Steering Gaze of a Camera in an Active Vision System: Fusion Theme of Computer Vision and Control (능동적인 비전 시스템에서 카메라의 시선 조정: 컴퓨터 비전과 제어의 융합 테마)

  • A typical theme of active vision systems is gaze-fixing of a camera. Here gaze-fixing of a camera means by steering orientation of a camera so that a given point on the object is always at the center of the image. For this we need to combine a function to analyze image data and a function to control orientation of a camera. This paper presents an algorithm for gaze-fixing of a camera where image analysis and orientation control are designed in a frame. At this time, for avoiding difficulties in implementing and aiming for real-time applications we design the algorithm to be a simple closed-form without using my information related to calibration of the camera or structure estimation.

A Qualitative Case Study on the Success of Fashion Retail Start-up by Young Entrepreneurs (청년 창업가의 패션소매 창업 성공에 관한 질적 사례연구)

  • This study examines the experience structure and success theme in the business experience of successful young entrepreneurs in the fashion field. The study was conducted as a qualitative case study. The participants were three CEOs with more than 10 years fashion businesses experience with small and medium enterprises. Data were collected from July 2016 to June 2017 through in-depth interviews in Seoul and Gwangju as well as literature collected from other journals, newspaper articles, and books. Collected data were first summarized in 284 meaning units and then reduced to 53 common meanings through description, analysis, and interpretation processes that produced 16 sub-themes. Finally, six successful themes were extracted. The study results are as follows. First, the experience structure for successful entrepreneurs is formed by the qualitative difference of experience according to time order. Second, there are six successful themes found in the fashion start-up process. 1. Developing talent as entrepreneurs with a sense of fashion and enthusiasm 2. Passing on trial and error as a chance to communicate with customers 3. Challenge the fashion retail market with global online start-up opportunities 4. Building a system that responds to market environment changes 5. Leading and distinguishing with expertise from entrepreneurs 6. Evolve into the coexistence of members.

A Study on Contents Design for Theme Park related Experience - Focusing on Developing VR-Scenario of Photo-Point (테마파크 연계 체험 컨텐츠 디자인 연구 - 포토포인트 개발 VR 시나리오를 중심으로)

  • 테마파크는 현대 사회와 복잡함 속에서의 현실 탈피와 참여로써 자기 성취를 구현하는 현대적 개념의 종합위락시설로 모든 계층의 사람들이 즐길 수 있는 창조적 유희공원의 일반적 특징을 갖고 있다. 테마파크를 공간, 주제, 유형에 의해 분류해 볼 때 산업적 성공 가능성이 많은 것으로는 공간-실내, 주제-캐릭터, 유형-쇼핑으로 현재 일본의 산리오 퓨로랜드나 국내 일산의 헤이리 딸기파크가 그 사례이다. 본 연구에서는 실내캐릭터쇼핑파크의 사용자 분석을 통하여 온 오프라인 체험 컨텐츠의 가능성을 발견하고, 이를 VR 시뮬레이션 시나리오로 제안하였다. 방법으로는 헤이리 딸기파크에서 5 그룹, 9 개 구역을 필드리서치 하여 체험 시나리오 개발을 위한 의미 있는 단서를 발견하였으며, 이를 토대로 시나리오 기법을 활용하여 7 구역 14 개 시안을 도출하였다. 최종 구체적 사례로 포토포인트 시나리오를 설정하여 오프라인 연계 VR 시나리오를 이용한 구축 사례를 통해 제시하였다. 컨텐츠 개발의 제안을 중심으로 연구 범위를 디자인 사례의 제안으로 제한하였으며, 이는 향후 온 오프라인 연계 테마파크의 구체적 컨텐츠 개발의 활용을 목적으로 디자인되었고, 공간의 실제적 검증을 위한 Web-VR 시뮬레이션 기법의 검토에 도움을 줄 것으로 판단된다.

(1) According to chignon's position and balance, up style compared and analyzed it. (2) Theme up style(wedding, evening, causal, han-bok, fusion show) compared and analyzed categorize. End of hair classified variation according to position and balance external image affected to it which bale on design component as a result, classified up-style reconstruct.

