As the internet communication is prevalent in recent years, it becomes quite possible to monitor and control some mechanical plants from the remote place through the TCP/IP communication. Such a concept is expected to be applied to many industrial systems for easy maintenance and trouble shooting as well as various kinds of expensive test equipments for sharing. In this research, remote data monitoring and speed control for a DC-motor is implemented and tested through TCP/IP communication with embedded micro-controllers. It showed the possibility of reliable remote control system design utilizing the internet communication.

북제주 내연기관 발전기는 설비 노후로 인하여 경미한 고장이 점차 확대되고 기관 핵심 부품들의 손상이 증가하여 발전원가를 상승시키는 주요요인이 되고 있었다. 즉 정비 부품 교체 비용이 증가하고, 복구 시간이 장시간 소요되는 등 문제점을 안고 있었다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여, 기관의 핵심요소인 실린더와 베어링의 상태를 연속 감시하고, 고장을 미리 발견 조치할 수 있는 컴퓨터시스템에 대하여 논하고자 한다.

This paper outlines our approach and the underlying design principles aimed at the generation of a theory of coordination. Such theory would assist in designing new Multi-Agent Systems(MAS) and provide trouble-shooting tools for suboptimally functioning MAS. This paper also describes the decisions that have been made in this endeavor. We have been able to show via a simplified model that approach is feasible and can produce results.

미성형은 수지 점도가 높거나 유동경로가 너무 제한적이거나 혹은 용융 수지가 일찍 고화되어 금형내에 수지가 완전히 충전되지 않고 냉각 및 고화되는 현상을 말한다. 일반적으로 수지의 유동성이 부족하기 때문에 금형 전체에 수지가 미치지 못하여 일어난다고 생각되는 수가 많으나 반드시 그것만이 아니고 그 외에 여러 가지 원인이 있을 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 실제 현장에서 미성형이 발생한 제품을 대상으로 이를 해결하기 위해 여러 가지 공정조건을 바꾸어서 시뮬레이션을 여러번 반복해 봄으로써, 사출압력, 금형온도, 사출속도, 용융수지온도와 같은 공정조건들이 미성형에 미치는 영향을 각각 시뮬레이션을 통하여 고찰하여 보았다.

The Operational Deflection Shape designates the motion pattern by which a structure vibrates under a specific operating condition. Modal Analysis is usually tested under test bench, but Operational Deflection Shape can be measured directly under real operating condition. It provide useful information for trouble-shooting and aid understanding and evaluation of the absolute dynamic behaviour of a machine or component. In this paper, It is analysed Excavator Upper Frame using Operating Deflection Shape.

Multivariate data analysis tools were used to improve the understanding of the wet end chemistry and white water system of the Papermill at NorskeCanada Crofton Division. Specifically, the analysis was aimed at identifying what variables were contributing to increased retention aid use and wet end instability. Several models were developed using data sets with up to 88 process variables and over 3000 observations. It was found that increased retention aid use was driven primarily by PCC and TMP usage as well as the addition of Alaskan White Spruce to the TMP furnish.

이 연구에서는 공학에서 접하게 되는 문제의 유형인 설계와 고장해결에 있어서 문제해결 전략이 자아 조절 관련 변인들, 즉 계획하기, 자아 관리, 노력, 자아 효능감 등의 변인들이 어떠한 관계를 보이고 있는지 확인하고자 한다. 공과대학 학생 120명을 대상으로 문제해결 전략 검사와 자아 조절 성향 질문지를 실시하였다. 검사 결과를 이용하여 설계 및 고장해결 전략과 자아 조절 변인간의 상관 관계를 분석하고 설계 전략과 고장 해결 전략의 상, 하위 집단간 자아 조절 관련 변인들의 집단간 평균 비교를 실시한 결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 고장해결 문제에 대한 타당한 전략의 수는 자아 효능감과 계획하기와 정적 상관이 있으며, 설계 문제에 대한 타당한 전략의 수는 자아 관리, 계획하기, 노력과 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 자아 효능감만이 문제해결에 있어서 타당한 전략의 수와 직접적인 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

To develop domestic IGCC gasification technology, a gasification test bed with a capacity of 20 tons/day has been designed. The main components of the test bed designed are a coal pulverizing and feeding facility, a gasifier, a syngas cooler, a gas treatment unit, oxygen and nitrogen tanks, and flare stack. For wide applications to the development of advanced coal gasification technology, many special functions have been given to it such as syngas recirculation, char recirculation, and multiple stage gasification. The test bed will be used for testing the characteristics of various types of coals, deriving optimum conditions for efficient gasifier operation and trouble shooting for the Korea IGCC demonstration plant. It will also be applied as a useful tool to develop scale-up design technology of IGCC and proceed to commercialization.

Three dimensional numerical analysis of the oxygen and air were performed to investigate the combustion characteristics in a Corner-type pulverized coal boiler. With the actual operation data of the power plant, the distribution of velocity, gas temperature, $O^2$, $CO_2$, $H_2O$, $N_2$ as well as the particle tracking in the boiler were investigated. The predicted values at the outlet of furnace for the gas temperature and major species concentrations gave a good agreement with the designed values. The present analysis on combustion characteristics in a boiler would provide the useful information for the stable boiler operation and in trouble shooting boiler problem.

Printed circuit boards (PCB) replaced conventional wiring in most electronic equipment I, reducing the size and weight of electronic equipment while improving reliability, uniformity, precision and performance. PCB is used in all kinds of electronic products because they can be mass-produced with very high circuit density and also enable easier trouble-shooting. This paper presents the analyses of the patent information of Build-up PCB which is seen as the most promising solution, as its substrate supports multi-level packaging, thinner board profiles and smaller pitches.
