WUSB over IEEE 802.15.6 WBAN 프로토콜의 시각 동기 구조 설계 (Design of Time Synchronization Mechanism of Wireless USB over IEEE 802.15.6)

  • 웨어러블 컴퓨터 시스템은 WiMedia PHY/MAC 기술과 결합된 USB 기술로 WUSB (wireless universal serial bus) 기술을 사용하여 구성할 수 있다. 본 논문은 U-Health 기능을 지원하는 무선 웨어러블 컴퓨터시스템을 구성하기 위해 WUSB기술과 IEEE 802.15.6 WBAN (wireless body area networks) 기술을 결합한 통신시스템 구조에 초점을 맞추었다. 그리고 IEEE 802.15.6 기반 WUSB 통신 구조에서 시각동기 통신 기술을 제안하였다. 제안하는 시각동기 구조는 WBAN Polling Access 구조를 활용하고 Time Stamp를 사용한 시각동기 미들웨어를 결합한다. 성능 평가에서는 WBAN Polling Access를 적용한 시각동기 성능 및 시각동기 미들웨어를 추가한 성능을 비교분석하여, WUSB over IEEE 802.15.6 통신구조에서 제안한 시각동기 방식의 효율성을 평가하였다.

한국과 미국의 패션마케팅 교육의 성공요인에 관한 비교 연구(제2보) (A Comparative Analysis of Fashion Marketing Education between Korea and USA(Part II))

  • This empirical research aimed to identify and compare key success factors in fashion marketing education in Korea as well as those in U.S.A. Employing a couple of statistical methods (multiple regression and factor analysis) on survey data, it was found that the decisive factors in the fashion marketing education differed between two countries. mainly attributable to the difference of goals in the education or to the job orientation of students. Surprisingly it was also found that no educational methods significantly affected the educational performance in both countries, implying that the so called constructivistic ways of leaching/learning was not so effective as expected. In order to improve educational performance in Korea, as far as fashion marketing is concerned, universities needed to increase the class-hours for the course, to provide more supportive educational environment, and to let the instructors used computer/internet facilities for more diverse purposes than now.

  • 가상현실은 시·공간을 초월하는 경험이 가능하며 아이들의 몰입감과 학습효과를 높일 수 있어 교육 도구로서의 가치를 인정받고 있다. 정부는 VR 기기를 전국의 초등학교에 보급하고 있지만, 양질의 교육용 실감형 콘텐츠는 부족한 상황이다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 가상현실 기술을 활용한 국악기 연주 체험 프로그램을 제안하였다. Unity의 물리 엔진과 Oculus의 햅틱 기능을 이용하여 전통 국악기 중 편경을 실감 나게 연주할 수 있도록 가상환경을 구현하였다. 리듬 게임 형식을 적용하여 아이들의 흥미 또한 유발하였다. 이 프로그램을 통해 국악기를 직접 연주하며 해당 국악기에 대한 지식을 자연스럽게 습득할 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

간호학사 편입학제도의 교과과정 비교분석 (Comparative analysis of RN-BSN Program in Korea and U. S. A.)

