Improvement of the On-Current for the Symmetric Dual-Gate TFT Structure by Floating N+ Channel

  • We have simulated a symmetric dual-gate TFT which has triple floating n+ channel to improve the on-current of the dual-gate TFT. We achieved a low hole concentration at the source and channel junction causes the improvement the potential barrier so that we observed the reduction of the kink-effect. In this paper, we observed the reduction of the kink-effect compared with the conventional single-gate TFT and the improvement of the on-current compared with the conventional dual-gate TFT.

Effect of Natural Disasters on Local Economies: Forecasting Sales Tax Revenue after Hurricane Ike

  • One of the main objectives of this paper is to provide insight to understand the effect of natural disasters on local government finance. That is, to analyze local governments' sales tax revenues after Hurricane Ike. Three Texas cities are examined: League City, Pearland, and Sugarland. Based on data collected from the Texas Comptroller's Office and the US Census, we found local governments experience a short-term increase in sales tax revenues and a long-term decline after the hurricane strike the region. On average, a major hurricane has a two-year impact on local government economy. The findings are essential for practitioners because in order to have a prosperous recovery after natural disasters, public managers have to prepare financially for short term changes in their sales tax revenues.

  • The effect of mcirostructure on the electrical properties of yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) was analyzed by modeling layer arrangements and mixed phase structure. The YSZ thin films were deposited by RF magnetron sputtering using 30mol% YSZ and 8 mol% YSZ targets with yttrium pellets on porous alumina substrates. The structure, composition and electricla properties of the YSZ films were investigated as functions of sputtering conditons and layer arrangements by XRD, TEM, XPS and acimpedance spectroscopy. The results showed that the triple palyered YSZ films had highermicrohardness, lower compressive stress state and higher ionic conductivity by one order than single and double layered YSZ films. However, sputtered YSZ films have low conductivity compared to YSZ pellets or doctor bladed YSZ thin plates. These results were probably due to the influence of insulating alumina substrates, impractical for most stacking geometries and inductance induced by relatively long platinum, lead wire on YSZ conductivity.

자동차용 Adjust Plate Progressive 금형 개발 (Development of Adjust Plate Progressive Die)

  • A automatic production system was developed for high productivity and safety. The semi-progressive die was unfavorable for more productivity, safety, material extravagance and incongruent high-speed production. Developed progressive die is suitable for the high production and guarantee triple production by acceptance of three array type for automobile adjust plate. We adopt Pro-$Engineer{\circledr}$ for three dimensional computer aided design suitable for the disassembly and assembly evaluation. The conclusion of this study is as follow. First, press die parts solid modeling system is built by using Pro-$Engineer{\circledr}$ through this research and verified allowable tolerance and possibility of assembly and disassembly of parts. Therefore we can reduce die manufacturing time and cost. Second, We produce 1000 units pet hot coil 1ton by traditional method, but we can acomplish material saving effect about 12% as 120 units in case of new progressive die. Fourth, we acomplished manufacturing cost curtailment effect more than 20% in comparison with traditional method.

The Influence of SNS and Podcasts on the Political Participation of Korean Youth: A Case Study of the Candle Light Rallies and the 2017 Impeachment of the Korean President

  • This study investigates the influence of social network services (SNS) and political podcasts on youth participation in candlelight rallies leading up to the impeachment of the Korean president. It also examines the effect of SNS and podcasts on online participation through SNSs. It was found that engaging in political discussions with friends or parents and news media use, including TV and Internet newspapers, exerted a major positive influence on participation in the rallies. However, SNS had a negative influence, while podcasts did not have a significant effect. On the other hand, SNS and podcasts had a positive influence on online participation. The results of structural equation modeling showed that SNS and podcasts affected SNS participation in the mediation of political discussion and political efficacy.

수도작(水稻作)에서 각종인산질비료(各種燐酸質肥料)의 비효에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Studies on the Effect of Various Forms of Phosphate on the Production of Paddy Rice)

