  • Purpose: Although many studies have addressed destination marketing concepts, the relationship between beach tourists' memorable tourism experience (MTE), revisit intention and electronic word of mouth (eWOM) remains unknown. To address this issue, the authors established a model to investigate the effects of MTE's dimensions on revisit intention and eWOM. Research design, data and methodology: Drawing on 581 questionnaires from domestic beach tourists in Vietnam, a quantitative study approach was administered to empirically analyze a partial least squares path model in PLS-SEM. Results: The findings revealed that four dimensions of MTE including hedonism, local culture, meaningfulness and involvement have positive influence on beach tourists' revisit intention. Besides, meaningfulness and knowledge directly affect eWOM. It is worth noting that beach tourists' revisit intention significantly and directly influence their eWOM. The findings also confirm the indirect effects of hedonism, local culture, meaningfulness and involvement on eWOM through the mediating role of revisit intention. Conclusions: This study will be important to determine beach tourists' behavior through each dimension of MTE. This study also emphasizes on the direct effect of beach tourists' revisit intention on eWOM, as well as confirms its mediating role in the relation between MTE and eWOM. The findings will assist policymakers and destination marketers with strategies and effective future actions.

For this study, an onsite survey was conducted to tourists of 35 rural tourism farms. A total of 408 samples were collected for the analysis. The SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 18.0 statistical package were used for frequency, reliability, exploratory factor, confirmatory factor, and path analysis. Through exploratory factor analysis, four dimensions of rural tourism activity attribute were identified from 20 variables: 'human resource', 'activity', 'rural culture', and 'facility and environment'. The results of structural equation modelling indicate that 'human resource', 'activity', 'rural culture' had positive effect on behavioral intention. Through the results, agritourism farm operators will be able to develop effective marketing strategy and management skill.

This study is to find out the definition and category of mobile tourism application through research of preceding study and to fomulate the research model and hypothesis that how tourism application attributes (convenience, interaction, accessibility, local basis, security) affect constant intention to use of mobile tourism application. In order to verify a hypothesis, we conducted a survey for Chinese users of tourism application. In empirical study, we analyzed a structure model for frequency analysis, reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis, validity analysis through IBM SPSS Statistics 21.0 and IBM SPSS AMOS 21.0 Results - Among tourism applications, convenience, interaction, accessibility and local basis have positive effects on both perceived usefulness and perceived easiness respectively. But security does not. Also perceived easiness has a positive effect on perceived usefulness. Finally, perceived usefulness and perceived easiness have positive effect on constant intent to use. Conclusions - Tourism application enterprises should put emphasis on design such as menu or function in order to simplify the operation of new services for new customers. Therefore, comfortable user interface and development of useful function can improve tourism application. Consequently, it leads to the promotion of tourism application. Also, when users perceive tourism application as a useful media which is easy, comfortable and useful content, the degree of constant intention to use becomes increased. It is important to provide plentiful and useful contents for customers and to develop user interface such as easy operation because these factors have positive effects on constant demand and use of tourism application.

  • With the advent of the era of mass tourism in China and people's yearning for a better life, the demand for family tourism is increasing. This paper adds the filial piety concept variable to the original model based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB). It tests the influence mechanism of attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavior control and filial piety on the intention of family tourism behavior. The results show that; Attitude and subjective norms have significant influence on the intention of family tourism behavior; Perceptual behavior control has no significant influence on the intention of family tourism behavior; Mutual filial piety has a significant impact on family tourism behavior and authoritative filial piety has no significant effect on family tourism decision-making behavior. This conclusion expands the application boundary of the theory of planned behavior in the study of family tourism behavior intentions, and provides application reference for tourists and tourism enterprises.
