복식디자인 요소가 얼굴지각에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Clothing Design Factors on the Perception of Face)

  • This study was intended to make an inquiry into the effect of lines, shapes and colors (achromatic colors) as apparel design elements on the perceptions of facial size, brightness and shape through an empirical research based on the theories of visual perception and optical illusion that have been studied in Gestalt Psychology, which becomes the basis of apparel design principles. It was shown that the facial size was influenced by the collar size, the degree of neckline cut, and the thickness of the trimming line. The white scarf with the white jacket made the face look darkest while the black scarf with the black jacket made the face look brightest. When the neckline had the characteristic of the line contrasted with the facial shape, the oval-shaped face was perceived to be the most ideal. When the facial shape and the neckline shape were similar, the facial shape was perceived to be more highlighted.

Compact Dual-Band Three-Way Metamaterial Power-Divider with a Hybrid CRLH Phase-Shift Line

  • A compact dual-band three-way metamaterial power divider is proposed that has three in-phase outputs. Fully printed composite rightand left-handed (CRLH) unequal and equal power dividers are first implemented for 900-MHz and 2.4-GHz bands with the power-division ratios of 2:1 and 1:1, respectively. An initial 1:1:1 power divider is then achieved by incorporating the input of the two-way equal block into an output of the unequal block, and trimming the interconnection parameters. The condition of an identical phase at the three outputs of the power divider is then met by devising a hybrid CRLH phase-shift line to compensate for the different phase errors at the two frequencies. This scheme is confirmed by predicting the performance of the power divider with circuit analysis and full-wave simulation and measuring the fabricated prototype. They results show agreement; the in-phase outputs as well as the desirable power-division are accomplished and outdo the conventional techniques.

Effective Lateral Canthal Lengthening with Triangular Rotation Flap

  • In Korea, lateral canthoplasty, along with medial epicanthoplasty, has become popular over the past years to widen the horizontal length of the palpebral fissure. However, the effect of the surgery differs greatly depending on the shape and structure of the eyes. If over-widened, complications such as eversion, scarring, and conjunctival exposure may occur. Thus, the author of this study suggests a more effective and safe method for lateral canthal lengthening that causes minimal complications. A total of 236 patients underwent lateral canthoplasty between July 2007 and December 2015. For each patient, a triangular flap 4-5 mm away from the lateral canthus was elevated and rotated 45 degrees laterally while the continuity of the lower eyelid gray line was maintained. A new lateral canthus was created by fixating the rotation flap to the lateral orbital rim with minimal skin trimming and tension-free sutures, preventing relapse and maintaining a triangular shape. In more than 95% of cases, effective and satisfactory extension was achieved. On average, a 3 mm extension of the lateral canthus was achieved. There were minor complications such as wound dehiscence, webbing, and scarring, which were easily corrected. The author not only extended the lateral canthus 3-4 mm laterally but also maintained the continuity of the gray line on the lower lid as a more natural-looking triangular shape, while minimizing complications such as webbing and conjunctival exposure.

여아의 원피스 드레스 디테일 선호도 - 만 3~6세를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Detail Preference of Girls One-piece Dress - Focus on 3 to 6 Years Old -)

  • This study was to investigate the preference tendency by detail and material preference of summer one-piece dresses for the children, and evaluation standard of children's wear in purchasing one-piece dresses as an object of mothers who have girls as buying representatives of children's wear in order to supply real information of design about the one-piece dresses for the girls in accordance with the consumers' demands. The results of this study revealed that the one-piece dress was favorite one to them in purchasing their summer wear. This study showed tendency that the more the mother's fashion interest was, the more the mother's preference on the one-piece dress was. As to the material preference of one-piece dress, it preferred the natural fiber to the synthetic fiber much, and the preferred customer order in purchasing one-piece dresses for their children was analyzed as activity, material, design collar, and pattern. As to the preference by form factor of one-piece dress, it preferred A-line silhouette in the silhouette, natural waist in the waist position, 5~7cm from the knee in the length of one-piece dress, and flared skirt in shape of skirt. The preference on the collar type was soutien collar, and the preference on the neckline type was round neckline. In addition, the preference on sleeve form was shirtsleeve, and the preference on trimming was lace trimming.

테스트워크의 스트립 레이아웃설계에 관한 연구 (A study on the design of layout for test work)

  • Test work is the press die branch at The Korea-China-Japan Grand Prize Contest. This study focuses on strip layout design for test work. A comparison is drawn between product shape and blank deployment line. During the forming analysis of the whole product, shape part of the total forming process is analyzed. As for forming part and flange deployment, forming analysis is carried out in part during the mid process. Material utilization is 42.6 percent and strip layout design is completed in 14 processes that are comprised of hourglass, slotting, embossing, drawing and trimming.

자동차 산업의 금형제작을 위한 3차원 윤곽가공 (3D-Contour Machining for Die Manufacturing in a Motor Industry)

  • A procedure is presented for a 3D-contour machining without cutter interferences. The 3D-contouring machining along a spatial curve is often required for manufacturing trimming and flange dies in motor industries. Input data for the machining contour is a spline curve with polynomial vector equation provided by CATIA system. Points are sampled on the contour curve and line segments and helical curves are approximated from the point data. Cutter interference is checked on the approximated spline and all of interference curves are substituted with interference-free helical curves for a tool path generation. The non-machined curve areas are locally machined by tools with smaller diameters. A tool radius offset is considered for generating NC data to be free with tool size.

  • Various methods of finite element modeling for welded part are examined and the stamping simulation of automotive body is presented by using the explicit finite element code PAM-STAMPTM. The process of stamping simulation is suggested step by step, and then the gravity, binder wrap, forming, trimming and springback of front door inner are analyzed. It shows good agreements with real product in the aspects of deformed shape and failure area. The door inner with laser-tailor welded blank is simulated, in which deformed shape, movement of welde line and formability are predicted.

But the technological requirements and implementation issues haven't been defined. In this paper we summarized the requirements and issues of 3D-profile machining. Approximation of input profiles into sequences of line and helical arc is the first major issue. The second major issue is removing cutter interference from the approximated curves holding z-values when the maximum cutter diameter is given. Keeping constant machining width, local machining, path linking problems and several detail technological requirements are also discussed.

  • In this paper, an efficient algorithm is proposed to find parting lines(PL) and generate parting surfaces(PS) for an injection mold design. We used a Face-Edge Graph which can be made by B-rep information of solid model. The graph is useful for finding the peripheral-loop edges for PL and the inner-loop edges for hole-patch. The PS can be generated automatically by selecting pre-defined direction lines. We can create a core and cavity molds by trimming the raw stock block with the PS and the upper/lower faces of a product model. We implemented proposed method with Unigraphics API functions and C language, and tesed on Unigraphics V15.
