  • We study the existence of nontrivial solutions of the Gradient type Dirichlet boundary value problem for elliptic systems of the form $-{\Delta}U(x)={\nabla}F(x,U(x)),x{\in}{\Omega}$, where ${\Omega}{\subset}R^N(N{\geq}1)$ is a bounded regular domain and U = (u, v) : ${\Omega}{\rightarrow}R^2$. To study the system we use the liking theorem on product space.

패션 제품 온라인 쇼핑 시 지각되는 위험과 구매 의도의 관계에 있어서 태도의 역할 (The Role of Attitude in the Relationship between Perceived Risk and Purchase Intention in the Context of Shopping Fashion Products Online)

  • This study is designed to examine differences in the well known relationship between risk perception and purchase intention when shopping fashion products Online. In addition, the role of attitude in the process was investigated. 155 Korean college students and 165 U.S. college students participated in the study. Structural equation modeling with risk factors(product delivery, transaction, service) as antecedents, purchase intention as the consequence, and attitude as the mediating variable were analyzed. Results indicated that, for Korean respondents, product delivery risk and transaction risk had significant indirect effect on purchase intention through attitude. Service risk had significant direct effect. For U.S. respondents, product delivery risk had both direct and indirect effect on purchase intention whereas transaction risk had only indirect effect. Service risk did not have significant influence on purchase intention.

  • Ceramide. a product of sphingomyelin hydrolysis, has been proposed as a lipid second messenger mediating antiproliferative activation. In this study, we examined the role of the cell cycle-related proteins in the ceramide-mediated growth suppression. Treatment of U-937 cells with C$_2$-ceramide(N-acetylsphingosine) resulted in growth suppression in a time- and concentration dependent manner. Ceramide induced concentration dependent dephosphorylation of retinoblastoma gene product (Rb). Rb remains hypophosphorylated in synchronized cells even after serum stimulation in the presence of ceramide. Ceramide decreased the expression of cyclin D$_1$ and cyclin E levels. These results suggest that antiproliferative effect of ceramide is associated with hypophosphorylation of Rb and decreased expression of cyclin D1 and cyclin E.

  • In this paper, we introduce a class of maximal functions along twisted surfaces in ℝn×ℝm of the form {(𝜙(|v|)u, 𝜑(|u|)v) : (u, v) ∈ ℝn×ℝm}. We prove Lp bounds when the kernels lie in the space Lq (𝕊n-1×𝕊m-1). As a consequence, we establish the Lp boundedness for such class of operators provided that the kernels are in L log L(𝕊n-1×𝕊m-1) or in the Block spaces B0,0q (𝕊n-1×𝕊m-1) (q > 1).

  • This paper examines critical successful facts related with the digital new product development with product innovation. For this, we have selected a Xcanvas time-machine TV of LG electronics and we have done case-study. We have performed in-depth interviews with engineers, team managers, marketers to get facts on the product development process and analyzed huge amount of data obtained from web-sites and related firms' materials. We have concluded that CSFs of Xcanvas time-machine TV are customer-centered product innovation, new perspective of considering technology and product, managing innovative team and motivation to team member.

  • Korean export of fashion products to the U.S. has fallen off sharply after 2001. Now, Korean fashion companies have to develop higher value-added business. In the U.S., Korean-American fashion companies are taking a primary role in up-stream of the fashion industry. To cut the edge over the U.S. fashion companies, one of the solutions could be to build the business relationship with Korean fashion companies which reflect the recent trend rapidly and have high quality production. On this study, we investigated the marketing strategies of Korean-American fashion companies to seek to start business with Korean fashion companies and make suggestions for Korean fashion companies who want to enter into the U.S. market effectively. To analyze current situation of Korean export to the U.S. and the U.S. fashion industry, we considered various kinds of statistic data, publications and studies. And we performed in-depth interviews with 9 Korean-American fashion companies in LA from $9^{th}$ to $21^{st}$ of July. The results are as follows. first, Korean fashion companies should aim for high-end market with the products of high quality and design. Second, there should be professional agents who manage Korean small-medium fashion companies and connect them with Korean-American fashion companies. Third, Korean fashion companies who want to enter into the retail market of the U.S. have to decide the target market clearly and plan strategic and differentiated merchandising. Fourth, Korean fashion companies can specialize in product developing service like proposing a product or a merchandising line as a package including designs, fabric swatches, trims, production information, etc.

