  • In this paper, the authors propose a method to easily recognize and reproduce the robot motion made by an operator. This method is targets for applications similar to painting and welding, and it is based on a process of that identifies a family of plants, by control design and by conducting an experimental evaluation. In this study, the models and controllers for all joints of 3DOF robot system are obtained individually. And a robust control system for motion control of the individual joints is designed based on $H_{\infty}$ control framework. An experimental comparison is made between the proposed control method and existing PID control method. And the results indicate that the proposed designing method is more efficient and useful than conventional method.

  • Satellite formation flying is currently an active area of research in the aerospace engineering. So it has been researched by various authors. In this study, a tracking controller using sliding mode techniques was designed to control a satellite for the satellite formation flying. In general, Hill's equations are used to describe the relative motion of the follower satellite with respect to the leader satellite. However the modified Hill's equations considering the $J_2$ perturbation were used for the design of sliding mode controller. The extended Kalman filter was applied to estimate the state vector based on the measurements of relative distance and velocity between two satellites. The simulation results show that the follower satellite tracks the desired trajectory well by thruster operations based on the sliding mode control law.

  • A new navigation method is developed and implemented for mobile robot. The mobile robot navigation problem has traditionally been decomposed into the path planning and path following. Unlike tracking-based system, which minimize intercept time and moved mobile robot distance for optimal rendezvous point selection. To research of random moving object uses algorithm of Adaptive Control using Auto-regressive Model. A fine motion tracking object's trajectory is predicted of Auto-regressive Algorithm. Thus, the mobile robot can travel faster than the target wi thin the robot's workspace. The can select optimal rendezvous point of various intercept time.

  • One of the goals in the field of mobile robotics is the development of personal service robots for the elderly which behave in populated environments. In this paper, we describe a security robot system and ongoing research results that minimize the risk of the elderly and the infirm to access an area to enter restricted areas with high potential for falls, such as stairs, steps, and wet floors. The proposed robot system surveys a potential falling area with an equipped laser scanner sensor. When it detects walking in elderly or infirm patients who in restricted areas, the robot calculates the velocity vector, plans its own path to forestall the patient in order to prevent them from heading to the restricted area and starts to move along the estimated trajectory. The walking human is assumed to be a point-object and projected onto a scanning plane to form a geometrical constraint equation that provides position data of the human based on the kinematics of the mobile robot. While moving, the robot continues these processes in order to adapt to the changing situation. After arriving at an opposite position to the human's walking direction, the robot advises them to change course. The simulation and experimental results of estimating and tracking of the human in the wrong direction with the mobile robot are presented.

  • In this paper, we present a robust motion controller based on Adaptive-Fuzzy technique is proposed that multifunctional vehicle(MVR) for two DOF mobile robot can perform detailed inspection of physical conditions of sewage pipes as well as can effectively repair the damaged portions of the inner walls. The main difficulties in controlling this multifunctional robot vehicles lie in the fact that vehicles usually have three degrees of freedom in position and orientation in spite of having only two degrees of freedom for motion control in tracking mode. Decomposition of error between the reference posture and the current posture makes control of speed and steering possible. The Gyro compass part and Inclonometer of the robot is configured in order to realize position of robot. The proposed Adaptive-Fuzzy motion controller has two main characteristics: The one guarantees that the MVR follows the reference trajectory; the other one compensates the dynamics of the MVR. Simulation results are provided to validate the proposed controller. Experiments have been used to verify the effectiveness and robustness of the motion controller.

  • This paper presents a new approachtothe design of adaptive control system using DSPs(TMS320C30) for robotic manipulators to achieve trajectory tracking by the joint angles. Digital signal processors are used in implementing real time adaptive control algorithms to provide an enhanced motion control for robotic manipulators. In the proposed control scheme, adaptation laws are derived from the improved Lyapunov second stability analysis method based on the adaptive model reference control theory. The adaptive controller consists of an adaaptive feedforward controller, feedback controller, and PID type time-varying auxillary control elements. The prpposed adaptive control scheme is simple in structure, fast in computation, and suitable for implementation of real-time control. Moreover, this scheme does not require an accurate dynamic modeling, nor values of manipulator parameters and payload. Performance of the adaptive controller is illustrated by simulation and experimental results for a SCARA robot.

  • This paper deals with the State-Dependent Riccati Equation (SDRE) technique for the design of helicopter nonlinear flight controllers. Since the SDRE controller requires a linear system-like structure for nonlinear motion equations, a state-dependent coefficient (SDC) factorization technique is developed in order to derive the conforming structure from a general nonlinear helicopter dynamic model. Also on-line numerical methods of solving the algebraic Riccati equation are investigated to improve the numerical efficiency in designing the SDRE controllers. The proposed method is applied to trajectory tracking problems of the helicopter and computational tips for a real time application are proposed using a high fidelity rotorcraft mathematical model.

  • The study of fish robot is a main subject that are related with the propulsive force comparison using a varying amplitude and frequency for body and tail motion trajectory, and the quick turn using a proper trajectory function. In this study, when a fish robot thrusts forward, feedback control is difficult to apply for a fish robot, because body and tail joints as a sine wave are rolled. Therefore, we detect the virtual position based on the path of the fish robot, define the angle errors using the detected position and the look-ahead point on the given path, and design a controller to track given path. We have found that the proposed method is useful through the computer simulations.

  • Robotic manipulators have become increasingly important in the field of flexible automation. High speed and high-precision trajectory tracking are indispensable capabilities for their versatile application. The need to meet demanding control requirement in increasingly complex dynamical control systems under significant uncertainties, leads toward design of intelligent manipulation robots. This paper presents a new approach to the design of neural control system using digital signal processors in order to improve the precision and robustness. The TMS32OC31 is used in implementing real time neural control to provide an enhanced motion control for robotic manipulators. In this control scheme, the networks introduced are neural nets with dynamic neurons, whose dynamics are distributed over all the, network nodes. The nets are trained by the distributed dynamic back propagation algorithm. The proposed neural network control scheme is simple in structure, fast in computation, and suitable for implementation of real-time, control. Performance of the neural controller is illustrated by simulation and experimental results for a SCARA robot.

  • This paper proposes about decentralized control approach based Leader-Follower formation control using LOS (Line of Sight) algorithm and unknown input observer. The position of robots which is a basic information in multi-robot or single robot motion control is determined by localization algorithm fusing UPS (Ultrasonic Position System) and kinematics model. For formation control, a decentralized control approach individually installing a local controller in leader and follower robot is adopted. Leader robot is controlled to track a specified trajectory by LOS algorithm, and the other robots follow the leader by local controller based on tracking platoon level function, self-sensing data and estimated information from unknown input observer. The performance of proposed method is proven through the formation experiment of two vehicle models.
