The power line channel has time-variant characteristics caused by various kind of electrical devices. This characteristics are synchronized with the main voltage by their own characteristics. The main factors of disturbance are the variation of the channel impedance and noises. In other papers, the synchronous noise modeling has been achieved. But the modeling is not satisfied simultaneously with the time domain and the frequency domain and there are not any discussion about short-term variations of the channel impedance which cause to the signal fading. Therefore, this paper researched to solve problems about the signal fading by analyzing the short-term variation of the channel impedance, and proposed the synchronous noise modeling which is satisfied simultaneously in the time domain and the frequency domain.
Non-stationary random vibration of linear structures with uncertain parameters is investigated in this paper. A time-domain explicit formulation method is first presented for dynamic response analysis of deterministic structures subjected to non-stationary random excitations. The method is then employed to predict the random responses of a structure with given values of structural parameters, which are used to fit the conditional expectations of responses with relation to the structural random parameters by the response surface technique. Based on the total expectation theorem, the known conditional expectations are averaged to yield the random responses of stochastic structures as the total expectations. A numerical example involving a frame structure is investigated to illustrate the effectiveness of the present approach by comparison with the power spectrum method and the Monte Carlo simulation method. The proposed method is also applied to non-stationary random seismic analysis of a practical arch bridge with structural uncertainties, indicating the feasibility of the present approach for analysis of complex structures.
Multi-scale representations are effective in characterising the time-frequency characteristics of financial return series. They have the capability to reveal the properties not evident with typical time domain analysis. Given the aforesaid, this study derives crucial insights from multi scale analysis to investigate the co-movements between Indian and emerging Asian equity markets using wavelet correlation and wavelet coherence measures. It is reported that the Indian equity market is strongly integrated with Asian equity markets at lower frequency scales and relatively less blended at higher frequencies. On the other hand the results from cross correlations suggest that the lead-lag relationship becomes substantial as we turn to lower frequency scales and finally, wavelet coherence demonstrates that this correlation eventually grows strong in the interim of the crises period at lower frequency scales. Overall the findings are relevant and have strong policy and practical implications.
This research paper proposes a novel methodology for predicting the optimal location of friction supports to effectively mitigate vibrational energy in piping systems. The incorporation of friction forces in the dynamic characteristics of the system introduces inherent nonlinearity, making its analysis challenging. Typically, numerical solutions in the time domain are employed to circumvent the complexities associated with finding analytic solutions for nonlinear systems. However, time domain analysis (TDA) can be computationally intensive and demand significant computational resources due to the intricate calculations stemming from nonlinearity. To address this computational burden, this study presents an efficient approach based on linear analysis to predict the ideal position for installing friction supports as a replacement for fixed supports. Furthermore, we investigate the relationship between the installation positions of friction supports and their effectiveness in absorbing vibrations using the harmonic balanced method (HBM). Both methodologies are validated by comparing the obtained results with those obtained through time domain analysis (TDA) using the finite element method (FEM).
Accurate actuator tracking is critical to achieve reliable real-time hybrid simulation results for earthquake engineering research. The frequency-domain evaluation approach provides an innovative way for more quantitative post-simulation evaluation of actuator tracking errors compared with existing time domain based techniques. Utilizing the Fast Fourier Transform the approach analyzes the actuator error in terms of amplitude and phrase errors. Existing application of the approach requires using the complete length of the experimental data. To improve the computational efficiency, two techniques including data decimation and frequency decimation are analyzed to reduce the amount of data involved in the frequency-domain evaluation. The presented study aims to enhance the computational efficiency of the approach in order to utilize it for future on-line actuator tracking evaluation. Both computational simulation and laboratory experimental results are analyzed and recommendations on the two decimation factors are provided based on the findings from this study.
The paper deals with an approach to time domain simulation for closed end at the downstream of pipe, hydraulic lines terminating into a tank and series lines with change of cross sectional area. Time domain simulation of a fluid power systems containing hydraulic lines is very complex and difficult if the transfer functions consist of hyperbolic Bessel functions which is the case for the distributed parameter dissipative model. In this paper, the magnitudes and phases of the complex transfer functions of hydraulic lines are calculated, and the MATLAB Toolbox is used to formulate a rational polynomial approximation for these transfer functions in the frequency domain. The approximated transfer functions are accurate over a designated frequency range, and used to analyze the time domain response. This approach is usefully to simulate fluid power systems with hydraulic lines without to approximate the frequency dependent viscous friction.
This paper deals with the basic concepts of sensitivity analysis in a time domain for the transient response of a lumped mass system. Sensitivity analysis methods in thme domain for determining the effects of parameter changes on the response of a dynamic system by external excitation are presented. The parametric sensitivity of a lumped mass system in time domain can be investigated using different types of sensitivity functions, including first order standard and percentage sensitivity functions. These sensitivity functions are determined as a function of partial derivatives of system variables taken with respect to system parameters. In addition, we compared the results of the analytical method by direct method and those of numerical methods.

A study for the material and geometric nonlinear analysis of segmentally erected cable-supported prestressed concrete plane frames including the time-dependent effects due to load history, creep, shrinkage, aging of concrete, and relaxation of prestressing steel and cable is presented. Updated Lagrangian formulation is used to account for the nonlinear behavior of the structure. For the time-dependent analysis. the time domain is divided into a discrete number of intervals, and a step-forward integration is performed as the solution progresses in the time domain. At each time step. a nonlinear finite element analysis is performed in the space domain. Segmental erection methods are implemented by providing the capability to change the configuration of the structure at any time step of the solution. The computer program CFRAME is developed and a series of numerical examples are presented to study the validity of the program.

The numerical dispersive characteristics and the numerical stability confition of the Multi-Resolution Time-Domain(MRTD) method are calculated. A dispersion analysis of the MRTD schemes including a comparison to Yee's Finite-Difference Time-Domain(FDTD) method is given. The superiority of the MRTD method to the spatial discretization is shown. The required computational memory can be reduced by using the MRTD method. We expect that the MRTD method will be very useful method for numerical modelling of electromagnetics.

In this paper, we analyze the radio propagation path loss characteristics for the vertical electric dipole radiation over the perfect electric conductor(PEC) ground plane. Most research have been performed about the electromagnetic analysis of vertical electric dipole in free space for time domain or frequency domain. But this paper present the radio propagation path loss over PEC ground plane in time domain under the assumption of the vertical electric dipole as a base station. From the simulated results, the ground plane effect can change the location of near field from transmitting antenna and the transient responses at mobile are calculated. The results of this paper can be applied to surface radar or signal processing applications.