  • In response of the increasing demand for professional degree in nursing, some university in Korea offers RN-BSN program for R. N. from diploma in nursing. However, RN-BSN program in Korea is in formative period. Therefore, the purpose of this survey study is for the comparative analysis of RN-BSN curriculum in Korea and U.S.A. In this study, subjects consisted of 18 department of nursing in university and 5 RN-BSN programs in Korea and 18 department of nursing in university and 12 RN-BSN programs in U.S.A. For earn the degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing, the student earns 134 of mean credits in U.S.A., whereas 150.3 of mean credits in Korea. The mean credit for clinical pratice is 30.1 in U.S.A., whereas 23.9 in Korea. Students are assigned to individually planned clinical experiences under the direction of a preceptor in U.S.A. In RN-BSN program, total mean credits through lecture and clinical practice for earn the degree of BSN is 35.5(lecture : 27.7, practice ; 7.8)in U.S.A., whereas,48.1 (lecture;42.1, practice;6.0) in Korea. RN-BSN program can be taken on a full-or-part time basis in U.S.A., whereas didn't in Korea. Especially, emphasis is place on the advanced nursing practicum that focus on the role of the professional nurse in providing health care to individuals, families, and groups in community setting in U.S.A. 27.7 of mean credits was earned through lecture in U.S.A., whereas 42.1 of mean credits in Korea. It means that RN-BSN program in Korea is the lesser development in teaching method and appraisal method than in U.S.A. Students of RN-BSN program in U.S.A. can earns credit through CLEP, NLN achievement test, portfolio review session etc as well as lecture. Therefore, the authors suggests some recommendations for the development of curriculum of RN-BSN program in Korea based on comparative analysis of RN-BSN curricula in U.S.A. and Korea. 1. The curriculum of RN-BSN Program in nursing was required to do some alterations. Nursing care, today, is complex and ever changing. According to change of public need, RN-BSN curriculum intensified primary care program in community setting, geriatric nursing, marketing skill, computer language. 2. The various and new methods of earning credit should be developed. That is, the students will earn credits through the transfer of previous nursing college credits, accredited examination of university, advanced placement examination, portfolio review session, case study, report, self-directed learning and so on. Flexible teaching place should ile offered. 3. Flexible teaching place should be offered. The RN-BSN curriculum should accommodate each RN student's geographical needs and school/work schedule. Therefore, the university should search a variety of teaching places and the RN students can obtain their degrees comfortably throughout the teaching place such as lecture room inside the health care agency and establishment of the branch school in each student's residence area. 4. The RN-BSN program should offer a long distance education to place-bound RN student in many parts of Korea. That is, from the main office of university, the RN-BSN courses are delivered to many areas by Internet, EdNet (satellite telecommunication) and other non-traditional methods. 5. For allowing RN student to take nursing courses, program length should be various, depending upon the student's study/work schedule. That is, the various term systems such as semester, three terms, quarter systems and the student's status like full time or part time should be considered. Therefore, the student can take advantage of the many other educational and professional opportunities, making them available during the school year.

대학 수학교육 연구의 동향과 과제 (Research Trends and Tasks in Collegiate Mathematics Education)

  • In this paper, we present a review of research perspectives and investigations in collegiate mathematics education from the four decades of development in the journal published by Korea Society of Mathematical Education. Research of mathematics education at the tertiary level, which had been a minor area in mathematics education, has made a significant development in the last decade in Europe md U.S.A. In this context, international journals for research in mathematics education were selected to comparatively examine and identify research trends and tasks in collegiate mathematics education. Based on the analysis of domestic at international journals, we present recommendations for further the development of Korean collegiate mathematics education research. First it is necessary to diversify the topics of educational research. Korean research of mathematics education at the tertiary level has been limited to the issues of curriculum developments, teacher education and computer technology. It is necessary to pursue more various topics such as conceptual development mathematical attitude and belief gender, socio-cultural aspect of teaching and teaming mathematics. Second, it is necessary to apply research methods for systematic investigations. It is important to note that international research of mathematics education introduces variety of research methods such as observation, interview, and survey in order to develop grounded theory of mathematics education. We end with pedagogical implications of the analyses presented and general conclusions concerning the perspectives for the future in collegiate mathematics education.

해외 주요국의 현황 분석에 기초한 우리나라 컴퓨터교육의 교육과정 방향 (A Study on Curriculum Guidelines for Computer Education based on the analysis of Status Quo in IT Advanced Countries)

  • 우리나라 컴퓨터교육이 성공적으로 추진되기 위해서는 어떤 문제들이 해결되어야 하는지, 또 이러한 문제 해결에 도움이 되기 위해서는 학교 교육과정이 어떻게 구성되어야 하는지를 살펴보기 위하여 해외 주요 15개국의 컴퓨터교육현황과 관련 교육과정을 분석해 보았다. 해외 주요국의 컴퓨터교육은 대체로 국가적, 학교적, 개인적 수준에서 차별화된 전략으로 진행되고 있었으며 IT 강국으로서의 위상을 드높이기 위한 다각적인 노력이 국가의 전폭적인 관심과 지원하에 추진되고 있었다. 우리나라의 경우에도 이러한 해외 주요국이 실천하고 있는 전략을 참고하여, 컴퓨터교육의 목표 및 비전의 명확화, 컴퓨터 교육과정의 차별화 및 특성화, 이를 통한 컴퓨터관련 전문 인력의 양성, 일상생활에서의 컴퓨터 활용 촉진, 체계적인 컴퓨터소양교육 프로그램의 개발, 컴퓨터 활용 마인드의 확산, 컴퓨터교육 인프라 구축 및 체계적 지원, 법 제도 정책적 지원 등에 관심을 기울일 필요가 있음을 확인하였다. 중장기적으로는 컴퓨터교육의 목표에 따라 각 목표에 준하는 차별적 접근이 가능도록 교육과정이 구성되어야 할 것이다. 즉 정보격차해소의 차원에서 컴퓨터소양이 필요한 경우에는 소양교육이, 좀 더 나아가 기본소양을 갖춘 후 자신의 필요에 따라 자유로운 활용을 목적으로 하는 경우에는 컴퓨터 활용 교육이, 컴퓨터 전문가로 성장할 의지가 있고 컴퓨터관련 분야에 특기적성이 있거나 영재성을 보이는 경우, 이들을 위한 특별 컴퓨터전문교육이 차별적으로 제공될 필요가 있겠다.

