대형 인공호에서 무기 질소원에 대한 점오염원 및 유입수의 영향 (An Influence of Point-Source and Flow Events on Inorganic Nitrogen Fractions in a Large Artificial Reservoir)

  • 본 연구는 1993${\sim}$1994년 대청호 17개 조사지점에서 점오염원 및 계절적 유입수에 대한 무기질소원의 다변적 동태에 대하여 평가하였다. 연구기간 동안 총질소(TN)는 평균 1.53 mg/L으로, $0.70{\sim}2.56\;mg/L$ 범위에 있었다. 용존 무기질소(DIN)는 계절 및 조사지점에 관계없이 총질소의 90%이상을 차지하여 질소가 풍부한 부영양-과영양 상태의 호수임이 확인되었다. 용존 무기질소의 $67{\sim}94%$는 질산성-질소인 반면, 암모니아성-질소는 용존 무기질소의 5%이하로 구성되었다. 1993년 장마동안 질산성-질소는 빗물과 호수물의 혼합의 결과로서 상류역에서 희석된 반면, 암모니아성-질소는 장마 전에 비해 100%이상 증가를 보였다. 암모니아성-질소는 강우량과 정 상관관계(r=0.85; p<0.001)를 보였고, 수 체류시간(r = -0.90; p<0.001) 및 전기전도도 (r = -0.78, p<0.001)와는 역 상관관계를 보였다. 이런 결과에 따르면, 암모니아성-질소는 장마기에 호수 외부로부터 유입되었음을 제시한다. 연구기간 2년 모두 평균 총질소는 호수내 상류 및 하류에서보다 가두리 양식장 및 폐수 처리장이 위치한 중류역에서 높았다. 중류역에서 이런 특성은 유입량이 적은 1994년하절기 동안 점 오염원에서 축적된 오염부하 증가의 결과로서 가장 심화되었다. 본 인공호에서 총질소 분포는 호수내 상${\cdot}$하류역 사이에 큰 차이를 보이지 않았고, 유입량 보다는 점오염원에 의해 직접적으로 결정되는 것으로 사료된다.

원격수위계측기를 이용한 강우유출 분석에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Analysis of Stormwater Runoff Using RMS (Remote Monitoring System))

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the quantitative change of water resources using RMS(Remote Monitoring System) which takes real time data with high reliability. Also, the characteristic of stormwater runoff was understood by the application of the above system for three streams (Jiam, Yulmun, and Gongji stream) in Chuncheon City. The detailed results of these studies are as follows; RMS(Remote Monitoring System) was constructed by the combination of the automatic water-level meter, which measures water-level of streams at all times, and the wireless communication system sending real-time data from the meter. This system is used to evaluate the stormwater runoff in watersheds and the quantitative changes of streams. It is possible to overcome the limit of field investigations needed, which takes a lot of manpower and time, and it is very efficient to provide the reliable flowrate data. Also, it can be applied to the disaster prevention system for flood because the change of flowrate in stream is monitored at real-time. For 3 streams with different watershed characteristics, correlation equations induced from the relation analysis results. In terms of the relation between water-level and flowrate, flowrate was increased rapidly as the water-level rises in case of small watershed and steep slope. The application results of the proposed system for 3 streams (Jiam, Yulmun, Gongji) in Chuncheon city are as follows; The remote monitoring system was very useful for acquisition of the flow rate in stream that are basic data to understand pollutants runoff in watershed. In case of no-rainy day, the runoff ratio for pollutant loading rate was the highest level in Yulmun stream(BOD:2.3%, TN:20.2%, TP:1.2%). So, it shows the management of pollution source is needed such as rehabilitation of sewer line. Runoff ratio of total phosphorus by rainfall in Gongji watershed was increased about 19 times than no-rainy day, which is estimated as the influence of sewer overflow.

논 관개수, 담수 및 유출수의 용존인과 총인 농도 변화 (Variations of Dissolved and Total Phosphorus Concentrations in Irrigation, Flooding, and Drainage Water of Paddy Fields)

