차세대 고속철도기술개발사업 추진방향 (A progressive course of the Next Generation High-Speed Rail Development Project)

  • Since 1996, the G7 R&D and High-Speed Rail development project have been accomplished and it will be completed in 2007. During that time, we have achieved the origin design technique based on technique development experience. However, in order to magnify and to promote the growth of the origin design technique for railway industry to be a growth motive industry in future from intensive speed elevation and new technique competition of advanced nations, we need to prepare the next generation high-speed rail technique and to sustain expansion of the technique with getting hold of new technique tendency of the world. Therefore, this paper make research into necessity of the next generation high-speed rail development project, making an analysis of foreign countries cases and forward plan.

진화 프로그래밍의 전원개발계획에의 적용 연구 (Application to Generation Expansion Planning of Evolutionary Programming)

  • This paper proposes an efficient evolutionary programming algorithm for solving a generation expansion planning(GEP) problem known as a highly-nonlinear dynamic problem. Evolutionary programming(EP) is an optimization algorithm based on the simulated evolution (mutation, competition and selection). In this paper, new algorithm is presented to enhance the efficiency of the EP algorithm for solving the GEP problem. By a domain mapping procedure, yearly cumulative capacity vectors are transformed into one dummy vector, whose change can yield a kind of trend in the cost value. To validate the proposed approach, this algorithm is tested on two cases of expansion planning problems. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can provide successful results within a resonable computational time compared with conventional EP and dynamic programming.

  • Recently, there are two big paradigm shifts in the global electric power industry. First, the maintenance practice is gradually moved from time-based activities to reliability-centered activities. On the other hand, asset management is emerging as a new framework to maximize the efficiency of investments. The two paradigms are mutually exclusive in natural. Thus the power utilities usually chose the investment alternative on the basis of reliability in the past. But today's changed business environment - competition -requires the power utilities to compromise the trade-off of reliability effects and economics of investments. This paper shows what and how to interpret the reliability effects of distribution system investments into financial indicators beneficial for power utilities's managers to make decision on the perspective of corporate value.

Collision-free local planner for unknown subterranean navigation

  • When operating in confined spaces or near obstacles, collision-free path planning is an essential requirement for autonomous exploration in unknown environments. This study presents an autonomous exploration technique using a carefully designed collision-free local planner. Using LiDAR range measurements, a local end-point selection method is designed, and the path is generated from the current position to the selected end-point. The generated path showed the consistent collision-free path in real-time by adopting the Euclidean signed distance field-based grid-search method. The results consistently demonstrated the safety and reliability of the proposed path-planning method. Real-world experiments are conducted in three different mines, demonstrating successful autonomous exploration flights in environment with various structural conditions. The results showed the high capability of the proposed flight autonomy framework for lightweight aerial robot systems. In addition, our drone performed an autonomous mission in the tunnel circuit competition (Phase 1) of the DARPA Subterranean Challenge.

클라우드 기업의 성과측정모형 개발 (Development of Performance Measurement Model for Cloud Companies)

  • Since the recent Corona 19, the importance of cloud computing is increasing, and at the same time, competition among clouds is intensifying. Cloud companies are competing for survival by promoting various management innovation methods for continuous growth and development amid a rapidly changing business environment. They are also increasingly interested in performance management in their operations and growth. In this paper, we propose Cloud BSC, an IT BSC-based performance measurement model for cloud enterprise performance management. The validity of the proposed model is verified through statistical analysis and causal analysis. Eventually, the proposed model is expected to be utilized as a management evaluation tool that can provide useful performance analysis information to cloud companies.

Assessing the Impact of Network Effects on Brand Choice in the Growth Market: A Multi-Brand Diffusion Model

  • This study investigates network effects to measure how strongly the early adopters affect the brand choice of the potential consumer. By using the Gumbel-Hougaard (GH) copula, this study checks the magnitude of network effects varied from country to country. To consider consumer heterogeneity and network effects in the growth market, this study proposes the multi-brand Gamma/Shifted-Gompertz (m-G/SG) model based on the GH copula. Out of eighteen Western European cellular phone market data and South Korea smartphone data sets, the m-G/SG model provides an improvement in the estimation accuracy over the Libai, Muller, and Peres model. The results show that network effects enhance (i) the polarization of brand choice probabilities as time elapses; (ii) the dominance of the more preferred and the earlier entered brand; and (iii) the deceleration of category-level diffusion. Potential followers can analyze their relationship with earlier entrants through the m-G/SG model and also establish an optimal market entry strategy.

자율주행자동차 사고시 형사책임에 따른 '자율주행자동차의 운행과 책임에 관한 법률안' 시도 (New attempt on the Autonomous Vehicles Act based on criminal responsibility)

