This study attempted to determine the influence of organizational structure on the novelty preference for corporate meeting destination choice. The three dimensions of structure incorporated were formalization, centralization and complexity. A total of 75 corporate meeting planners drawn from public listed services organizations were involved. The main method of data collection was questionnaire survey and multiple regression analysis was employed as the main statistical technique. The results revealed that both formalization and centralization were negatively correlated with novelty preference while complexity was positively correlated. However, only complexity contributed significantly to the prediction of novelty preference for corporate meeting destination choice. The main implication of this study is pertaining to the segmentation and targeting of the corporate meeting market. This study helped in bridging the gap between tourism marketing and organizational research. It also contributed by developing the measurement for novelty preference from the context of experiential marketing.
A travel destination offers a form of novelty to the traveler since it can provide experiences that are not of the everyday variety. Therefore, a search for novelty is important as a motivation factor when planning leisure trips and vacation activities and to identify travel market segments. This study aimed to examine the differences in demographic characteristics, travel style, and preferred food-related activities in accordance with the level of tourists' novelty seeking. This study investigated potential tourists using a self-administered questionnaire survey, which resulted in 300 usable questionnaires. The respondents of this study were classified into two groups according to their level of novelty seeking: Active novelty-seeking group and Passive novelty-seeking group. These two groups were significantly different with respect to demographic characteristics, travel style, and preference of food-related-activity experience. The results show that the Active novelty-seeking group tended to have a higher proportion of females and specialized jobs, a higher level of monthly income and education, more frequent travel, and preference for food-related activity experience than other groups. The result of this study will be helpful for the tourist industry, which needs to develop culinary and food-related experience tour programs and travel market segments.
This study investigates the antecedents and mechanisms influencing trust and behavioral intentions formation towards new AI chatbots, such as ChatGPT, as travel information searching services. Analyzing the roles of variables such as familiarity, novelty, personal innovativeness, information quality and perceived anthropomorphism, the research elucidates the impact of these factors on users' cognitive and affective trust, ultimately affecting their intention to adopt information and sustain the use of the AI chatbot. Results indicate that perceived familiarity and information quality positively influence both cognitive and affective trust, whereas perceived novelty contributes positively only to cognitive trust. Additionally, the personal innovativeness of new AI chatbot users was found to weaken the effect of familiarity on perceived trust, while the perceived level of anthropomorphism of the chatbot amplified the effects of novelty and familiarity on cognitive trust. These findings underscore the importance of considering factors such as familiarity, personal innovativeness, information quality and anthropomorphism in the design and implementation of AI chatbots, affecting trust and behavioral intention.

Travel motivations appear particularly useful in describing those individuals who visit a specific travel attraction versus those who do not visit the attraction. Novelty seeking is an important motivator for traveling today. In this study four factors and three groups resulting from a cluster analysis were tested in determination for 13 preference and 21 motivators. The major finding of this study are as follows: Prior consideration in oversea travel for people is to expect to contact new culture and exotic environment. In the selection of oversea travel with the level of novelty seeking traits, rhere is meaningfull diffrences. In the novelty seeking levels of leisure activities remarkable difference appeared in the selective degree variables and the examination of the gap. In the selection of oversea with the novelty seeking level it displayed meaningful differences in the 10 items. In a travel in accordance with levels of novelty seeking- which is divided into groups high, medial, and, low level of novelty seeking groups- four elements of their levels demonstrated meaningful differences, such as adventure seeking type, out-of-ordinary life type, fun seeking type and free travel type. In order words, the means of high-concerned group, medial, and ldw-concerned group showed remarkable differemndes.
This survey was performed with 262 dwellers who live in the city from April 1 to 30, 2009. The following analysis methods were executed; frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis. This study analyzed the relationship between rural tourism motivation and rural experiential tourism program preference of city dwellers. Rural tourism motivations are novelty experience, advantageousness, self-attainment, aesthetics, deviation, relationship, relaxation, and nature-scenery. And rural experiences are divided into farmhouse life experience, traditional rural culture experience, outdoor activities experience, wellbeing healthcare experience. Indonesia has successfully increased its ranking to 40th place in the 2019 Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index. While tourism has become the country's second largest foreign exchange contributor, there is no existing competitive advantage model for Indonesian tourist destinations. The purpose and novelty of this study is to develop and formulate a competitive advantage model for Indonesia's tourism industry. The model will be based on the supply-side perception analysis of competitiveness indicators from Bali and five designated super-priority destinations in Indonesia. This model is expected to become a guideline for policymakers to design an effective and focused strategy. Data were obtained from in-depth interviews with, and questionnaires given to, 62 qualified industry players from the public and private sectors. This data-driven approach builds a relationship between competitiveness indicators and competitive advantages using a combination of importance-performance analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, thereby leveraging these advantages to generate a strategic model to compete in the international tourism industry. This would also be the first study to use this method in defining the competitive advantage of a destination. Using structural equation modeling, the study found that there are 54 indicators representing twelve dimensions of competitive advantages with good fit criteria.