  • In order to understand the characteristics of phosphorus in the paddy field, this study analyzed $PO_4-P$ and T-P concentrations of irrigation water, flooding water, and runoff from 2008 to 2010. The variation of phosphorous form within hydrologic cycle around the rice paddy field was investigated using the ratio of $PO_4-P$ to TP. In addition, the correlation between pH, EC, and DO in flooding water was analyzed and the factors affecting phosphorus form in paddy field were investigated. The concentration of T-P in flooding water was high during the survey period, and the concentration of T-P in runoff was assumed to be decreased by dilution due to irrigation and rainfall. On the other hand, the ratio of $PO_4-P$ to T-P was lower in flooding water than those of irrigation water and runoff, which was interpreted to be due to the fact that the phosphorus fertilizer was applied in the paddy field but the adsorption was rapidly occurred to the paddy field by the soil. The similar proportions of $PO_4-P$ to T-P in flooding water and runoff suggest that the form of phosphorus outflowed from the paddy is influenced by the form of phosphorus in the flooding water of paddy field. In addition, DO concentration in flooding water showed negative correlation with the concentrations of $PO_4-P$ and T-P. The effort to survey frequent irrigation water quality data is required for the analysis of phosphorus behavior in the paddy water system since concentration of phosphorous and DO in irrigation water would influence rhe form of phosphorous in flooding water and subsequent runoff.

전북지역 쯔쯔가무시증 발생과 기후요소의 상호 관련성 (Association between Scrub Typhus Outbreaks and Meteorological Factors in Jeollabuk-do Province)

  • Objectives: Scrub typhus is one of the most prevalent vector-borne diseases. It is caused by Orientia tsutsugamushi, which is transmitted when people are bitten by infected chigger mites. This study aims at quantifying the association between the incidence of scrub typhus and meteorological factors in Jeollabuk-do Province over the period 2001-2015. Methods: Reported cases of scrub typhus were collected from the website of the Disease Web Statistical System supported by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC). Simultaneous meteorological data, including temperature, rainfall, relative humidity, and sunshine duration were collected from the website of the National Climate Data Service System by the Korea Meteorological Administration. Correlation and regression analyses were applied to identify the association between the incidence of scrub typhus and meteorological factors. Results: The general epidemiological characteristics of scrub typhus in Jeollabuk-do Province were similar to those nationwide for sex, age, and geographical distribution. However, the annual incidence rate (i.e., cases per 100,000) of scrub typhus in Jeollabuk-do Province was approximately four times higher than all Korea's 0.9. The number of total cases was the highest proportion at 13.3% in Jeonbuk compared to other regions in Korea. The results of correlation analysis showed that there were significant correlations between annual cases of scrub typhus and monthly data for meteorological factors such as temperature and relative humidity in late spring and summer, especially in the case of temperature in May and June. The results of regression analysis showed that determining factors in the regression equation explaining the incidence of scrub typhus reached 46.2% and 43.5% in May and June. Using the regression equation, each 1oC rise in the monthly mean temperature in May or June may lead to an increase of 38 patients with scrub typhus compared to the annual mean of incidence cases in Jeollabuk-do Province. Conclusion: The result of our novel attempts provided rational evidence that meteorological factors are associated with the occurrence of scrub typhus in Jeollabuk-do. It should therefore be necessary to observe the trends and predict patterns of scrub typhus transmission in relation to global-scale climate change. Also, action is urgently needed in all areas, especially critical regions, toward taking steps to come up with preventive measures against scrub typhus transmission.

토석류 위험지역에 영향하는 산림환경 특성 분석 (Influenced on Analysis of Characteristics of Forest Environmental Factors on Debris Flow Occurrence)

  • 이 연구는 토석류 위험지역 총 272개소에서 토석류 유출에 영향을 미치는 20개의 산림환경인자에 대하여 산림환경 특성을 분석하였다. 입지환경인자 중 토심은 하(30 미만), 방위는 서쪽사면, 표고는 200~300 m, 산지평균경사는 $25{\sim}30^{\circ}$, 토질은 사양토, 모암은 화성암, 사면형은 복합사면이 토석류 위험이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 강우환경인자 중 최대시우량은 50~100 mm, 1일최대강우량은 300 m 이상이 토석류 위험이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 유역환경인자 중 계상평균경사는 $10{\sim}20^{\circ}$, 계상평균폭은 10 m 미만, 계상에 있는 토석의 양은 적음(계상구성물 중 20% 미만), 수계밀도는 $1km/km^2$이내, 산사태 발생 가능성이 있는 경사 $20^{\circ}$ 이상의 분포비율은 40~60%, 산사태 위험도 2등급 이상 비율은 40~60%, 유목이 있는 상태, 사방공작물 시설이 있는 경우, 임상환경인자 중 영급은 3영급, 소밀도는 밀, 임상은 혼효림 등의 인자가 토석류 위험이 높은 것으로 나타났다.

