  • In this paper, the transient response analysis of the trapezoidal corrugated plate subjected to the pulse load is investigated by the theoretical method. Three types of pulse loads are considered: stepped, isosceles triangular and right triangular pulse loads. The corrugated plates can be represented as an orthotropic plate. Both the effective extensional and flexural stiffness of this equivalent orthotropic plate are considered in the analysis. The plate is stiffened by concentric stiffeners perpendicular to the corrugation direction. The stiffening effect is represented by the discrete stiffener theory. This theoretical results are validated by those obtained from 3D finite element analysis based on shell elements. Some numerical results are presented to check the effect of the geometric properties.

  • This paper deals with the design rule and performance results of the transient voltage blocking devices (TBD) for low-voltage mains on shipboard. The proposed TBD consists of metal oxide varistors (MOV) and L-C filter to improve noise-elimination performance. Three kinds of TBDs are fabricated and tested by using a combination surge generator which can produce the standard impulse current of 8/20${\mu}$s 2.1kA. As a reults, the proposed TBD with series L-C filter has more excellent transient blocking and noise reduction performance than the conventional TBDs.

  • In this paper, we are going to propose the new algorithms to detect, classify, discriminate the transient and the reflected signal from noise and thus discriminate the fault section and locale the fault accurately on underground power cable system. Actually, at this system, it's very difficult to discriminate the transient because of the reflected signal including many noises. Therefore, how to solve the noise interference is a big problem. In this paper, authors present a solution based on multiple scales correlation of the transient using stationary wavelet transform. It's simple, quick and straightforward. For applying all algorithms, we just use the signal captured in single end.

  • This paper presents the modeling and impact analysis for a rotating cantilever beam having a concentrated mass. The concentrated mass takes an impact force during the rotating motion and the transient response of the beam induced by the impact is calculated by applying the Rayleigh-Ritz assumed mode method. The stiffness variation effect caused by the rotating motion is considered in this modeling. The effects of the concentrated mass size, impact position and the angular velocity of the beam on the transient responses are investigated through numerical studies.

  • In our research we have offered a solid solution for aeronautical analysis. which can guarantee the asymptotic stability of coupled nonlinear facilities. According to the theoretical solutions and methods presented, the engine of this aircraft is a small high-bypass turbofan engine. using the non-linear aero-motor control approach and this paper focuses on the power management function of the aero-motor control system. These include static controls and transient controls. A mathematical model of the high-bypass-ratio two-spool unmixed-flow aeroengine was developed through a set of nonlinear dynamic equations verified by experimental data. A single actuator using the displacement method is designed to maintain a certain level of thrust under steady-state conditions. and maintains repeatable performance during transient operation from the requested thrust phase to the next. A single controller can compensate for the effects of noise and harmonic noise at many performance points. And the dynamic performance of a single controller is satisfactory during the transient. for fairness Numerical and computer experiments are described in the perfection of the methods we offer in research.

  • This paper describes the design and fabrication of a home-panel board for electromagnetic compatibility which can protect home-electric appliances from transient voltages and power line noise. The proposed panel board include a transient voltage blocking device and a EMI filter which consisted of varistors, capacitors, and bus line inductance.A performance test of the prototype panel board, blocking characteristics to transient voltages and reduction characteristics to power line noise, are carried out by using a combination surge generator standardized in IEC and a network analyzer. The results showed that the proposed panel board is satisfied with the surge immunity level of IEC 61000-4-5, and has an over 20[dB] noise reduction performance in ranges from 150[kHz]∼30[MHz].

  • In this study, finite element modeling and structural vibration analyses of a gyrocopter have been conducted considering dynamic hub-loads due to rotating blades. For this research, 3D CATIA models for most mechanical parts are exactly prepared and assembled into the final aircraft configuration. Then the dynamic finite element model including several non-structural parts are constructed based on the exact 3D CAD data. Computational structural dynamics technique based on finite element method is applied using both MSC/NASTRAN and developed in-house code which can largely reduce the pre and postprocessing time of general transient dynamic analyses. Modal based transient and frequency response analyses are used to efficiently investigate vibration characteristics. The results include natural frequency comparison for different fuel and pilot conditions, fundamental natural mode shapes, frequency responses and transient acceleration responses of the present gyrocopter model.

  • This paper deals with the process to identify the transient exciting force generated from a rotary compressor. The compressor was assumed to be a rigid body. The equation of motion of a rigid compressor supported by three mounts was derived with 6 degree-of-freedom. The exciting forces at the center of mass of the compressor were estimated from the acceleration data measured at compressor shell. Compressor-pipe system was modeled numerically. The accelerations of compressor and pipe were predicted numerically by using the estimated exciting force. A new shape of pipe model was proposed to reduce the vibration. In the prediction by the method in this paper, the maximum acceleration of the pipe could be reduced by 53.7 % at the steady-state and by 12 % at the transient process. In the real experiments, the maximum acceleration of the pipe was reduced by 54.2 % at steady-state and 14.7 % at the transient process. It was verified that the numerical results showed good agreement with experimental results.

  • An implicit direct-time integration method for obtaining transient responses of general dynamic systems is described. The conventional Newmark method cannot be directly applied to state-space first-order differential equations, which contain no explicit acceleration terms. The method proposed here is the state-space Newmark method that incorporates the average velocity concept, and can be applied to an analysis of general dynamic systems that are expressed by state-space first-order differential equations. It is also readily coded into a program. Stability and accuracy analyses indicate that the method is numerically unconditionally stable like the conventional Newmark method, and has a period error of 2nd-order accuracy for small damping and 4th-order for large damping and an amplitude error of 2nd-order, regardless of damping. In addition, its utility and validity are confirmed by two application examples. The results suggest that the proposed state-space Newmark method based on average velocity be generally applied to the analysis of transient responses of general dynamic systems with a high degree of reliability with respect to stability and accuracy.

  • In this study, the state-space Newmark method based on average velocity is presented to analyse the transient dynamic response for general dynamic system. The conventional Newmark method based on average acceleration cannot he directly to the first-order state-space differential equations introducing the state-space vector. To overcome this problem, the time-step integration algorithm, based on average velocity concept, suitable for the first-order state-space differential equations is proposed In results, the proposed method has %he numerical stability and order of accuracy, which is proved analytically, equal to those of the conventional Newmark method based on average acceleration. Also, the formulation for numerical solution is very simple and the calculation time Is nearly equal to that of the conventional Newmark method based on average acceleration in spite of an increase of two times over matrix size. This method will be look forward to applying the general dynamic system to calculate the transient dynamic response.