  • 우리나라 수도작(水稻作)에 대(對)한 수종(數種) 인산질비료(燐酸質肥料)의 비효를 명확(明確)히 하기 위(爲)하여 기왕(旣往)에 실시(實施)한 재배시험(栽培試驗) 결과(結果)를 검토(檢討)하고 또 비효의 차이(差異)를 가져온 원인(原因)을 캐 볼 목적(目的)으로 1963~1964년(年)에 수경(水耕) 및 토경재배(土耕栽培)[폿트(깡통을 썼음)시험(試驗)]를 실시(實施)한바 그 결과(結果)는 다음과 같다. 1. 수경재배(水耕栽培)를 통(通)한 순수한 인산질비료(鱗酸質肥料)로서의 비효는 수용성인산(水溶性燐酸)이 가장 크고 구용성(拘溶性) 인산(燐酸)인 용린(熔燐)이나 인산제(燐酸第)2석회(石灰)가 그 뒤를 따랐으나 토경재배(土耕栽培) (폿트시험(試驗))나 실제 포장시험(圃場試驗)에서는 용린(熔燐)의 효과가 수용성(水溶性)인 중과석(重過石)의 효과보다 우수(優秀)한 경우(境遇)가 많았고 하이포인비(燐肥)나 용성인비(熔成燐肥), 화성인비(化成燐肥), 스래그인비(燐肥)는 중과석(重過石)과 비슷하거나 이보다 다소(多少) 떨어지는 비효를 보이는 경우(境遇)가 많았으며 린회석분말(燐灰石粉末)의 비효는 대체(大體)로 타비료(他肥料)보다 월등히 떨어진다. 2. 용린(熔燐)의 비효가 중과석(重過石)보다 대체(大體)로 컸든 이유(理由)로는 용린(熔燐)이 가. 토양산성(土壤酸性)을 중화(中和)하는 능력(能力)이 있고 나. 마그네슘을 공급(供給)하며 동(同) 공급(供給)이 치환성토양염기(置換性土壤鹽基)를 균형(均衡)된 조건(條件)으로 유인하고 다. 마그네슘이 인산(燐酸)의 이전(移轉)(식물체내(植物體內)에서)이나 인산(燐酸)의 흡수(吸收)를 조절(調節)하기 때문으로 추리(推理)되었다.

복숭아 중 Methoxyfenozide와 Novaluron의 생산단계 농약잔류허용기준 설정 (Establishment of Pre-Harvest Residue Limit (PHRL) of Methoxyfenozide and Novaluron on Peaches)

  • 복숭아 재배 중 methoxyfenozide와 novalruon을 1회 처리와 3회 처리로 구분하여 살포하고, 살포 후 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14일까지 복숭아 시료를 채취하였다. Methoxyfenozide와 novaluron은 acetone으로 추출, dichloromethane으로 분배하여 HPLC/DAD로 분석하였다. 분석결과 정량분석한계는 모두 0.005 mg/kg이었고, 0.05 및 0.25 mg/kg 수준에서 methoxyfenozide의 평균 회수율은 각각 $92.7{\pm}2.9%$$102.8{\pm}3.1%$, novaluron은 $98.2{\pm}4.8%$$96.7{\pm}9.0%$이었다. 복숭아에서 methoxyfenozide의 생물학적 반감기는 4.41일(1회)과 4.24일(3회)이었고, novaluron은 14.81일(1회)과 14.50일(3회)이었으며, 복숭아의 증체율에 따른 희석효과가 잔류량 감소에 영향을 주었으며, methoxyfenozide와 novaluron을 농약안전사용기준에 따라 처리 시 최종잔류농도는 MRL 이하로 떨어질 것으로 예측된다.

교통사고(交通事故)로 인한 편타성(鞭打性) 손상(損傷) 환자(患者) 37례(例)에 대한 임상연구(臨床硏究) (The clinical study on 37 cases of whiplash injury patients which caused by traffic accident)

  • Objective : This study was performed to evaluate the effect of oriental medical treatment in whiplash injury patients which caused by traffic accident. Methods : The clinical study was carried out 37 cases of whiplash injury patients which had been admitted in Daejon university Cheon-an oriental hospital from June, 2001 to December, 2001. Results : l. In the distribution of sex distinction was female much more than male in the ratio of 3:2 and thirties was most in age distribution. 2. In situation of traffic accident, The most case was rear-ending(70.27%). 3. Except cervical pain or it's reffered pain, there were whole body symptoms as fallow, insomnia in 11cases(29.73%), night pain in 10 cases(27.03%), general body pain in 8cases(21.62), dizziness in 6cases(16.22%). 4. According to Meridian Muscle theory, a injured parts of patient were devided as follows. There were 22cases(59.46%) which have injury in Bladder, Small Intestine Meridian Muscle, 10cases(27.03%) in Gallblader, Triple Energizer Meridian Muscle, 5cases(13.51%) in Stomach, Large Intestine Meridian Muscle. 5. There were 6cases(16.22%) of the grade of complete recovery, 10cases(27.03%) of the grade of excellent, 12cases(32.43%) of the grade of improvement, 6cases(16.22%) of the grade of disimprovement and 3cases(8.11%) of the grade of poor. So 28cases(75.68%) were efficacious. 6. Generally Herb-meds that have efficacy of Geo-Eohyeol were most used(27cases, 72.97%) in early stage. Secondly Herb-med that have efficacy of Yiqi-sunqi were used(20case, 54,05%) in middle stage and Herb-med of Bo-Qiheol were used(l0cases, 27.03%) in latter term. The most used Herb-med was Hoisu-san, Oyaksungi-san(22cases, 54.96%). 7. In l5cases which have Aqua-Acupuncture treatment, There were 3cases of Complete recovery, 5cases of Excellent, 4cases of Improvement, 2cases of Disimprovement, 1cases of Poor. 8cases(53.33%) were above Excellent grade, so it is more efficatious Than simple treatment without Aqua-Acupuncture(36.37%). 8. The improvement of Bladder, Small Intestine Meridian Muscle was 77.27%, Gallblader, Triple Energizer Meridian Muscle was 70% and Stomach, Large Intestine Meridian Muscle was 80%. Additional Aqua-Acupuncture treatment improved to be effective in Bladder, Small Intestine Meridian Muscle(77.78%), in Gallblader, Triple Energizer Meridian Muscle(75%), in Stomach, Large Intestine Meridian Muscle(100%). Conclusions : In this study, Oriental treatment especially Aqua-Acupuncture was effective in whiplash injury patients which caused by traffic accident.

