  • The purpose of this study is to find customer satisfaction at take-out coffee shops by examining their choice attributes, and to find the operational suggestion of the shops by identifying relations between customer satisfaction and choice factors and by finding significant factors, in order to offer subsequential developments for take-out coffee shops. When it comes to choosing a take-out coffee shop, women are found to consider pleasantness, kindness, and warranty more than men do. By age, those in the thirties are found to think much of typicalness, pleasantness, and trust than people in any age do, while those under the twenties kindness. By job, it is found that office workers think typicalness, pleasantness to be important, while students trust The more customers are satisfied at trust and kindness, the more customers are willing to use the shop again. Thus, to make the better service of take-out coffee shops, it requires drastic, continuous training for employees, introduction of specific marketings, management of corporate brand images, manpower administration that will maximize profits with small members, continuous menu development, study of taste, stage preparation and standardized service quality techniques and know-how specific to a coffee shop that will lead customers to revisit the shop.

  • This paper is mainly associated with setting out an agenda for the transformation of security by creating a new framework for a security system, which can maximise its effectiveness. Noticeably, this research shows empirically that crimes are getting a major cost to organisations, which if reduced by security and investigations could reap substantial rewards to the finances of an organisation. However, the problem is that the delivery of security is frequently delegated to personnel (e.g. security guards) with limited training, inadequate education, and no real commitment to professionalism - 'sub-prime' security, finally causing security failures. Therefore, if security can be enhanced to reduce the crime cost, this will produce financial benefits to business, and consequently could produce a competitive advantage. For this, the paper basically draws upon Luke's theoretical framework for deconstructing 'power' into three dimensions. Using this three-dimensional approach, the paper further sets out a model of how security can be enhanced, utilising a new Security Risk Management (SRM) model, and how can this SRM model create competitive advantage in business. Finally, this paper ends with the six strategies needed to enhance the quality of security: refiguring as SRM, Professional Staff, Accurate Measurement, Prevention, Cultural Change, and Metrics.

  • The full automation welding has not yet been achieved partly because the mathematical model for the process parameters of a given welding task is not fully understood and quantified. Several mathematical models to control welding quality, productivity, microstructure and weld properties in arc welding processes have been studied. However, it is not an easy task to apply them to the various practical situations because the relationship between the process parameters and the bead geometry is non-linear and also they are usually dependent on the specific experimental results. Practically, it is difficult, but important to know how to establish a mathematical model that can predict the result of the actual welding process and how to select the optimum welding condition under a certain constraint. In this paper, an attempt has been made to develop an neural network model to predict the weld top-bead height as a function of key process parameters in the welding. and to compare the developed models using three different training algorithms in order to select an adequate neural network model for prediction of top-bead height.

  • With drinking water standards becoming more rigorous and increasing demands for additional water quantities, while water resources are becoming more polluted, mathematical models became an important tool to improve water treatment processes performance in the water supply system. Water treatment processes models reflect the knowledge of the processes and they are useful tools for water treatment process optimization, design, operator training for decision making and fundamental research. Unfortunately, in the current practice of drinking-water production and distribution, water treatment processes modeling is not successfully applied. This article presents a review of some existing water treatment processes simulators and the experience of their application and indicating the main weak points of each process. Also, new approaches in the modeling of water treatment are presented and recommendations are given for the work in the future.

  • Cervical cancer continues to be a serious public health problem in the developing world, including China. Because of its large population with geographical and socioeconomic inequities, China has a high burden of cervical cancer and important disparities among different regions. In this review, we first present an overview of the cervical cancer incidence and mortality over time, and focus on diversity and disparity in access to care for various subpopulations across geographical regions and socioeconomic strata in China. Then, we describe population-based cervical cancer screening in China, and in particular implementation of the National Cervical Cancer Screening Program in Rural Areas (NACCSPRA) and the challenges that this program faces. These include low screening coverage, shortage of qualified health care personnel and limited funds. To improve prevention of cervical cancer and obtain better cancer outcomes, the Chinese government needs to urgently consider the following key factors: reducing disparities in health care access, collecting accurate and broadly representative data in cancer registries, expanding target population size and increasing allocation of government funding for training of personnel, improving health education for women, enhancing quality control of screening services and improving a system to increase follow up for women with positive results.

  • The current situation of cancer registration in China was systematically reviewed. So far, cancer registration in China has been making a great progress in the following aspects: the number of cancer registries and covered population have increased dramatically; a registration network has been established and completed gradually; regulations and rules improved remarkably; more attention is being paid by every level of government; a lot of registration software has been created and financial support ensured. However, we are still facing some problems and challenges, such as no stable groups of registrars, shortage of training opportunities, poor data quality, insufficient utilization and lack of multidisciplinary mechanisms, so that the cancer registration system still needs to be enhanced and improved. Along with the development of economy, science and information technology, methods and patterns of cancer registration is changing. It is to be expected that cancer registration will be automatic, nationwide and integrated with community healthcare in the near future.
