광투사 방법을 이용한 가로등 디자인 개선 (Improved Road light Design using Ray-tracing method)

  • In this study, it was studied about the improved road light design for drivers and pedestrians using ray- or reverse ray-tracing method. Many of conventional road lights are not suitable for drivers and pedestrians because it has some serious problems such as glare effect or randomicity of illuminated areas. It was oriented from customary design method which was pointed at simple target such as luminance or electrical power. But it was not truth any more that the high luminance or electrical power consumption mean more bright and good road light. We studied ray-tracing method for road light reflector design to get the several goals. It means that good road light has easy for drivers and pedestrians eyes and illuminating objects on the road clearly. So, we set the design targets such as uniformity on the road area per one road light, shading angles and continuous luminance uniformity on the long distance road. We designed ideal road light conditions using ray-tracing method. We set the height of drivers and pedestrians eyes and calculated design guideline to make above design targets. Then we designed road light reflector using reverse ray-tracing method. And we achieved same luminance on the road almost half power consumption because we reduced loss of light. We achieved ideal design guide as 75 degrees of shading angles and 0.5 of luminance uniformity on the road area. Finally, we suggested reflector design for 250 watts power consumption CDM light source.

  • Traitor Tracing schemes are broadcast encryption systems where at least one of the traitors who were implicated in the construction of a pirate decoder can be traced. This traceability is required in various contents delivery system like satellite broadcast, DMB, pay-TV, DVD and so on. In this paper, we propose a public key traitor tracing scheme with key-update method. If the system manager can update a secret key which is stored in an authorized decode, it makes a pirate decoder useless by updating a secret key A pirate decoder which cannot update a secret key does not decrypt contents in next session or during tracing a traitor, this scheme has merits which will make a pirate decoder useless, therefore this scheme raises the security to a higher level.

A Close Contact Tracing Method Based on Bluetooth Signals Applicable to Ship Environments

  • There are still outbreaks of COVID-19 across the world. Ships increase the risk of worldwide transmission of the virus. Close contact tracing remains as an effective method of reducing the risk of virus transmission. Therefore, close contact tracing in ship environments becomes a research topic. Exposure Notifications API (Application Programming Interface) can be used to determine the encountered location points of close contacts on ships. Location points of close contact are estimated by the encountered location points. Risky areas in ships can be calculated based on the encountered location points. The tracking of close contacts is possible with Bluetooth technology without the Internet. The Bluetooth signal can be used to judge the proximity among detecting devices by using the feature that Bluetooth has a strong signal at close range. This Bluetooth feature makes it possible to trace close contacts in ship environments. In this paper, we propose a method for close contact tracing and showing the risky area in a ship environment by combining beacon and Exposure Notification API using Bluetooth technology. This method does not require an Internet connection for tracing close contacts and can protect the personal information of close contacts.

사운드 트레이싱을 위한 적응형 깊이 조절 알고리즘 (Adaptive depth control algorithm for sound tracing)

  • 본 논문에서는 현실감을 높이기 위한 청각적 기술로 기하학적 방법을 사용하는 광선 추적(ray-tracing) 기반의 3D Sound rendering기술인 Sound-tracing을 사용한다. Sound-tracing은 사운드 전파(sound propagation)단계에서 많은 비용이 든다. 사운드 전파 비용을 감소시키기 위해 제안하는 알고리즘은 이전 프레임들의 평균 유효 frame 수를 계산하고 그 수치를 기반으로 공간에 따른 depth를 조절하는 방법이다. 실험 결과 depth를 조절하지 않은 결과와 비교하면 음원이 실내에 있었을 때 path 손실률은 0.72%이고 탐색 및 충돌검사 단계(traversal & Intersection test)가 85.13%의 계산량 감소를 보이고 전체 frame rate는 4.48% 증가하였다. 음원이 실외에 있었을 때 path 손실률은 0%이고 탐색 및 충돌검사 단계가 25.01%의 계산량 감소를 보이고 전체 frame rate가 7.85% 증가하였다. 이는 path 손실률을 최소화하면서 렌더링 성능을 올릴 수 있었다.

  • Tailor-welded blanks are used for forming of automobile structural skin components. The main objective of this study is to achieve weight and cost reduction in manufacturing of components. For successful application of tailor-welded blanks, design of initial welded blanks and prediction of the welding line movement are critical. The utilization of the backward tracing scheme of the finite element method shows to be desirable in design of initial welded blanks for net-shape production and in prediction of the welding line movement. First the design of the initial blank in forming of welded thick sheet with isotropy is tried, and it appears successful in obtaining a net-shape stamping product. Based on the first trial approach, the backward tracing scheme is applied to anisotropic tailored blanks. The welding line movement is also discussed.

  • This paper proposes the simulation algorithm of rear lamp of car using a ray tracing method that models transmission and refraction of light frequently used in computer graphics At first. To reproduce an image accurately. incident on a sight of viewer, we propose the backward ray tracing method based on spectral distribution representing physical characteristics of illuminant and object used in real. We implement the reproduction algorithm of rear lamp image applying the Bouguer-Beer's law to an optical absorptive phenomenon. As the result, more realistic image can be reproduced.

  • Visibility of the flow of goods is an important service element when considering how to improve the quality of a logistics service. Registered mail service of Korea Post, one of logistics service providers, currently supply information on the handling of postal items, such as receipts and delivery and arrival times to customers. However, internally problems related to excessive spending on operating expenses and less reliable tracking and tracing information exist due to errors in the information acquisition and link handling processes, leading to unnecessarily duplicated tasks. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to propose process optimization method for improving the quality of tracking and tracing information for registered mail items. We analyzed the process and information control system of the current registered mail service and identified the basic causes of the existence of less reliable tracking and tracing information. And we present optimized mail handling and information management process for removing internal problems. Test results using tracking and tracing information examples show a significant performance of the proposed method.

  • This paper presents a workflow validation method for data-intensive graphical workflow models using real-time workflow tracing mode on data-intensive workflow designer. In order to model and validate workflows, we try to divide as modes have editable mode and tracing mode on data-intensive workflow designer. We could design data-intensive workflow using drag and drop in editable-mode, otherwise we could not design but view and trace workflow model in tracing mode. We would like to focus on tracing-mode for workflow validation, and describe how to use workflow tracing on data-intensive workflow model designer. Especially, it is support data centered operation about control logics and exchange variables on workflow runtime for workflow tracing.

사출성형시 굴절율 변화를 고려하기 위한 플라스틱 비구면 렌즈의 광선추적기법 (Ray Tracing of a Plastic Aspheric Lens by Considering Index Distribution Induced from Injection Molding)

  • The present study covers an integrated simulation method to evaluate optical performance of an aspheric plastic lens by connecting an injection molding analysis with a ray tracing simulation. Traditional ray tracing methods have based on the assumption that the optical properties of a lens are homogeneous throughout the entire volume. This assumption is to a certain extent unrealistic for injection-molded plastic lenses because material properties vary at every point due to the injection molding effects. To take into account the effects of the inhomogeneous optical properties of the molded lens, a numerical scheme is developed to calculate the distribution of refractive index induced from the injection molding process. This index distribution is then reflected onto CODE $V^{(R)}$ simulation and used to calculate ray paths in inhomogeneous media. The proposed tracing scheme is implemented on the tracing of an aspheric lens for a mobile phone camera module.