Consumption Experiences and the Meaning of "Luxury" of Women (여성 소비자의 소비경험을 통해 본 "사치"의 의미분석)

  • By conducting an ethnographic interviewing for women who had been traditionally recognized as the subject in consumption and analyzing the perception that they had on luxuries and necessities, this study tried a naturalistic interpretation on a meaning of "(small) luxury" recently well known to everybody. The target of interview included 20 women in their 20s to 50s living in Seoul and Kyunggi region. The sampling was made in consideration of an age, marriage, occupation, and household income level, etc. The data analysis had the process of drawing a final theme after having a domain analysis and a taxonomy analysis. In so doing, (1) women's experience of consuming life was described; (2) The analysis was made on what they would pursue in a consuming life, with a focus on a symbolic nature of a consumption; (3) Lastly, through a naturalistic interpretation, a theme regarding a meaning that a "luxury" had for them was drawn. As a result of an analysis, 12 domains and 5 taxonomies were derived. On the basis of it, 3 themes were deduced with respect to a meaning that a "luxury" had under the women's experience of consumption.

Expression Types of Modern Fashion Show Space from the Perspective of Pepper's Contextualism

  • This study analyzed contextual expression types in modern fashion show space derived from the architecture based on Pepper's Contextualism. Pepper's Contextualism theory was applied to fashion showcases of the world's four largest collections from 2010 to 2020 by analyzing contextual expression in architecture, resulting in six contextual expression types. The first type was natural environmental contextual expression in which a modern fashion was fused with the natural environment using the natural environment's context. The second type was a temporal contextual expression expressed by blending the theme of a fashion show and an artificial environment that could express past, present, and future issues. The third type was a spatial contextual expression that extended in a flat or three-dimensional direction. This expression could connect with customers in the field. The fourth type was an associative contextual expression that could formally present the theme of a fashion show or a designer's inspiration by borrowing a specific place. The fifth type was an ideological contextual expression that could express a designer's concept or value through a fashion show's design. The sixth type was a contextual communication expression that could allow viewers to immerse themselves in the space of a fashion show venue mentally through a morphological or virtual technique and experience a fashion show.

Effects of an Engineering-Focused STEAM Program Based on the Project Approach for Young Children on Their Scientific Inquiry Ability, Mathematical Problem-Solving Ability, and Creativity (유아 대상 프로젝트 접근법 기반 공학적 STEAM 프로그램이 유아의 과학적 탐구능력, 수학적 문제해결력, 창의성에 미치는 효과)

  • Objective: This research aims to examine the effect of a young children's engineering-focused STEAM program based on the project approach - a program that constructs components aligned with children's interests in their play through an engineering design process - on their scientific inquiry ability, mathematical problem-solving ability, and creativity. Methods: In this research, 42 five-year-old children from a public kindergarten in S district, I city, were randomly divided into experimental and comparative groups, each with 21 children. The engineering-focused STEAM program was conducted from April 18 to June 10, 2022, with the experimental group exploring the 'car' theme and the comparison group focusing on a different theme. The study employed an independent sample t-test and analysis of covariance(ANCOVA), using the pretest as a covariate to control variables. Results: The children-selected 'cars' themed engineering-focused STEAM program was effective in enhancing their scientific inquiry ability, mathematical problem-solving ability and creativity. Conclusion/Implications: The engineering-focused STEAM program, which emerges from young children's interesting daily play, had positive effects on enhancing their scientific inquiry ability, mathematical problem-solving ability, and creativity. This research can serve as fundamental data for developing education programs focused on engineering within the STEAM framework, guided by children's emergent play.

  • This paper has proposed a 4- bit 20MHz Flash A/D converter design available analog signal processing and realized its intergrated circuit. The parallel comparison method A/D converter quantized analog signals swiftly using various converters. Also this theme has designed economic power dissipation circuit using a preamplifier of low volt & power CMOS comparator. Also the system was fabricated by Hynix 0.35um CMOS process.

  • This study analyzed the fashion design features of Iris van Herpen and createdsixdigital fashion designsusing the SCAMPER technique with 3D clothing design software, incorporating a futuristic theme. The research methodology involvedcase analysis and a literature survey. First, the study summarizedthe design style and characteristics of Iris van Herpen. Second, a design concept wasestablished, and a design mood board wascreated. Third, the resulting design features were combined with the SCAMPER technique to incorporate Iris van Herpen's design elements intonew digital fashion designs. Fourth, after discussion with the professor and expert group, six designs were selected for production. They includededgy suit coats, overcoats, asymmetrical hoodies and asymmetrical skirts, irregularly shaped tops, dresses, leggings, jackets,and fishtail skirts. This study provides a reference for the future development of digital fashion designs and showcases the integration of science and technology in fashion design.