  • 자율주행자동차의 상용화를 둘러싸고 각국은 이제 기술적 경쟁은 물론 입법 경쟁에도 뛰어 들었다. 그런데 이처럼 자국의 자율주행차 산업의 기술적 우위를 확보하려는 법적 제도화의 와중에 독일의 자율 및 커넥티드주행에 관한 윤리위원회는 최근 20여개의 지침을 제시하였다. 이 지침은 복잡한 윤리적인 딜레마와 법적 책임의 분배, 자율주행기술에 대한 지침의 투명성 요구 등 반드시 해결하고 넘어가야 할 과제들을 언급하고 있어, 향후 자율주행자동차 관련 입법의 이정표 역할을 할 것으로 판단된다. 이에 필자는 형사책임을 기초로 독일 윤리위원회의 지침에서 제시된주요내용을 포섭하는 새로운 법률안을 성안해 보았다. 그리고 그 구조는크게 총칙, 자율주행자동차의 종류와 안전기준에 관한 장, 등록 및 점검, 정비, 검사 등에 관한 장, 운행 면허에 관한 장, 제조사와 운전자의 의무에 관한 장, 보험과 사고시 책임에 관한 장, 도로와 시설, 교통체계에 관한 장, 보칙, 벌칙에 관한 장 등으로 구분할 수 있다. 우리나라에서 자율주행자동차의 상용화는 먼 미래의 일로, 자율주행자동차에 대비할 법제의 마련도 요원한 것처럼 치부할 수 있지만, 우리의 현실을 보면 오히려 선도적 입법이 필요할 수도 있다. 이에 본 논문은 자율주행자동차 사고시 확정될 형사책임을 기본으로 필요한 사항들을 규율하는 개별 법률안을 마련하였다. 여기서 자율주행자동차의 교통안전을 위해 명확한 법률의 해석과 적용이 이뤄질 수 있도록 자율주행자동차와 주행모드 등의 정의를 내렸으며, 자율주행자동차의 안전기준을 제시하였다. 아울러 운전자와 제조사의 의무를 규정하고 그에 따른 보험가입의무와손해배상 책임을 규정하였다. 나아가 이를 바탕으로 운전자와 제조사 등의 형사책임의 배분을 명시하고, 제조사에 대하여 매출액을 기준으로 한벌금형의 규정과 면책의 가능성을 검토하였다. 또한 동법의 실효성 확보와 규제의 사각지대를 막기 위해 해킹행위 등의 처벌을 위한 벌칙규정을 살펴보았다. 이러한 논의를 바탕으로 '자율주행차의 운행과 책임에 관한 법률안'을 제시하였는데, 이는 향후 자율주행자동차의 운행과 관련이 있는 여러 학문분야와 관련 산업계의 중론을 모으고 이를 바탕으로 새로운 논의가 진행될 수 있는 기초를 제공함에 목표를 두었다. 시기적으로 요원한 감이 있을 수도 있다. 그러나 건전한 자율주행자동차산업 생태계 구축을 위해서는 자율주행자동차의 주행을 규율할 법률안을 미리 예고하여 자동차산업계가 대비할 수 있는 시간이 필요하며, 국회에서의 입법 절차에 앞서자율주행자동차의 안전에 대한 사회적 공감대 형성을 위한 공론화 과정이 필요하기 때문이다.

이단 평행봉 YEGA 동작의 운동학적 분석 (Kinematical Analysis of the YEGA Motion on the Uneven Parallel Bars)

  • This study was intended to assist athletes in having a technical understanding of the Yega motion and provide basic material for improving their competitive ability by analyzing the kinematic variable of the Yega motion during the competition of the uneven parallel bar of female gymnastics. For this purpose, the game of female gymnastics participating in the uneven parallel bar game was personally videotaped using the DLT(direct linear transformation) method. An attempt was made to make a comparative analysis of the Yega motion by dividing the final first to third places into the upper group('A' group) and the sixth to eighth places into the lower group('B' group). Based on the results of actual analysis on the scenes of actual game, the following conclusion was concluded: 1. Athletes in the 'A' group showed the shorter required time on the flight phase(P3) than counterparts in the 'B' group. 2. Athletes in the 'A' group showed the little width in the horizontal displacement of the center of gravity than counterparts in the 'B' group. But athletes in the 'A' group exhibited the somewhat greater relative vertical height of the center of the body. 3. Athletes in the 'A' group showed the greater resultant velocity at the lowest point of the center of the body(E2) and at the point in time of release(E3) compared to counterparts in the 'B' group.

HiperLAN/2 시스템에서 가변적인 RCH 채널 할당방안 (Variable RCH Channel Assignment Scheme in HiperLAN/2 System)

  • HiperLAN/2(High performance radio Local Area Network)에서의 MAC(Media Access Control)프로토콜은 TDMA/TDD(Time Division Multiple Access/Time Division Duplex)기반으로 동작하며, 단말은 RCH(Random CHannel) 구간을 통해 채널 경쟁에서 성공함으로써 데이터 전송 기회를 획득한다. 그러므로 AP(Access Point)는 각 RCH에서 단말들의 채널요청메시지의 성공 및 충돌수에 따라, 다음 프레임에서 최적의 RCH 개수를 동적으로 할당할 수 있어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 HiperLAN/2에서의 성능향상을 위해 충돌과 성공을 고려하여 RCH(Random CHannel)수를 고정적인 값만큼 증감하는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 방법의 효율성을 입증하기 위해 시뮬레이션을 수행하였으며, 처리율과 접속지연 관점에서 분석하였다.

RTE 환경에서의 SOA 기반 협업적 분산 에이전트 개발 (Development of a SOA-based Distributed Collaborative Agent in RTE Environments)

  • The organizations in the competitive business environment are under pressure of handling internal management processes as well as external supply chain issues. In addition, the paradigm of supply chain management (SCM) has been shifted from static to dynamic problems. For the efficient SCM, organizations should be a RTE (Real Time Enterprises) that views entire supply chains as a single entity. In this paper, the agent system that makes RTE and dynamic supply chains possible is developed. Then, the developed agent system is verified in the TAC SCM(Trading Agent Competition Supply Chain Management) experimental environment and a dashboard is also developed for monitoring management activities of supply chains. The contributions of this paper are as followings. First, unlike the previous agent systems, the suggested agent system in this paper provides autonomy and scalability using SOA. Second, this suggested model for dynamic environment can be applied for the development of software supporting a SCM.