The relevance of the published study lies in the fact that since the introduction of the first Global Distribution System, new information and communication technologies have constantly been changing the tourism industry. In the context of a current digital environment, travel agencies can't avoid participating in digital transformation processes aimed at rethinking operational models, skills, and organisational structures in the regions. This publication aims to present and provide a critical overview of digitalisation processes in tourism development in the regions of the Russian Federation, as well as to reflect on the challenges to the widespread digitalisation processes in the regional tourism sector. The subject of research is digitalisation processes, as they radically transform the modern tourism industry, in the regions as well. The pragmatic research paradigm was considered the most appropriate for the study of tourism digitalisation processes in the regions, as it does not require the selection of a specific theoretical basis for data collection. The pragmatic approach forms an alternative to classical theoretical approaches and serves as a particular type of grounded theory, combining both inductive and deductive methods. No software was used for the inductive part of the analysis. The deductive part was conducted using the qualitative data analysis software Nvivo 11. Given the wide diversity of interested parties in the regional tourism digital area, a stratified purposive sampling method was preferred due to its ability to adequately represent the full picture of the phenomenon under study. The selection and stratum criteria were chosen to maximise the representation of different perspectives in the regional tourism digital area. The novelty of the study is due to the digitalisation processes, with an implication of new needs, while opening up promising opportunities for more productive tourism business in the regions of the Russian Federation. Currently, e-tourism in the Russian Federation has become a subject of lively debate among scholars and practitioners. However, the involvement of advanced digitalisation technologies in the field of information processes in the regions of the Russian Federation is of a very sporadic character.
This study is what I tried to know on a magnitude of Novelty in a tourist souvenir. A purpose of sightseeing development is to satisfy a sightseeing experience of various tourists. Novelty of a tourist souvenir is to make an experience with unique pleasure for only the sightseeing place that is not the place of residence to be able to feel. It must be a thing of the new level that it is not for a tourist to already know it, and it was not able to forecast. The tourist knew that I bought an emotional impulse than rational purchase through study. Therefore, you must take the Novelty element that a firm name works on in a perception of a customer as an important due in a souvenir plan. Reference wishes to work in tourist souvenir design development participants through this study result.

Ecotourism has a concept of conservation as a basis, for economic and social values are derived from the sustainable use of natural resources. This study aims to introduce natural landscape of the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland and to describe its conservation and tourism in the Park, in order to provide the implication of landscape conservation of National Parks in Korea. Although the National Parks of Scotland were officially established long after those of England and Wales, their important features had already been internationally recognised and designated as Sites of Special Scientific Interest(SSSI), National Nature Reserve(NNR), or National Scenic Area(NSA). These focus on landscape conservation and are managed by Scottish Natural Heritage(SNH). The Cairngorms National Park focuses on landscape conservation and recreation, and has been the subject of a number of initiatives attempting to assess landscape resource potential and its current and future management. This implies that a carefully preserved landscape has the effect of a tourism resource in which tourists look for novelty embedded in the typicality of the landscape of the National Park. The typical landscape which is conserved in the Cairngorms National Park is understood as both an objective representative and a subjective ideal involving the meaning of the landscape. This is implicit in the tourist booklet that promotes the sightseeing activities of tourists. It is thus important that National Parks should be focused both on managing landscape as well as promoting tourism.
