  • 천리안위성의 안정적인 장기 일반운영과 예기치 못한 비상상황을 대비하기 위한 관제원 운영능력 유지를 위해 개발된 관제모의훈련시스템의 구조와 특징에 대해 설명한다. 본 논문에서 특히 교관 편의 기능을 강조한 GUI 환경의 고장주입 기능과 훈련 시나리오를 자동으로 동작시키는 스케줄러, 기존 시뮬레이터의 고장발생 기능개선 부분을 중점적으로 기술하여 훈련시스템의 차별적인 장점과 기대효과를 조명한다. 아울러 고장 복구 훈련 예제를 통하여 훈련시스템 동작과정의 이해를 돕는다.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a training scenario for KA-32T helicopter simulator. First, the concept of training scenario are classified into training elements and training information. Secondly, the training elements are defined according to the property of each element: flight phase, situation, and environment. The main mission of KA-32T on the operation of KFS(Korea Forest Service) is the forest fire extinguishment mission, and it is divided into the two disciplines: water supply and water discharge. Finally the mission scenario for two disciplines are defined and developed as the combination of the normal procedures of training scenario and the mission procedures.

  • In a training simulator for power plant, operator's action in the MCR(Main Control Room) are given to plant process and computer system model as an inputs, and the same response as in real power plant is provided in real time. Inter-process communication and synchronization are especially important among various inputs. In the plant simulator, to simulate the digital control system such as FOXBORO SPEC-200 Micro control system, modification and adaptation of control card(CCC) and its continuous display station(CDS) is necessary. This paper describes the modeling and simulation of FOXBORO SPEC-200 Micro control system applied to Younggwang nuclear power plant unit #3 & 4, and its integration process to the full-scope replica type training simulator. In a simulator, display station like CDS of FOXBORO SPEC-200 Micro control system is classified as ITI(Intelligent Type Instrument), which has a micro processor inside to process information and the corresponding alphanumeric display, and the stimulation of ITI limits the important functions in a training simulator such as backtrack, replay, freeze and IC reset. Therefore, to achieve the better performance of the simulator, modification of CDS and special firmware is developed to simulate the FOXBORO SPEC-200 Micro control system. Each control function inside control card is modeled and simulated in generic approach to accept the plant data and control parameter conveniently, and debugging algorithms are applied for massive coding developed in short period.

강인한 서보계설계와 R/C헬리콥터 트레이닝 시뮬레이터 제어에의 응용 (Design of robust servo systems and application to control of training simulator for radio-controlled helicopter)

  • In this paper, a new construction for training simulator of R/C helicopter based on two types of servo controller is proposed. Two modified algorithms (algorithm I and II) for servo controller design are presented. Algorithm I is developed by adopting Davison's method in the case that the expressions for the homogeneous differential equations of reference input and disturbance are different types, and algorithm II is done by considering error weighting function for the servo controller of algorithm I . The linear fractional transformation method is incorporated in both design methods in order to assign the closed loop poles of the servo system in a specified region. The helicopter simulator is composed by the gimbals with two freedom of rolling and pitching. The reliability and validity for the design methods of the proposed servo controller are investigated through the practical experiment for the simulator by using 16bits micro-computer with A/D and D/A converters. It can be observered from the experimental results that the proposed servo controller is applicable to practical plants since the simulator is robust for the arbitrary disturbance and it follows to the given reference input without significant steady state error.

  • The development of a Marine Engine Room Simulator system for training and research is described. Development objectives of the system are for both student training, research and development work. The system includes a distributed server/client architecture for 1 to 1, or 1 to many client simulation operation through OPC server, complete separation of visual elements from the controlling routines and the ability to work on the mathematical model independent of the controller and visual systems. A graphical user interface for the man-machine interface has been developed and the mathematical model has been updated. Various engine room operational situations can be simulated. The use of marine engine room simulator for training of sea going engineers and its competency for STCW-95 is discussed.

육군 훈련교육에서 시뮬레이터 시스템의 지각된 교육효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on Percepted Education Effectiveness of Simulator System in the Army Training Education)

  • The main objective of this study is to show how to measure the education effectiveness of simulator system in the army. We investigate the education effectiveness through the measuring model that consists of three dimensions such as understanding, experience, and learning. The results of empirical analysis demonstrate that the education effectiveness depends on three dimensions. The result also suggests that the higher the degree of each dimension is, the higher the education effectiveness. However, there is no education effectiveness difference between the traditional training and the simulator training because of the elementary level of simulator function.

  • A study on the static type simulator will include an instructor's station, two cabs for ISA with visual and sound system, and realistic and accurate model of the trains operation. The simulator is easy to extend and maintenance using structured the S/W. The training of new drives requires that the environment of the cab, controls placement, etc. must highly realistic so that driver can readily transfer his training experience to the real world. The simulator detailed software model and extensive scenario design capability allows both for a wide variety of scenarios and accurately modeled response covering most aspects of brakes, rules, and faults.

인간공학실험용 항공기 모의비행훈련장비 개발 (Aircraft flight simulator development for ergonomics test)

  • An aircraft simulator for ergonomics testing and pilot training was developed from the joint work Agency for Defense Development(ADD) and Daewoo Heavy Industry, LTD, in Korea at first time. It is basically to satisfy the requirements established by FAA-AC-120-40C ( 1995-JAN-26). The aircraft simulator will be used mainly for ergonomics testing and pilot training for basic trainer on ADD and Korea Air Force in near futrue. This simulator reproduces faithfully the cockpit and flight characteristics of the KTX-1 aircraft. It is one of the latest full flight simulators that have the CGI(computer graphic image) visual system and six degree of freedom motions system. Development efforts focused on user-oriented design approach for ergonomics testing and flight training of pilots. Main characteristics of each subsystem are described such as cockpit, instruments, control loading system, motion system, visual system, aural system, instructor operation station and aircraft simulation softwear.

  • This paper designed the railway vehicle running device with a proto-type for the railway vehicle maintenance training and developed a propulsion control device simulator equipped the imitation steering wheel. In addition, this paper applied a multi-thread technology in order to implement the staged fault and the propulsion control device protected operation test and an implementation of the failure that occur in actual rail vehicle and confirm the validity as the propulsion control device simulator for the maintenance training.

  • The latest version of the HLA(High Level Architecture) standard developed by the US Department of Defense was established as an open and internal IEEE 1516 HLA standard in 2000. Commercial applications based on the IEEE 1516 have already developed in the non-defense industry. We participated in several development projects for NTS (Nuclear Training Simulator). Extensive modifications are necessary to make a new and/or upgraded NTS because the previously developed simulation softwares have not two desirable property: reusability and interoperability. We reviewed the IEEE 1516 specifications to develop NTS having the capability of reusability and interoperability. Our review activities were forced on application development process, supporting tools, and software structure of NTS. The primary goal of this review is to identify what are constraints or problems to be resolved when we apply IEEE 1516 to NTS development. In this paper we suggest several recommendations for NTS developers.