2005년 우리나라 습성강하물의 특성과 분포 (A Characteristics and Distributions of Wet Deposition in Korea, 2005)

  • This study was carried out to characteristics and distributions of acid deposition in Korea. Precipitation was collected by acid deposition monitoring networks and analyzed for pH, conductivity, and following major ionic components $SO_4^{2-}$, $CI^-$, $NO_3^-$, $NH_4^+$, $Na^+$, $K^+$, $Ca^{2+}$, $Mg{2+}$. During the investigation period, Volume weighted annual mean pH of precipitation in Korea is 4.8, showing slightly acidic level. The amount of rainfall in the range of pH 5.1$\sim$5.5 charged approximately 28% of annual precipitation,23.4% in pH 4.6$\sim$5.0, and contributed 16.2% under pH 4.5. Among seasons, alkaline precipitation has occurred more often in spring, meanwhile acidic precipitation in which pH is under 4.5 has frequently occurred in autumn. Volume weighted annual mean concentrations of $SO_4^{2-}$, $NO_3^-$, $CI^-$ are 2.558 mg/L, 1.590 mg/L, 1.286 mg/L respectively, and provided that $SO_4^{2-}$, is the major contributor, followed by $NO_3^-$, $CI^-$. In case of cation, annual mean concentration for $NH_4^+$, $Na^+$, $K^+$, $Ca^{2+}$, $Mg{2+}$, $H^+$ are 0.693 mg/L, 0.528 mg/L, 0.439 mg/L, 0.455 mg/L, 0.089 mg/L,0.015 mg/L, and $NH_4$ were decided as the main contributor, followed by $Na^+$, $K^+$, $Ca^{2+}$, $Mg{2+}$, $H^+$. Annual wet deposition rate for sulfate, nitrate and ammonia are $3.316gm^{-2}yr^{-1}$, $2.057gm^{-2}yr{-1}$, $0.894gm^{-2}yr{-1}$, respectively, and it was founded that the deposition flux in summer contributes about 38.42% to 67.62% to total deposition.

신설임도(新設林道)의 초기침식량(初期侵蝕量)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Studies on Erosion Amount of the Newly - Constructed Forest Road)

  • 이 연구는 임도구조(林道構造) 및 강우(降雨) 특성(特性)이 신설임도(新設林道)에서의 초기침식(初期浸蝕)에 미치는 영향(影響)을 구명(究明)하고, 임도신설구역(林道新設區域)에서의 침식량(浸蝕量)을 파악(把握)하기 위하여 서울대학교(大學校) 농생대(農生大) 부속(附屬) 남부연습림(南部演習林) 자운산(自雲山) 지구(地區)에 임도(林道)가 개설(開設)된 구역(區域)을 대상으로 임도신설(林道新設) 직후 2년동안 초(初) 성토사면(盛土斜面), 노면(路面), 측구(側溝) 등 임도(林道) 각(各) 구조부(構造部)에서 발생(發生)되는 침식량(浸蝕量)과 강우(降雨) 및 임도구조(林道構造) 인자(因子)와의 관계(關係)를 조사(調査) 분석(分析)하였다. 임도(林道) 각(各) 구조부(構造部)의 설계(設計) 인자(因子)의 조합(組合)으로 이루어진 다종회귀식(多種回歸式)들은 임도(林道) 각(各) 구조부별(構造部別) 침식량(浸蝕量) 변동(變動) 설명(說明)에 유의(有意)하였다. 이 임도개발구역(林道開發區域)에서 임도신설후(林道新設後) 2년간(年間)(1993~1994)의 임도(林道) 1km당(當) 총침식량(總浸蝕量)은 658.51m/km였으며, 임도(林道) 초기침식량(初期浸蝕量)의 약 21.9%(144.27m/km)는 초기사면(初期斜面)에서, 39.8%(261.89m/km)는 성토사면(盛土斜面)에서 8.1%(53.33m/km)는 노면(路面)에서, 30.2%(199.02m/km)는 측구(側溝)에서 발생되었다.

산지돌발홍수 예측을 위한 TOPLATS 지표해석모델 적용성 평가 (The Evaluation of TOPLATS Land Surface Model Application for Forecasting Flash Flood in mountainous areas)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 TOPLATS 지표해석모형으로부터 생산된 격자 수문기상성분과 통계적 돌발홍수지수모형을 이용하여 격자 돌발홍수지수를 생산하고 그 적용성을 평가하는데 있다. 대상유역은 2009~2012년동안 38건의 돌발홍수 구조요청 사례가 발생한 수도권 지역을 선정하였다. 지표해석모형의 시공간 해상도는 1 h, 1 km 이며 동일한 해상도의 모의를 위해 필요한 격자 기상자료는 기상청 AWS (automatic weather stations)의 시단위 자료를 역거리법을 이용하여 구축하였다. 돌발홍수 피해사례 38건에 대해 대응되는 모의격자의 수문성분을 분석하였으며 27건(71%)에서 구조요청시점에 대해 강우량, 지표유출량, 토양수분량, 지하수면깊이가 적절하게 모의되는 것을 확인하였다. 강우조건에 따른 격자 돌발홍수지수의 정확도는 구조요청시점 기준 선행시간 4~6시간까지 71~87%, 구조요청시점으로 한정된 0시간에서 42~52%로 나타났다. 이상의 결과로부터 지표해석모델을 이용한 격자 수문성분과 통계적 돌발홍수지수모형으로부터 산정된 격자 돌발홍수지수는 산지 돌발홍수를 예측하는데 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

