일방향응고 니켈기 초내열합금 GTD111에서 천이 액상확산 접합용 삽입금속의 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of Insert Metals for the Transient Liquid Phase Bonding in the Directional Solidified Ni Base Super Alloy GTD 111)

  • On the Transient Liquid Phase Bonding (TLPB) phenomenon with the MBF-50 insert metal at narrow gap (under 100), it takes long time for the bonding and the homogenizing. Typically, isothermal solidification is controlled by the diffusion of depressed element of B and Si. However, the amount of B and Si in the MBF-50 filler metal is large. This is reason of the long bonding time. Also, the MBF-50 filler metal did not contained Al and Ti which are ${\gamma}^{\prime}$ phases former. This is reason of the long homogenizing time. From the bonding phenomenon with the MBF-50 insert metal, we search main factors on the bonding mechanism and select several insert-metals for using the wide-gap TLPB. New insert-metals contained Al and Ti which are ${\gamma}^{\prime}$ phases former and decrease the B then the MBF-50. When the new insert-metal was used on the TLPB, the bonding time was decreased about 1/10 times and homogenizing heat treatment was no needed. In spite of the without homogenizing, the volume fraction of ${\gamma}^{\prime}$ phases in the boned interlayer was equal to homogenizing heat treated specimen which was TLPB with the MBF-50. Finally, the new insert metal named WG1 for the wide-gap TLPB is more efficient then the MBF-50 filler metal without decreasing the bonding characteristic.

폴리엔의 HOMO-LUMO Gap, THG, DC-EFISHG, IDRI, OKE들에 대한 이론적 연구 (Theoretical Study of the HOMO-LUMO Gap, THG, DC-EFISHG, IDRI, and OKE in Polyenes)

  • 폴리엔의 HOMO-LUMO gap, 정적 및 동적인 3차 편극율을 시간의존 Hartree Fock 반경험적 PM3, AM1, MODO, MINDO/3 방법을 이용하여 구하였다. $C_2H_4$로부터 $C_{32}H_{34}$까지 모든 계산이 수행되었다. HOMO-LUMO gap은 MINDO/3>MNDO>PM3>AM1 순서로 증가하였으며, THG, DC-EFIDHG, IDRI, OKE효과는 AM1>MNDO>PM3 순서로 증가하였다. 다양한 3차 효과는 THG>DC-EFISHG>IDRI>OKE순서로 증가함을 보여주고 있다.

Effects of Gap Resistance and Failure Location on prompt Fission Gas Release from a Cladding Breach

  • A prompt fission gas release model incorporating the resistance to gas flow in the gap was developed and the effects of gap resistance and failure location on prompt fission gas release from the cladding breach were assessed. The process of prompt fission gas release from the plenum and gap into the coolant was modeled in accordance with three major phenomena: (1) transient gas flow in the gap, (2) the growth of the fission gas bubble while it is still attached to the breach, and (3) the detachment of the fission gas bubble from the breach and mixing with the coolant. The cumulative mass release fraction by the present model was calculated for the case of Young-Gwang 3 & 4 nuclear fuel rod as a typical example. The results showed that the release behavior of prompt fission gas with time was different from the frictionless model which has frequently been used in a simplified approach, and that the location of cladding failure was another key factor for the prompt fission gas release process due to the resistance in the gap.

  • Buckling Restrained Braces (BRB) have been widely used in the construction industry as they utilize the most desirable properties of both constituent materials, i.e., steel and concrete. They present excellent structural qualities such as high load bearing capacity, ductility, energy-absorption capability and good structural fire behaviour. The effects of size and type of filler material in the existed gap at the steel core-concrete interface as well as the element's cross sectional shape, on BRB's fire resistance capacity was investigated in this paper. A nonlinear sequentially-coupled thermal-stress three-dimensional model was presented and validated by experimental results. Variation of the samples was described by three groups containing, the steel cores with the same cross section areas and equal yield strength but different materials (metal and concrete) and sizes for the gap. Responses in terms of temperature distribution, critical temperature, heating elapsed time and contraction level of BRB element were examined. The study showed that the superior fire performance of BRB was obtained by altering the filler material in the gap from metal to concrete as well as by increasing the size of the gap. Also, cylindrical BRB performed better under fire conditions compared to the rectangular cross section.

  • A lot of researches on a linear induction motor(LIM) have been advanced to realize a traction system with high efficiency and performance for railway transit for a long time. However, most of them are limited in design of a LIM part such as Primary and Secondary. At a LIM which is traveling, the change of an air-gap(It occurs by a construction tolerance of a secondary reaction plate) becomes the cause which decreases a smoother ride and the efficiency of railway transit system. Therefore, uniform air-gap operation of LIM is important issue to improve the system efficiency. However, the researches which control the air-gap length of the LIM with technical and high-cost problem have been not advanced a lot. Therefore, in this research, it is introduced an air-gap control system for performance test machine of a scale-downed LIM which is able to control the air-gap length of the LIM and monitor a variety of performance changes of the propulsion system, and conducted a research on feasibility of the system based on characteristic analysis.