고농도 탄산가스 충전에 의한 식품 해충 방제: 거짓쌀도둑거저리와 화랑곡나방의 살충효과에 미치는 노출시간과 식품포장 재질의 영향 (Control of Food Pests by $CO_{2}$ Modified Atmosphere: Effects of Packing Materials and Exposure Time on the Mortality of Tribolium castaneum and Plodia interpunctella)

  • 고농도 탄산가스 충전을 통한 식품 해충 방제에서 식품 포장재질과 노출시간이 화랑곡나방과 거짓쌀도둑거저리의 사망률에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 사용된 식품포장 재질은 3겹크라프트지(KKK), 2겹 크라프트-1겹 라미네이트 코팅지(KLK), 2겹크라프트-1겹 HD 코팅지였다(KHK). 탄산가스 농도가 85% 로 충전된 실험구(직경 1.2 m)에 투입 하루 후각 재질의 봉투($9.8{\times}9.8cm$) 내 탄산가스 농도는 KKK($26.67{\pm}0.58%$)에서 다른 재질 봉투에 비해 유의하게 높았다. 화랑곡나방과 거짓쌀도둑거저리의 사망률은 KKK 재질의 봉투에서 다른 재질에 비해 유의하게 높았다. 실제 식품보관 창고($9{\times}4{\times}3m$)에서 대형 포대(20 kg)를 대상으로 한 실험에서도 유사한 결과를 얻었다. 포장재질의 영향은 화랑곡나방 보다 내성이 강한 거짓쌀도둑거저리에서 두드러졌다. 화랑곡나방과 거짓쌀도둑거저리의 사충률은 누적 농도시간 (${\int}_{0}^{t}c{\times}tdc{\approx}{\sum}$농도${\times}$시간)에 회귀하였다. 이 결과를 토대로 탄산가스 충전에 의한 방제효과를 식품포장 재질, 식품의 종류, 누적농도시간과 연관하여 고찰하였다.

슬관절 수술용 전기소작완드에 적용되는 형상기억합금 코일스프링의 회복력 및 행정거리의 관계 (Relationship between Restoring Force and Typical Stroke with SMA Coil Spring in Electrosurgical Knee Wand)

  • 슬관절 소작용 완드(Electrosurgical Knee Wand, EKW)는 고주파 소작법으로 슬관절 인대, 조직 등의 응고, 삭마, 절제, 등에 적용된다. EKW와 radiofrequency를 이용한 조직응고, 삭마 등의 슬관절 수술에서 수술안전성, 편의성 및 성공률을 극대화하기 위해서는 병변에 매우 정확하고 안전하게 EKW가 선택적 접근을 할 수 있도록 유도하는 탁월한 방향조종제어능이 핵심기술이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 대퇴경골부 제한적인 공간에서 가장 적합한 수술용 의료기기 액추에이터로 판단되는 형상기억합금(SMA) 와이어를 이용하여 형상기억효과를 극대화 할 수 있는 SMA 인장스프링 모델을 제작하여 실험을 수행하였다. 또한 SMA의 열전기적 특성 및 전류변화에 따른 온도특성에 대한 연구를 수행하고 SMA 인장스프링의 설계조건에 따른 회복력 및 행정거리의 관계를 평가하였다. 그 결과, SMA 인장스프링의 직경이 작아질수록 최대온도는 증가하였다. 전류인가 15초의 경우는 전류량 증가와 힘의 증가가 비례한 반면, 전류인가 30초는 매우 불안정한 결과가 나타났다. 반면, 전류량 증가와 행정거리(TS) 증가 관계는 전류인가 15초일 때가 전류인가 30초일 때보다 더 안정적인 결과가 나타났다.