미국 및 유럽 의료기기 품목분류 체계 분석을 통한 국내 의료기기 품목분류 개선 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Domestic Medical Device Product Classification through Analysis of Medical Device Classification System in the U.S. and Europe)

  • The purpose of this study is to derive medical devices with different management systems through comparison of domestic and overseas medical device product classification systems and to propose management conversion measures for the products. The definitions of medical devices were compared and the scope of medical devices defined by each country was confirmed through surveys of the Medical Device Act, Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetics Act (FD&C) in the U.S., and Medical Device Regulations (MDR) in Europe. Using the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety's regulations on medical device products and grades, 21 CFR part 860-892 and product code classification files in U.S., and EMDN in Europe as basic data to compare medical device products and derive medical devices with different management systems. As a result of comparing the definition and product classification systems of medical devices in Korea, the U.S. and Europe, medical device accessories, prosthetic limbs and aids among assistive devices for persons with disabilities, drugs, quasi-drugs and industrial products that are not managed by medical devices in Korea are managed as medical devices in the U.S. and Europe. This study aims to improve public health by securing systematic product safety management and essential performance under medical device regulations. Management within a single medical device system will increase the efficiency of licensing work of domestic medical device manufacturers and related organizations. It is also expected to help advance the system according to the international harmony of the item classification system and enhance smooth import and export competitiveness.

NEARLY KAEHLERIAN PRODUCT MANIFOLDS OF TWO ALMOST CONTACT METRIC MANIFOLDS

  • It is well-known that the most interesting non-integrable almost Hermitian manifold are the nearly Kaehlerian manifolds ([2] and [3]), and that there exists a complex but not a Kaehlerian structure on Riemannian product manifolds of two normal contact manifolds [4]. The purpose of the present paper is to study nearly Kaehlerian product manifolds of two almost contact metric manifolds and investigate the geometrical structures of these manifolds. Unless otherwise stated, we shall always assume that manifolds and quantities are differentiable of class $C^{\infty}$. In Paragraph 1, we give brief discussions of almost contact metric manifolds and their Riemannian product manifolds. In paragraph 2, we investigate the perfect conditions for Riemannian product manifolds of two almost contact metric manifolds to be nearly Kaehlerian and the non-existence of a nearly Kaehlerian product manifold of contact metric manifolds. Paragraph 3 will be devoted to a proof of the following; A conformally flat compact nearly Kaehlerian product manifold of two almost contact metric manifolds is isomatric to a Riemannian product manifold of a complex projective space and a flat Kaehlerian manifold..

  • A research shows that a new category of software, Collaborative Product Commerce (CPC), is now emerging, allowing discrete manufacturers to once again distinguish themselves on their products and innovations. CPC permits discrete manufacturers to significantly improve the core processes around the management functions associated with the complete product life cycle that are the basis of their existence. As a way to develop computing tools of CPC to support a design process of product, a web-based design supporting system was constructed in the paper. The system consists of C-Product system and Net Meeting Communication system to improve communications between designers and persons for verification of design. The product data files of C-Product system were designed by Pro/Engineer and converted to 3D Viewer format for being used in the web browser. Also, Net Meeting Communication system and Database were developed using ASP and Microsoft SQL 2000 Server to share diverse files that can be utilized to design on the web in real time.

특허 포트폴리오 구성과 신제품 출시 성과: 특허 재정비 활동의 조절효과를 중심으로 (Patent Portfolio Composition and New Product Introduction: The Moderating Role of Technological Resource Rearrangement)

  • In a rapidly changing technology environment, managing and rearranging the patent portfolios is one of the main sources of competitive advantage for firms. This study analyzes the effects of patent portfolio composition on new product introduction related to resource allocation. This study also looks at the moderating role of rearranging the patent portfolios on new product introduction. Our empirical analysis of the global pharmaceutical industry shows that firms with high-value patent portfolios exhibit a tendency to launch new products, and patent portfolio diversity shows a U-shaped relationship with new product introduction. In addition, the patent portfolio rearrangement positively moderates the relationship between patent portfolio diversity and new product introduction. The results are expected to provide implications for firms' patent portfolio composition and patent portfolio rearrangement related to innovation performance such as new product introduction.
