LAN 기반 디지털 변전소 보호를 위한 동기 샘플링 구조적용 HW/SW 플랫폼 기술 (Synchronized Sampling Structure applied HW/SW platform for LAN-based Digital Substation Protection)

  • 본 논문에서는 미래 LAN 기반 디지털 변전소 보호를 위하여 정밀 시각동기 기반 동기 샘플링 구조를 적용한 계통 구성 IED(Intelligent Electronic Device)의 HW/SW 플랫폼을 제안하였다. 제안한 플랫폼은 전력계통 자동화를 위한 표준인 IEC 61850 프로토콜 및 IED 간 정밀 시각동기를 위한 IEEE 1588 Precision time protocol 통합 소프트웨어가 적용되었으며, Synchronized reference signal을 이용한 IED 간 동기 샘플링 구조를 적용하였다. 이는 미래 IEC 61850 기반 디지털 변전소에 적용될 네트워크 기반 데이터 송수신 환경에서 IED 간 동기 측정된 계전 데이터를 제공하게 함으로써, 네트워크 기반 분산 측정 데이터를 이용한 새로운 보호 및 제어방식을 적용할 수 있는 토대를 제공할 것으로 기대된다. 제시한 플랫폼 기술의 타당성 및 성능을 측정하기 위하여 TMDXIDK572 멀티코어/멀티프로세서 EVM(Evaluation Module)을 기반으로 구현하였으며, 성능 시험 환경을 구성하여 제시한 플랫폼의 시각동기 성능 및 동기 샘플링 기능의 동작을 확인하였다.

역샘플링법을 이용한 포와슨과정의 비교 (Comparison of Two-time Homogeneous Poisson Processes Using Inverse Type Sapling Plans)

  • This study is concerned with the comparison of two time homogeneous Poisson processes. Traditionally, the methods of testing equality of Poisson processes were based on the binomial distribution or its normal approximations. The sampling plans used in these methods are to observe the processes concurrently over a predetermined time interval, possibly different for each process. However, when the values of the intensities of the processes are small, inverse type sampling plans are more appropriate since there may be cases where only a few or even no events are observed in the predetermined time interval. This study considers 9 inverse type sampling plans for the comparison of two Poisson processes. For each sampling plans considered, critical regions and the design parameters of the sampling plan are determined to guarantee the significance level and the power at some values of the alternative hypothesis. The Problem of comparing of two Weibull processes are also considered.

  • First, we propose a transparent and efficient design of discrete-time integral controllers accounting sampling skew. Based on the proposed controller, we derive a state-space representation of doubly coprime factorization including integral action. The representation is then used to obtain a convenient state-space parametrization of discrete-time two-degree-of-freedom integral controllers acconting sampling skew.

  • Foreground/background segmentation in video sequences is often one of the first tasks in machine vision applications, making it a critical part of the system. In this paper, we present an improved sample-based technique that provides robust background image as well as segmentation mask. The conventional multiple interval sampling (MIS) algorithm have suffer from the unbalance of computation time per frame and the rapid change of confidence factor of background pixel. To balance the computation amount, a random-based pixel update scheme is proposed and a spatial and temporal smoothing technique is adopted to increase reliability of the confidence factor. The proposed method allows the sampling queue to have more dispersed data in time and space, and provides more continuous and reliable confidence factor. Experimental results revealed that our method works well to estimate stable background image and the foreground mask.

2008 서울서베이 표본추출틀 구축 및 표본추출 사례 연구 (A Case Study on the Construction of the Sampling Frame and Sampling Design for 2008 Seoul Survey)