북한에 상륙한 태풍의 기후학적 특성 (The Climatological Characteristics of the Landfall Typhoons on North Korea)

  • In this study, the climatological characteristics of the landfall typhoons on North Korea are surveyed to estimate the frequency, the intensity, the track, and their damage. The data for the period of 1951-2008 are used from both RSMC (Regional Specialized Meteorological Center) Tokyo Typhoon Center and NCEP/NCAR (National Centers for Environmental Prediction/National Center for Atmospheric Research), EM-DAT (Emergency Events Database). There are the ten highest frequencies from 1961 to 1965 and is one frequency for the period of both 1966-1979 and 1976-1980 respectively. Even if a clear trend on the frequency of typhoon is not defined, it is noticeable the intensity has been weak since the frequency of TS (Tropical Storm) decreased. In order to figure out both the characteristic of intensity and the relation between the typhoon track and the expansion of North Pacific High (NPH), Typhoon's tracks are classified into three types as follows: (I) landing on the west coast of North Korea through the mainland of China, (II) landing on the west coast of North Korea, (III) landing on a central/eastern part of the Korean peninsula through South Korea. More often than not, the characteristic of Type (I) is the case of a landfall after it becomes extratropical cyclone. Type(II) and Type(III) show a landfall as TS grade, by comparision. On the relation between the typhoon's track and the expansion of NPH analyzed, Type (I) shows the westward expansion while both Type (II) and Type (III) show the northward expansion and development of NPH. This means the intensity of a typhoon landfall on North Korea is variable depending on the development of NPH. Finally, only two cases are found among total five cases in EM-DAT, reportedly that North Korea was damaged. And therefore, the damage by the wind of Prapiroon (the $12^{th}$ typhoon, 2000) and heavy rainfall with Rusa (the $15^{th}$ typhoon, 2002) landing on North Korea was analyzed. Moreover, it is estimated both Prapiroon and Rusa have done badly damaged to North Korea as the economical losses of as much as six billion and five hundred-thousand US dollar, respectively.

창원시 북면 낙동강 주변 하성퇴적층의 지하수유동 모델링 연구 (A Study on Groundwater Flow Modeling in the Fluvial Aquifer Adjacent to the Nakdong River, Book-Myeon Area, Changwon City)

  • 창원시는 전국에서 최초로 2001년에 북면과 대산면에 강변여과수 취수장을 건설하여 운영하고 있다. 본 연구는 창원시 북면 낙동강 본류 하안의 강변여과수 취수장 주변에 대해서 수리지질 특성을 평가하고 낙동강과 강변대수층간의 지하수유동 모델링을 수행하였다. 이를 통하여 강변여과수 취수에 따른 낙동강물과 지하수 유입량을 평가하였다. 지하수모델링에서는 시추자료, 입도분석자료, 양수시험분석자료, 지하수위 측정자료, 낙동강 수위 측정자료, 강수량 자료를 이용하였다. 정상류 모델링으로 강변여과수 취수 이전의 자연상태의 지하수위를 잘 모사할 수 있었다. 부정류 상태 모델링에서는 7개 취수정의 최대 양수량인 총 14,000$m^3$/day로 취수시의 지하수위 하강을 모사하였으며, 이때 낙동강으로부터의 유입량, 배후지쪽의 지하수 유입량 그리고 강변대수층의 동측과 서측으로부터 유입량은 전체 유입량의 각각 8,390$m^3$/day(60%), 590$m^3$/day(4%), 5,020$m^3$/day(36%)이다. 입자 추적 모사 결과, 낙동강쪽으로부터 취수정 쪽으로의 유입속도는 약 1.85m/day이고, 배후지로부터 취수정 쪽으로의 유입속도는 약 0.75m/day이다. 본 연구는 지표수/지하수 연계관리 모델링에 공헌하며, 강변여과수 취수량, 수질, 자연적인 함양량이 계절적으로 어떻게 영향을 받는지를 이해하는데 도움을 줄 것이다.
