우리 나라 공항 운영성과 지표 측정 및 활용방안 연구 (Airport Performance Measurement and Airport Operation System Improvement)

  • According to the liberalization of the air transport industry, the operation of airport also takes account of economic efficiency. The owners or the operators of an airport or airport systems want to know what is the best way to achieve the best performance in the aspect of economic efficiency and they are willing to improve the airport operation system. Prerequisite for the improvement of economic efficiency is to measure the performance of not only their own airports but the other airports. This study presents the result of performance measurement of Korean airports. The overall costs performance, labor productivity, capital productivity, revenue performance and profit performance are estimated and interpreted. As conclusions, the suggestion about airport system improvement is presented.

  • High capacity container carrier has been considered for many decades to transport the more containers at the same time. Therefore, it is required for high capacity container ship to be applied thicker plate to accomodate a mumber of containers compared to that of general container ship. To increase productivity of welding, new welding process should be considered. A representive process for increase of weld productivity is EGW(Electrode Gas Welding) process. Both sides EGW process was evaluated for thicker-plate TMCP Steel. From the test result, it is considered that this process can be applied, showing satisfaction of mechanical properties such as tensile strength and impact property.

New Conceptual Handling Systems in Container Terminals

  • This paper introduces some of the developments related to the handling equipment in container terminals and various new conceptual handling systems that have been proposed during the last several decades. The basic ideas behind the previous equipment improvements are analyzed to identify future directions that can be used for devising new handling systems. The handling systems in the container terminals include a quayside handling system, transport system, and yard system. In response to the deployment of mega-sized vessels for container transportation systems, productivity improvement has become one of the most urgent issues in the container terminals. This paper analyzes the previous improvements made for achieving higher productivity in the three subsystems of container handling. Some conceptual handling systems are introduced including the linear motor conveyance system (LMCS), automated storage and retrieval systems (AR/RS), overhead grid rail (GRAIL), SPEEDPORT, SuperDock, the automated container system by ZPMC (ACS-ZPMC), and AUTOCON.

이송장비의 Pooling 운행방식에 따른 터미널하역생산성 효과 (A study on the productivity effects of transport vehicle by pooling system at container terminals)

  • 본 연구에서는 이송장비의 조별운행방식과 Pooling 운행방식에 따른 컨테이너 터미널의 하역시스템 생산성을 비교분석하였다. 기존 컨테이너 터미널에서는 다수의 이송장비가 1개조로 구성되어 하나의 컨테이너 크레인(C/C)에 대해서만 양 ${\cdot}$ 적하작업을 지원하는 고정할당방식을 채택하고 있다. 이러한 할당방식은 하역작업시 혼선이 적고 차량이 일괄적 운행경로를 가지므로 지금까지 매우 광범위하게 적용되어 왔다. 그러나, 각기 다른 조에 편성된 이송장비간에는 상호지원을 하지 않기 때문에 이송장비의 작업융통성이 떨어진다고 볼 수 있다. 이에 비해 본 연구에서는 이송장비의 작업조를 편성하지 않고 투입된 모든 이송장비가 자유롭게 다수의 C/C에 대한 이송작업을 지원할 수 있는 4가지의 동적할당기법을 제시한다. 제시된 4가지의 동적할당은 차량할당시에 C/C의 순번(Se), 대기시간(Qt), 생산성(Pr), 차량할당수(Nv), 버퍼수(Nb)를 고려하는 것으로 연구결과에서 C/C의 현재대기시간, 할당수, 버퍼수를 동시에 고려한 동적할당방식이 가장 효율적이였고, 그 다음으로 할당순서에 기준한 방식이 우수한 결과를 보였다. 그러나, C/C의 현재생산성이나 대기시간만을 고려한 할당방식은 상대적으로 고정할당방식보다 낮은 효율성을 보이는 것으로 나타났다.

  • The transportation productivity is the throughput of utility per locations of resources and is able to be brought forth by using transportation mode. Therefore, Oil energy is necessary for using the transportation mode that is mainly consisted of four parts trucks, railroad, ship and aircraft, and Oil quantity used for such modes is not respectively same. Noticing Such a Point, the purpsoe of this paper is to reaserch the transportation mode of convertable cargoes and to minimize energy consumption quantity by adopting such a mode. We must ttend to Energy-Intensity, Transportation, Distance and cargo quantity for selecting the transport mode to energy consumption and the minimization of transportation energy consumption is concluded in the next LP Problem. As above mentioned, we can find the solution of Xij by the LP when Xij is transportation cargo per routes, and fullfil the minimization of Energy Consumption.

ITS provides drivers with traffic information and new routing options on route In order to make them move quickly to their destinations. The higher mobility, the more productivity we gain. The ultimate goal of Intelligent Transport System is to improve mobility. ITS world is broad and quite varied, as demonstrated by ITS user services, their distinct needs, and complex Interactions and synergies. ITS ties the transportation and telecommunication worlds together. The complex world of telecommunications is evolving and expanding rapidly. Especially over the last two decades, the birth and unprecedented growth of wireless is really marvelous and further holds tremendous promise into the future. This wireless and emerging technologies will offer extensive opportunities to handle many ITS user services, and alter many of the traditional paradigms of transportation.

Recent Developments and Future Prospects on Biofuels R&D

  • The transport biofuel is emerging a promising option to realize the sustainable growth of our society. Two biofuels, bioethanol and biodiesel, are currently used in the transport sector. As the production of biofuels is getting activated, the stable supply of the feedstocks is becoming a critical issue. Active works have been carried out to secure the stable supply of the raw materials for the production of biofuels. One approach is the breeding of the energy crops to get higher productivity and / or the desirable fuel properties. The other approach is finding new energy crops which may not be used for edible purpose. First current aspects and challenging issues for the implementation of biofuels have been introduced. Finally the recent works and future prospects on the development of the energy crops are summarized.

  • Off-Site Construction is being widely adopted as an alternative to solve endemic problems in construction industry such as low productivity and efficiency. However, it is strongly recommended to examine the transportation process to be optimized because it determines the size of a modular and influences the cost of the construction. Therefore, in this study simulation model for optimization of modular construction transportation plan was developed using AnyLogic. As a result of the study, the influence of trailer transport capacity and transport time increases as the number of modular which should be transported from factory to site increases.

  • 철도-공로 복합화물운송은 최초출발지에서 최종목적지까지 화물을 수송함에 있어 철도와 화물자동차를 연계하는 운송시스템이다. 철도-공로 복합화물운송에서 공로(화물자동차)의 역할은 집배송 기능으로 전체 운송과정의 경쟁력에 중요한 영향을 미친다. 본 연구는 철도-공로 복합화물운송의 대표적 화물인 컨테이너를 대상으로 집배송 부분의 효율성을 제고시키기 위한 운송전략을 개발하고 평가하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 컨테이너트럭의 운송거리 최소화를 지향하는 전략과 고객에서의 대기시간 최소화를 주목적으로 하는 전략 등 2개의 집배송 개선전략이 개발되었다. 개발된 전략들은 파리수도권의 실제 집배송망에 적용되어 그 효율성이 비교, 평가되었다. 기존 집배송방식과의 시뮬레이션 비교결과 제안된 전략들이 다양한 성과지표에서 상당히 효율적임이 입증되었다.

  • Urban areas face congestion problems that diminish personal mobility and freight-transportation productivity. An increasing number of experts suggest that separating freight traffic from passenger traffic makes sense in terms of economics, the environment, and safety. Some experts suggest that underground freight transportation are the solution. The objective of this paper is to review the potential benefits and limitations of freight pipelines as a viable mode of cargo transport that can alleviate congestion on urban highways.