타 간극 캐비테이션과 저감장치에 관한 2 차원 모형 실험 (Two-dimensional Model Tests for Rudder Gap Cavitation and Suppression Devices)

  • The increasing size and speed of cargo ships result in high speed flow in propeller slipstream, and thereby cavitation is frequently observed on and around a rudder system. Rudder gap cavitation is the most difficult one to control and suppress among various types of the cavitation on a rudder system. In the present study, experiments of the incipient cavitation and pressure measurement were carried out for typical cargo ship rudder sections with and without the suppression devices, which were suggested by the authors. Fundamental understanding of the rudder gap cavitation inception was obtained along with its relevance to the surface pressure distribution. It is confirmed that the gap flow blocking devices effectively suppress the rudder gap cavitation and, at the same time, augment lift.

복부 둔상으로 인한 소장 천공의 임상 양상에 대한 고찰 (Clinical Characteristics of Small Bowel Perforation due to Blunt Abdominal Trauma)

  • Purpose: Blunt small bowel injury (SBI) is frequently combined other organ injury. So, clinical outcome and characteristics of SBI are influenced by other combined injuries. Thus, we analyzed isolated SBI patients and studied clinical outcome and characteristics. Methods: Between 2005 and 2010, 36 consecutive patients undergoing laparotomy due to isolated SBI were identified in a retrospectively collected. Database. Clinical outcome and characteristics were analyzed. Results: Laparotomy was performed in 36 patients. Primary repair was performed 17 patients. Segmental resection of small bowel was performed 19 patients. Median time gap from trauma to operation was 9 hours. In 24 hours from trauma, operation was performed 31 patients. Post operative death was 5 patients. Mean hospital stay was 18 days and median hospital stay was 12 days. There were significant differences between operation type and minor complication and hospital stay. And there were significant differences between time gap in 24 hours and minor complication. But, there were no significant between time gap and mortality. Conclusion: Although this study had many limitations, some valuable information was produced. When operation above 24 hours was delayed in SBI, minor complications were significantly increased. Segmental resection of small bowel in SBI were significantly increased minor complications and hospital stay. So, preventive measures for surgical site infection was important to reduce wound complication and hospital stay. Further continuous study and multi-center study were should be performed to improve clinical outcome in SBI.

침-평판 전극 구조에서 기중 부분방전의 Wavelet 해석 (Wavelet Analysis of Partial Discharges in Needle-Plane Air Gap)

  • Partial discharges(PD) in air insulated electric power systems cause power loss, produce interfering electromagnetic radiation, and can indicate incipient failure. An understanding of PD in air gap is clearly important. The Wavelet transformation is an extended method of fourier transformation. The fourier method is a powerful tool for signal analysis, but it can't include informations for time. However tile wavelet transformation analysis can include on the informations of time and frequency at the same time. In this paper we apply the wavelet transformation to the PD signals in needle-plane air gap for tile purpose of analysis of developing aspects of PD. We can analyze the developing aspects of PD, namely, PD current, repetition rates, width of pulse distribution region, pulseless region and frequencies distribution of PD pulses.

네트워크 침입 탐지 시스템에서의 시차 문제 해결 방안 (A Solution for Timing Gap Problems on Network Intrusion Detection Systems)

  • 본 논문에서는 네트워크 침입 탐지 시스템의 취약점 중 하나인 패킷 검출 시간 차이에 기인한 공격의 발생 가능성을 줄일 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다. 이런 종류의 공격 가능성을 줄이기 위하여 네트워크 기반 침입 탐지 시스템과 목적지 시스템간에 왕복 지연을 측정한 후 지연을 고려하여 패킷의 목적지 시스템 도착 예정 시간을 추정하는 방법을 제시하였다. 제시된 방법의 성능을 측정하기 위해 LAN상에서 소켓 프로그래밍을 이용하여 성능을 평가하였으며, 성능 평가 결과 시스템과 네트워크에 부담이 되지 않을 정도의 오버헤더만 있으면 패킷 검출 시차를 상당 부분 줄일 수 있음을 보여 준다. 특히, 가장 최근에 계산한 지연을 이용하는 최근 추정 방법이 가장 좋은 성능을 가짐을 알 수 있다.

Retardation Free In-plane Switching Liquid Crystal Display with High Speed and Wide-view Angle

  • In this paper, we propose an in-plane switching (IPS) mode for liquid crystal displays (LCDs) that, in principle, is free of retardation of the LC cell. Basically, the optical configuration of the LC cell consists of an A-plate and an LC layer for switching between the dark and bright states. We could achieve a fast response time compared with the conventional in-plane LC cell because the free retardation condition of the proposed LC cell enables us to reduce the cell gap even by quarter-wave retardation without any change of the optimized LC material in the transmissive mode. Experiments for verification of the proposed in-plane switching LC cells have shown a significant reduction of the rising time and falling time simultaneously due to the small cell gap. Furthermore, we also proposed an optical configuration for wide viewing property of the retardation free IPS LCD by applying the optical films. We proved the wide-view property of the retardation free IPS LCD by comparing its optical luminance with the calculated optical property of the conventional IPS LCD.
