  • This paper focuses on the relationship between innovation and export performance of technology-based firms in Korea. This study analyses the relationship between innovative activity and firm's performances using a sample of 760 technology-based firms in Korea. As for the firm's performance indicators, export is employed. The empirical results support that innovation has a positive effect on firm's export performance. However, for small and medium firms, the relationship between innovative activity and export performance is an U-shape quadratic form, which shows that small firms takes a minimum innovative expenditure in order to access the abroad market. Also, with product differentiation, innovative firms tends to devot more to domestic market than to abroad market. Therefore, it can be concluded that innovative activity builds market power and accelerates export performance. And product differentiation through advertising expenditure make innovative firms less exporting.

  • The purpose of this study is to validate the validity of the methodology for analyzing the space with complex characteristics and to evaluate the existing spatial structure analysis theory. Seven example models are designed and analyzed data of spatial syntax analysis and visibility graph analysis. And analyzed the agent-based model using two analytical methods: the adjacent space and the whole spatial connection. The results of this study are as follows. Based on the analysis of the agent - based model for perfectly freewalking, the validity of the method is verified in terms of predictive ability and effectiveness. Agent-based models can be simulated considering various variables, so realistic predictions will be possible and a new biography of complex systems can be met.

  • In this paper, it is presented a new scheme of adaptive-neuro control system to implement real-time control of robot manipulator. Unlike the well-established theory for the adaptive control of linear systems, there exists relatively little general theory for the adaptive control of nonlinear systems. Adaptive control technique is essential for providing a stable and robust performance for application of robot control. The proposed neuro control algorithm is one of learning a model based error back-propagation scheme using Lyapunov stability analysis method. Through simulation, the proposed adaptive-neuro control scheme is proved to be a efficient control technique for real-time control of robot system using DSPs.

  • Let A be a commutative ring and M an Artinian .A-module. Let $\sigma$ be a torsion radical functor and (T, F) it's corresponding partition of Spec(A) In [1] the concept of Cohen-Macauly modules was generalized . In this paper we shall define $\sigma$-co-Cohen-Macaulay (abbr. $\sigma$-co-CM). Indeed this is one of the aims of this paper, we obtain some satisfactory properties of such modules. An-other aim of this paper is to generalize the concept of cograde by using the left derived functor $U^{\alpha}$$_{I}$(-) of the $\alpha$-adic completion functor, where a is contained in Jacobson radical of A.A.

  • This review deals with computational treatments of subatomic levels of matter based on density functional theory (DFT), and tries to identify several current trends, which are largely consequences of the ever-increasing power of computers, which has substantially extended the performance of conventional DFT beyond its original scope. This review mainly focuses on the conceptual outline, rather than on lines of equations, highlighting several examples of calculations for each topic. It should be noted that these issues are hardly new to leading groups in the field, but certainly are for materials people in general. It should also be noted that the on-going efforts will continue and lead to a larger system size, a longer time scale, a higher accuracy, and a better efficiency of calculation for years to come.

  • Blog have become very popular with Internet users as one of the latest forms of online communication as well as knowledge sharing tools. However, blogs generate growing concerns regarding information privacy issues. This study, based on social exchange theory, presents results about bloggers' information sharing behavior. The 157 surveys are collected from a large university in the eastern U.S. The survey results indicate that trust which has four second order factors: economy based trust, trust in reciprocity, trust in other bloggers and trust in social interaction positively affects bloggers' information sharing behavior. However, online information privacy concerns have a negative impact on the relationship between trust and bloggers' information sharing behavior.

  • This research has been performed to reveal the hysteresis phenomena of the hunting motion in a railway passenger car having a bolster. Since linear analysis can not explain them, bifurcation analysis is used to predict its outbreak velocities in this paper. However bifurcation analysis is attended with huge computing time, thus this research proposes more effective numerical algorithm to reduce it than previous researches. Stability of periodic solution is obtained by adapting of Floquet theory while stability of equilibrium solutions is obtained by eigen-value analysis. As a result, linear and nonlinear critical speed are acquired. Full scale roller rig test is carried out for the validation of the numerical result. Finally, it is certified that there are many similarities between numerical and test results.

  • Given the diverse environmental contexts of universities worldwide there is a need for a theoretical orientation that addresses the entrepreneurial university in a range of settings. Applying the institutional perspective this research explores how universities are strongly influenced by, as well as active influencers in, their surrounding environment. To do this, we examine case narratives of two universities in each of the following countries: Norway, Sweden, Finland, the UK, and the U.S. Analysis focuses on five entrepreneurial dimensions as defined by Nelles and Vorley (2010a): Structures, Systems, Leadership, Strategies, and Culture while examining the impact of regional and national context at regulative, normative, and cognitive levels of analysis. We address two research questions: How do universities interact with their institutional context in developing entrepreneurially and what actors and forces are most important in motivating institutional change in developing a university's entrepreneurial architecture?

  • The purpose of this paper is twofold. The first is to establish a uniqueness theorem for entire function sharing two polynomials with its ${\kappa}$-th derivative, by using the theory of normal families. Meanwhile, the theorem generalizes some related results of Rubel and Yang and of Li and Yi. Several examples are provided to show the conditions are necessary. The second is to generalize the Br$\"{u}$-ck conjecture with the idea of sharing polynomial.

  • The theory of solubility proposed by Jhon and Kihara has been tested and applied to various systems. In the present paper, the systems are the solubilities of gases such as $Ar,\;H_2,\;N_2,\;O_2,\;CO_2,\;CH_4,\;and\;C_2H_6$ in liquid benzene and carbon disulfide, those of solids iodine and naphthalene in the nonaqueous solvents, and those of gases $H_2,\;N_2,\;O_2,\;Ar,\;CH_4,\;and\;C_2H_4$ in the electrolyte solutions. The theoretical values of solubilities are in good agreement with the experimental data in the literature.
