implemented by taking the Fourier transform of the received signal, low-pass filtering the phase, and taking the inverse Fourier transform of the filtered phase to enhance specular reflectors and reduce speckle in the image. Simulations and experiments using phantoms confirm the algorithm yielding significant reduction of speckle noise.

초음파 현미경 시스템에 의한 B-스캔 영상처리 기술 (B-Scan Image Processing Technique by Using Ultrasonic Microscope System)

  • In this paper, ultrasonic microscope system has been constructed with the small aperturre acoustic lens and the angle controller, and the new type of B-scanultransonic imaging has been analyzed. The system with small aperture lens was used to detect flaw existing within the thick specimen and its resolution was in the range of one wavelength at interior plane of sample. The anle controller was used to excited surface acoustic wave or shear wave. In order to obtain B-scan image of the flaw existig at interior of solids, shear wave has been excited and backscattering signals from the flaw have been processed. In experimental results, B-scan ultransonic images have been obtain from the flaws of varable shape and measured flaw size from the images has been in good agreement with practical size in the range of 10% error.

  • In this study, 3-D underwater object restoration using ultrasonic transducer fabricated with PZT-Polymer 1-3 type composite are presented. Using the acquired underwater object data 16${\times}$16 pixels. Modified SCL neural networks using the 16${\times}$16 low resolution image was used for underwater object restoration of 32${\times}$32 high resolution Image.

  • 물체컬러식별 임베디드시스템을 프로세서 기반으로 구현하고 물체를 식별 분류하는 무인물류관리 시스템을 제한한다. 임베디드시스템 구현은 초음파 센서를 이용하여 물체의 유무와 거리를 추출하고 USB CCD 카메라로부터 이진영상을 획득한다. 영상식별 알고리듬은 입력영상에 대해 컬러 검출한 패턴을 기준패턴과 비교 식별하여 지정된 랙에 이동 저장한다. 실험결과 무인화 창고관리 로봇기능으로 실용가능성을 제시하였다.

Texture Analysis for Classifying Normal Tissue, Benign and Malignant Tumors from Breast Ultrasound Image

  • Breast ultrasonic reading is critical as a primary screening test for the early diagnosis of breast cancer. However, breast ultrasound examinations show significant differences in diagnosis based on the difference in image quality according to the ultrasonic equipment, experience, and proficiency of the examiner. Accordingly, studies are being actively conducted to analyze the texture characteristics of normal breast tissue, positive tumors, and malignant tumors using breast ultrasonography and to use them for computer-assisted diagnosis. In this study, breast ultrasonography was conducted to select 247 ultrasound images of 71 normal breast tissues, 87 fibroadenomas among benign tumors, and 89 malignant tumors. The selected images were calculated using a statistical method with 21 feature parameters extracted using the gray level co-occurrence matrix algorithm, and classified as normal breast tissue, benign tumor, and malignancy. In addition, we proposed five feature parameters that are available for computer-aided diagnosis of breast cancer classification. The average classification rate for normal breast tissue, benign tumors, and malignant tumors, using this feature parameter, was 82.8%.

  • This paper is to aim the microdefect evaluation of If package into a quantitative from NDI's image processing of ultrasonic wave. (1) Automatically repeated discrimination analysis method can be devided in the category of all kind of defects on IC package, and also can be possible to have a sampling of partial delamination. (2) It is possible that the information of edge section in silicon chip surrounding can be extractor by the partial image processing of IC package. Also, the crack detection is possible between the resin part and lead frame.

  • 소노루미네센스를 이용한 음향가시화법에 관한 연구가 많이 수행되었음에도 불구히필 그 응용사례를 찾기 힘든 것은 소노루미네센스 현상이 임계음압 이상에서만 나타난다는 단점 때문이다. 최근 개발된 고감도 디지털 카메라는 큰 메모리 용량과 높은 해상도를 이용하여 육안으로 관측하기 힘든 미약한 빛의 영상에 대해서도 그 디지털 데이터를 취득할 수 있게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 방사음압에 대한 소노루미네센스 현상의 발광 강도 변화를 조사하여 이 결과로부터 방사음압에 따른 강도변화를 선형화시키는 역함수의 형태를 구하였다 이 역함수의 형태로부터 매칭함수의 형태를 예측할 수 있었고 이를 소노루미네센스 현상으로부터 얻어진 디지털 영상데이터에 적용한 결과 영상데이터의 히스토그램의 분포를 적절히 제어하여 비교적 약한 음향강도에 의해 생성되는 소노루미네센스의 영상을 개선시킬 수 있었다.

초음파 CT에서의 굴절 및 위상 상쇄 효과의 영향과 그 보정법 (In fluency on Refraction and Phase Cancellation Effect in Ultrasonic CT and its Correction)

  • 초음파 CT는 tissue characterization을 위해 현재 유용한 기법으로 기시되고 있다. 그러나 이에 의해 재구성된 음속분포 및 감쇠·정교 분제는 초음파 빔의 반사, 굴절, 위상 상쇄 효과 등의 화상 열하요각으로 인해 그 단력상의 정량성 평가에 문제점이 존재한다. 이에, 본 논문은 먼저 초음파 CT 화상의 정량적 평가를 위해 개발한 한천(Agar) gel 팬텀을 이용하여 감표 정수 분포 화상 열하 요인을 검토했다. 그 결과, 팬텀 중앙부에서의 재구성 감쇠정교는, 주위매휴(식단수)영 음속차가 25m1s일 때, 실제치보다 약 0.6dB/cm 정도 작게 나타났다. 다음, 이의 보정법으로 수신용 마이크로프로브 어레이법에 대한 계산기 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통해 그 유효성을 검토하고, 양호한 결과가 얻어짐을 밟혔다. Although ultrasonic CT is one of the useful techniques for tissue characterization, the reconstructed images, such as the velocity distribution and attenuation constant distribution, are degraded by reflection and refraction of ultrasonic beam. This paper studied the degradation effects on attenuation images using agar gel phantoms which were developed to evaluate ultrasonic CT. We found that the reconstructed attenuation constants at the center of the phantoms were less than the actual values by 0.6 dB/cm when phantom velocity differs by 25 m/s from surrounding saline. We also studied a correction method for refraction and phase cancellation effects, where the correction was made using the maximum value in the received subdata, as obtained by sub-arraying microprobes located at each sampling point. Using this method, we could obtain an improvement in the reconstructed image by the correction on the attenuation effect.
