A Study On Route Calculation Algorithm For Effective Air Traffic Flow Management (효율적인 항공교통흐름을 위한 항로 연산 알고리즘 연구)

  • According to the recent increase in air traffic more efficient air traffic control is required. This paper proposes the algorithm for efficient air traffic flow management. Aeronautical traffic environment is different from the common traffic environment since it needs vertical and horizontal separation deviation. In this paper used vincenty's fomula, we calculated distance of route for produced weight that was applied air traffic volume in distance of route using dijkstra algorithm. Then we let aircraft selects a course that minimize to wasting of fuel and time. As a simulation result, so unlilke simply shortest course calculation of existing course calculation algorithm, we confirmed that proposed algorithm in this paper can do air traffic control more efficiently by selecting optimized route.

Intrusion Detection Scheme Using Traffic Prediction for Wireless Industrial Networks

  • Detecting intrusion attacks accurately and rapidly in wireless networks is one of the most challenging security problems. Intrusion attacks of various types can be detected by the change in traffic flow that they induce. Wireless industrial networks based on the wireless networks for industrial automation-process automation (WIA-PA) standard use a superframe to schedule network communications. We propose an intrusion detection system for WIA-PA networks. After modeling and analyzing traffic flow data by time-sequence techniques, we propose a data traffic prediction model based on autoregressive moving average (ARMA) using the time series data. The model can quickly and precisely predict network traffic. We initialized the model with data traffic measurements taken by a 16-channel analyzer. Test results show that our scheme can effectively detect intrusion attacks, improve the overall network performance, and prolong the network lifetime.

A Study on the adaptive Connection Admission Control Method in ATM Networks (ATM망에서 적응적 연결수락제어 방법에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, an adaptive CAC(Connection Admission Control) method is proposed. The adaptive CAC uses traffic estimates derived from both traffic parameter specified by user and cell flow measurements. Traffic estimation using user-specified parameters is performed at every moment of connection request or connection release by recursive formula which makes real-time calculation possible. Traffic estimation using cell flow measurement is carried out when the number of connected calls does not change during a measurement reflection period-renewal period. The most import ant thing for the traffic estimation using cell flow measurement is the determination of the length of a renewal period to trace a real traffic flow with an allowable time lag and the measurement reflection ratio(MRR) both to reduce the portion of overestimation and to avoid underestimation of real traffic flow. To solve these problems, the adaptive CAC updates renewal period and MRR adaptively according to the number of connections and the elapsed time after last connection or release respectively. Performance analysis for the proposed method is evaluated in several aspects for the cases of both homogeneous and heterogeneous bursty traffic. Numerical examples show the adaptive CAC method has the better performance compared with conventional CAC method based on burst model from the both utilization and QOS point of view.

  • The end-to-end rate-based control mechanism is used for the flow control of the ABR service to allow much more flexibility in ATM switching system. To accommodate the ABR service effciently many algorithms such as EFCI, EPRCA, ERICA, and CAPC2 have been proposed for the switch algorithm. ABR cells and related RM cells are received at the ATM switch fabric transparently without any processing. And then cells received from the traffic source are queued in the ABR buffer of switching system. The ABR buffer usually has some thresholds for easy congestion control signal transmission. Whatever we use, therefore, these can be many ABR traffic control algorithms to implement the ABR transfer capability. The genertion of congestion indicate signal for ABR control algorithms is determined by ABR buffer satus. And ABR buffer status is determined by ABR cells transfer ratio in ATM switch fabrics. In this paper, we presented the functional structures for control of the ABR traffic capability, proposed the readout scheduling, cell slot allocation of output link and the buffer allocation model for effective ABR traffic guranteeing with considering CBR/VBR traffics in ATM switch. Since the proposed readout scheduling scheme can provide more avaliable space to ABR buffer than existing readout scheduling scheme, generation rate of a SEND signal, that is, BCN signal in destination node can be increased for ABR call connection. Therefore, the proposed scheme, in this paper, can be appropriate as algorithm for effective ABR traffic service on output link of ATM switching node.

  • In order to control the flow of traffics in ATM networks and optimize the usage of network resources, an efficient control mechanism is necessary to cope with congestion and prevent the degradation of network performance caused by congestion. To effectively control traffic in UNI(User Network Interface) stage, we proposed algorithm of integrated model using on-line teaming neural network for CAC(Call Admission Control) and UPC(Usage Parameter Control). Simulation results will show that the proposed adaptive algorithm uses of network resources efficiently and satisfies QoS for the various kinds of traffics.

  • End-to-end congestion control mechanism have been critical to the robustness and stability of the Internet. Most of today's Internet traffic is TCP, and we expect this to remain so in the future. TCP/IP is the intermediate transport layer candidate for today's applications. TCP uses an adaptive window-based flow control. The congestion avoidance and control algorithms deployed by TCP aims at using the available network bandwidth.   • An arterial street control is performed for the purpose of the progression of a traffic flow using the arterial. However during the progression in the arterial, the change according to the time is one of the most representative problems occurring at a signal plan. This paper intends to efficiently operate the arterial progression by applying fuzzy logic, which is thought to be the most possible one in the inference as that of the human logic, to the traffic responsive control system. Fuzzy Logic controller is appliable to the daily human language (linguistic). can be dealt with the uncertain traffic data and is useful on planning the signal control to sensitively confront the randomly changing traffic condition. This study, based on the signal control part of the isolated intersection in "A Development of a Real-time, Traffic Adaptive Control Scheme Through VIDs"(Seong Ho. Kim. 1996). suggested the strategy for the progression control in the arterial and analyzed its effect by comparing the effect of the existing control method. In addition, the study compared each effect by using TRAF-NETSIM which is the traffic simulation software to analyze each control method.

  • Due to recent increased air traffic,, air traffic controllers in charge of en-route and approach control have faced huge increase in both workload and its intensity. The purpose of this paper is to analyze how much safety culture of air traffic controllers has effect on their complexity mitigation strategies during their duties. It could be expected complexity mitigation improve air traffic flow resulting in enhancing safety eventually. According to empirical analysis against air traffic controllers in civil aviation and air force in South Korea, it was proven safety culture had a statistically positive effect on complex mitigation strategies through safety behavior. In safety culture among air traffic controllers, intrinsic culture had a positive effect on extrinsic value of safety culture. Intrinsic value of safety culture led to air traffic controllers' safety behavior which created work complexity mitigation strategies. Among work complexity mitigation strategies, communication and cooperation was proven to be the most important factor effected by safety culture and behavior. It was implied that enhancing the intrinsic values of safety culture would cause to improve extrinsic safety culture and air traffic controller's work efficiency.

  • In B-ISDN, to realize ATM, the optimum control method of multi-media traffic must be proposed. Because there is not the traffic model of multi-media to make clear, the realization of optimum ATM congestion control is very difficult. In this paper, the traffic model is assumed to be slowly time-variable non-linear function and for real-time prediction of it, new model which is composed with parallel triple neural networks is proposed. And the simulation to predict assumed ATM traffic is executed. From the result, it's capability is shown that the proposed neural network model can be used in ATM congestion control.

  • In this paper, we present the Q-learning method for adaptive traffic signal control on the basis of multi-agent technology. The structure is composed of sixphase agents and one intersection agent. Wireless communication network provides the possibility of the cooperation of agents. As one kind of reinforcement learning, Q-learning is adopted as the algorithm of the control mechanism, which can acquire optical control strategies from delayed reward; furthermore, we adopt dynamic learning method instead of static method, which is more practical. Simulation result indicates that it is more effective than traditional signal system.