Discourse Socialization in Synchronous Computer-Mediated Communication

  • This paper, based on a qualitative ethnographic study among college of education students, examines the online interactional processes surrounding academic discourse socialization. Data for this paper come from a larger study of an academic classroom community of graduate students and their instructor. In this study, I looked into the ways computer-mediated communication (CMC) contexts factor into graduate students' academic literacy experience in a graduate classroom, therein enculturating them into their new academic community. I focus on cases of nonnative graduate students in a content course in the department of educational psychology at a large southwestern university in the U.S. I explore the agency of the focal participants in terms of the roles they played in the classroom discourse highlighting the dialectical and interactional perspective of academic discourse socialization. This paper focused on the construction of varied participant roles of the focal students. It further examines student reactions and responses to these constructions during synchronous CMC activity.

  • Integrating computer-aided design with computer-aided fabrication and construction will fundamentally redefine the relationship between design and construction. Rapid prototyping(RP) is evaluated as one of the integration method available but it has been regarded as very expensive and complex design evaluation tool and is only suitable for large mechanical design shops in automobile and aerospace industry. However current status of rapid prototyping is changing since the new generation of RP equipment, less expensive and more user-friendlier, now can be installed and use in design firms. Simultaneously increasing use of 3D CAAD software is also helping to use rapid prototyping widely. It is crucial to acknowledge rapid prototyping technologies are not only for avant-garde architect such as Frank O. Gehry but ordinary 90% architects, who can have benefit from fast and cost-effective technology. With its fast development and adaptation in architectural industry, it is quite necessary to include rapid prototyping education in regular CAAD courses either undergraduate or graduate level.

  • 동적 핵자기공명법에 대하여 toluene-$d_8$ 및 carbon tetrachloride 용매속에서의 $\alpha$-chlorobenzyl ethyl ether의 이온해리속도를 측정하였다. 먼저, 동적NMR spectra를 얻고 $J_{AB}, T_2,{\Delta}_{vAB}$ 값 등을 이용하여 computer simulation에 의한 이론spectra를 얻었는데 실측spectra와 매우 잘 일치하였으며, 이로부터 해리속도정수 k를 얻고 이 k의 Eyring plot에 의하여 기울기와 절편의 길이를 알고 이로부터 동력학적 parameter를 얻었다. 이온 해리의 난역도는 용매의 극성에 의존하였으며 활성화 enthalpy는 toluene-$d_8$ 용매중에서 4.7kcal/mole 이었고 carbon tetrachloride 용매중에서 10.7kcal/mole 이었다. 활성화 entropy는 toluene-$d_8$ 용매중에서 -35.8 e.u. 이었고 carbon tetrachloride 용매중에서 -14.4 e.u. 이었다. $S_N$ mechanism의 초기단계로 볼 수 있는 이 이온 해리는 ${\Delta}H^{neq}$ 값이 작아도 비극성 비양자성용매중에서 이온해리가 용역함을 알았으며 작은 ${\Delta}H^{neq}$에 비하여 ${\Delta}S^{neq}$는 음의 큰 값을 가졌음은 주목할 필요가 있다.

반도체 공정용 저온 열처리로의 고효율 냉각시스템 설계에 관한 연구 (Study on Design of high Efficient Cooling System for Low Temperature Furnace in Semiconductor Processing)

  • According to recent changes in industry for semiconductor devices, a low-temperature treatment has become a necessity. These changes relate to size refinement and the development of new materials. While variation in cooling efficiency does not affect the yield when using a high-temperature treatment, uniform cooling efficiency is necessary avoid "inconsistencies/bends" in low temperature treatments. However it is difficult to increase temperature stabilization in low temperature treatments. In this paper, using CFD (Computer Fluid Dynamics), we analyze and manipulate the design and input of the low-temperature system to attempt to control for temperature variations within the quartz tube, of which airflow appears to be a predominant factor. This simulation includes variable inputs such as airflow rate, head pressure, and design manipulations in the S.C.U. (Super Cooling Unit).
