HYERS-ULAM STABILITY OF AN ADDITIVE (ρ1, ρ2)-FUNCTIONAL INEQUALITY IN BANACH SPACES

  • In this paper, we introduce and solve the following additive (${\rho}_1,{\rho}_2$)-functional inequality (0.1) $${\parallel}f(x+y+z)-f(x)-f(y)-f(z){\parallel}{\leq}{\parallel}{\rho}_1(f(x+z)-f(x)-f(z)){\parallel}+{\parallel}{\rho}_2(f(y+z)-f(y)-f(z)){\parallel}$$, where ${\rho}_1$ and ${\rho}_2$ are fixed nonzero complex numbers with ${\mid}{\rho}_1{\mid}+{\mid}{\rho}_2{\mid}$ < 2. Using the fixed point method and the direct method, we prove the Hyers-Ulam stability of the additive (${\rho}_1,{\rho}_2$)-functional inequality (0.1) in complex Banach spaces.

Ulam Stability Generalizations of 4th- Order Ternary Derivations Associated to a Jmrassias Quartic Functional Equation on Fréchet Algebras

  • Let $\mathcal{A}$ be a Banach ternary algebra over a scalar field R or C and $\mathcal{X}$ be a ternary Banach $\mathcal{A}$-module. A quartic mapping $D\;:\;(\mathcal{A},[\;]_{\mathcal{A}}){\rightarrow}(\mathcal{X},[\;]_{\mathcal{X}})$ is called a $4^{th}$- order ternary derivation if $D([x,y,z])=[D(x),y^4,z^4]+[x^4,D(y),z^4]+[x^4,y^4,D(z)]$ for all $x,y,z{\in}\mathcal{A}$. In this paper, we prove Ulam stability generalizations of $4^{th}$- order ternary derivations associated to the following JMRassias quartic functional equation on fr$\acute{e}$che algebras: $$f(kx+y)+f(kx-y)=k^2[f(x+y)+f(x-y)]+2k^2(k^2-1)f(x)-2(k^2-1)f(y)$$.

  • In this paper, using an efficient change of variables we refine the Hyers-Ulam stability of the alternative Jensen functional equations of J. M. Rassias and M. J. Rassias and obtain much better bounds and remove some unnecessary conditions imposed in the previous result. Also, viewing the fundamentals of what our method works, we establish an abstract version of the result and consider the functional equations defined in restricted domains of a group and prove their stabilities.

  • In this paper, we investigate the new quadratic type functional equation f(2x + y) - f(x + 2y) = 3f(x) - 3f(y) and prove the stablility of this equation in the spirit of Hyers, Ulam, Rassias and G$\breve{a}$vruţa.

  • In this paper, we investigate the following functional inequality $${\parallel}f(\frac{x\;+\;y}{2}\;+\;z)\;+\;f(\frac{x\;+\;y}{2}\;+\;y)\;+\;f(\frac{y\;+\;z}{2}\;+\;x){\parallel\;\leq\;\parallel}2f(x\;+\;y\;+\;z)\parallel$$ in Banach modules over a $C^*$-algebra, and prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of linear mappings in Banach modules over a $C^*$-algebra.

  • In this paper, we solve the additive functional inequality $${\parallel}f(x)+f(y)+f(z){\parallel}{\leq}{\parallel}{\rho}f(s(x+y+z)){\parallel}$$, where s is a nonzero real number and ${\rho}$ is a real number with ${\mid}{\rho}{\mid}$ < 3. Moreover, we prove the Hyers-Ulam stability of the above additive functional inequality in Banach spaces.