  • 추출된 표본을 바탕으로 관심 모집단의 특성을 파악하는 조사연구에 있어서는 실제로 표본이 추출되는 표본추출틀의 모집단 대표성이 매우 중요하다. 표본추출틀이 관심 모집단을 적절한 수준으로 포함하지 못하는 경우 심각한 표본추출틀 편향이 발생하게 되고 이로 인하여 효율적인 추출법에 의하여 추출된 표본의 통계적 신뢰도 역시 손상된다. 그러나 대규모 조사를 위한 표본추출틀의 구축은 시간과 비용의 측면에서 비효율적이고 따라서 국가에서 제공하는 전수 조사 기반의 표본추출틀이 흔히 사용된다. 대표적으로 국내의 가구조사를 위한 표본추출틀로는 매 5년마다 시행되는 인구주택총조사 기반의 자료가 사용된다. 그러나 인구주택총조사 기반 표본추출틀의 경우 인구주택총조사 시점과 실제 조사 시점과의 시간적 차이로 인한 표본추출틀의 모집단 대표성에 문제가 발생하게 된다. 특별히 인구 유동성이 심한 서울과 같은 대도시의 경우 시간의 경과에 따른 모집단 분포의 변화가 심하게 나타나리라 예측할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 2008 서울서베이 가구 조사를 위해 새롭게 표본추출틀을 구축한 것과 새 표본추출틀을 기초로 하여 표본을 추출한 사례를 다룬다. 기존 인구주택총조사 기반 표본추출틀이 시간이 지남에 따라 대표성을 상실하는 문제점을 지적하고 주민등록 DB와 과세대장 DB를 기반으로 한 새로운 표본추출틀을 2008년 서울서베이 가구조사를 위한 표본추출틀로 제시하였다. 새롭게 작성된 표본추출틀로부터의 가구표본추출과정과 가중치 및 모평균 추정량 또한 제시되었다.

  • We proposed a new variable sampling rate model which expresses the phenomena with both rapid and slow components. A method for determining the variable sampling rate and the older of the time series model was explained. The proposed variable sampling rate model was evaluated based oil an information criterion(AIC). Tile variable sampling rate model brought smaller an information criterion than one of a constant sampling rate model of conventional type, and was proved to be effective as a prediction model of the system with both rapid and slow components.

  • This paper presents a novel random sampling method for generation adequacy assessment including wind-power. Although a time sequential sampling has advantages than a random sampling in its assessment results, it takes long assessment time. Therefore, an effective random sampling method for generation adequacy assessment is highly recommended to get specific reliability indices quickly. The proposed method is based on the Monte-Carlo simulation with state sampling and it can be applied to generation adequacy assessment with other intermittent power sources.

  • Purpose: This article develops an optimal reliability acceptance sampling plan for the case where the degradation quantity of the performance characteristic follows Weibull distribution. Method: For developing reliability acceptance sampling plans, the sample size and the acceptance constant are determined based on the accelerated characteristic of the test condition and the product. Results: The sample size and the acceptance constant are provided such that the constraints of the producer and the consumer risks are satisfied. Conclusion: Reliability acceptance sampling plans based on the accelerated degradation test method can be used for the quality control within a resonable amount of cost and time. In this article. an optimal reliability sampling plans are newly developed for this purpose.

  • This paper presents the speed control of dc motor based on deadbeat response. The deadbeat response is that the output reaches the final value in the minimum possible settling time and stays there. This results demonstrate that the output reaches final value in one sampling time for the unsaturated region, and in one sampling time after getting free from the saturation state for the saturated region.

Adaptive MCMC-Based Particle Filter for Real-Time Multi-Face Tracking on Mobile Platforms

  • In this paper, we describe an adaptive Markov chain Monte Carlo-based particle filter that effectively addresses real-time multi-face tracking on mobile platforms. Because traditional approaches based on a particle filter require an enormous number of particles, the processing time is high. This is a serious issue, especially on low performance devices such as mobile phones. To resolve this problem, we developed a tracker that includes a more sophisticated likelihood model to reduce the number of particles and maintain the identity of the tracked faces. In our proposed tracker, the number of particles is adjusted during the sampling process using an adaptive sampling scheme. The adaptive sampling scheme is designed based on the average acceptance ratio of sampled particles of each face. Moreover, a likelihood model based on color information is combined with corner features to improve the accuracy of the sample measurement. The proposed tracker applied on various videos confirmed a significant decrease in processing time compared to traditional approaches.
