가로림만 조력발전소 가동에 따른 조석체계 변화 예측 (Prediction of Tidal Regime According To Garolim Tidal Power Plant operation)

  • Tidal regime change with general hydrolic condition change is examined, according to Garolim Tidal Power Plant (TPP) operation. Numerical model has been developed for the Yellow and East China Seas region, in order to consider the tidal regime change by the TPP operation. The changes of tidal elevation and tidal current inside the Garolim bay are also investigated in details, along with examining the change of the tidal flat area with operation. The field measurement for the tide and current have been carried out for the validation of the numerical model and for understanding the state of current system in the present state.

  • The feasibility study for tidal power plant (TPP) has been carried out for the Siwha area inside the Kyunggi bay of the Kyunggi Bay of the Yellow and East china Seas, by KORDI (Korea Ocean Research and Development Institute) and continuing research works for tidal energy development are under progress in the several sites inside the Kyunggi Bay. In this paper we describes some results of the modeling efforts in relation the tidal regime change by Siwha TPP operation, as well as other coastal oceanographic research works involved in TPP development in the coastal region.

  • The pilot tidal current power plant is to be constructed at the Uldolmok between Chindo and Haenam, during next year. and extensive coastal engineering research works have been carried out. In this paper we describes some observation results of the tide and tidal current. as well as modeling work in order to investigate the tide and tidal current regime change in relation to the tidal current power plant (TCPP) construction. The special modeling skill in order to consider the turbine operation in the TCPP is developed and applied to the estimation for the flow regime change by the simple layout of the tidal current power plant.

  • 우리나라 서해안 새만금해역의 조석을 수량적분한 수치모형에 의해 조사하였다. 첫 단계로서 4개 주요분석(M$_2$, S$_2$, $K_1$, $O_1$)의 외해경계외력을 부여함으로써 독립적인 조석체계를 산정하였다. 수립된 모형은 이 해역에 방조제가 건설될 시 주요분조의 변화양상을 1차적으로 평가하는데 적용된 바 반일구조의 진폭은 방조제 전면에서 2-7cm확폭되나 일주조는 큰 변화가 없었다. 반면에 방조제에 의한 주류체계는 큰 변화를 제시하는데 방조제 전면부의 유속감소와 최대해저마찰응력의 변화를 볼 때 전면부의 토사이몰 가능성이 높은 것으로 추정된다.

  • 금강하구둑의 건설에 따른 조석체계의 변화에 대한 추정을 1차원 수치모델을 이용하여 수행하였다. 결과로서 금강하구 망월리 방조제는 주태음반일주조의 진폭을 증가시킬것으로 추정되었다. 이 초기추정의 유효성은 교류회로이론의 동수력학적인 유추법을 이용하여 검토되었다. 초기결과가 제시되었으며 토의되었다.

Applications of the Sediment-Transport Path Model to the Tidal Flats of Garolim Bay, West Coast of Korea

  • Bidirectional transport trend using the sediment-transport path model was identified in the two areas, sand ridge area and tidal mudflat in Garolim Bay, which is located in the mid-western coast of Korean Peninsular. This model exhibits the two-dimensional view of clear sediment transport trend based on data of changes in sediment statistics such as mean, sorting, and skewness, Garolim Bay was selected to test for the sediment-transport path model developed by McLaren and Bowles [1985]. Line-S, a typical tidal mudflat and representative of the Garolim Bay tidal flats, is well tested by this model, showing a clear seasonal change and coarsening-trend seaward (case C). This indicates that strong ebb currents carried relatively coarser sediments seaward with respect to high energy regime. Seasonally, this energy regime slowly decreases toward the summer in contrast with an increase of energy regime of flood tides, carrying coarser sediments landward (case C) in the summer. However, the Line-D area does not show consistent transport trend with respect to time-series. Separated and scattered events show fining trend landward (case B) in the sand ridge itself. The finining-trend (case B) either seaward and landward is not chiefly important in both the entire Line-D area and sand ridge itself. Also, the coarsening-Trend (case C) landward is not significant in the sand ridge itself. Consequently, in reality, the selection of suitable and representative locations are very important to fit with this model.

천문조, 배조 및 복합조 특성을 이용한 경기만 한강하구 구역별 조석체계 분류 (The Regional Classification of Tidal Regime using Characteristics of Astronomical Tides, Overtides and Compound Tides in the Han River Estuary, Gyeonggi Bay)

  • 경기만 한강하구에서 주요 수로의 조석 전파 특성을 이용하여, 천문조, 배조 및 복합조의 분포를 파악하고, 조석 형태수의 특징에 따라 구역별 조석체계 (tidal regime)를 분류하였다. 주요 수로에서 보이는 조석 전파 특성은 외해는 천문조로 대표되는 5대분조 (e.g., $M_2$, $S_2$, $N_2$, $K_1$$O_1$)가 지배적이지만, 상류로 진입할수록 천해 분조 (e.g., $M_4$)와 장주기 분조 (e.g., $MS_f$)의 뚜렷한 증가가 보인다. 반일주조 성분이 우세한 경기만 및 한강하구에서 천문조, 배조 및 복합조를 이용하여 제시된 조석 형태수 (tidal form number)의 특성에 따라 크게 3구역으로 분류하였다. 1구역은 천문조가 우세한 지역으로 외해에서 인천항 전면까지 (염하수로), 외해에서 석모수로의 북쪽 입구로 제시된다. 2구역은 염하수로 남쪽 입구에서 북쪽 입구까지와 강화 북수로 지역으로 단주기 천해 분조 (e.g., $M_4$$MS_4$)가 강하게 나타나는 지역이다. 마지막으로 3구역은 신곡 수중보 이후부터 한강 상류지역으로 장주기 복합조 (e.g., $MS_f$)가 제일 우세한 지역이다. 일반적인 하구와 마찬가지로 한강하구의 조석 비선형성은 지형적 특성에 기인한 천해 분조가 증가를 하며, 1/4일주기 (fourth-diurnal) 및 장주기 (long-term period) 분조의 확연한 분포 차이를 보인다. 특히, 수중보의 영향은 구조물의 상류와 하류지점의 조석체계에 지대한 변화를 일으킨다.
