  • For the development and management of u-City(ubiquitous city), Ubiquitous City Construction Law was enacted(March 3, 2008) to form the legal basis of u-City plan, construction and managements afterwards. The ultimate goal of the u-City construction is the advancement of national territory utilization and management using Korea's high level of IT and spatial information infrastructure. Based on the definition of the u-City Construction Law, the u-City refers to a city where u-City services are provided through the u-City infrastructure applying u-City technology. But, based on the current level of relationship model among u-City service, technology and infrastructure, it is not enough to guide the local municipalities to plan and provide the successful u-City services in its vicinity. So as one of the core issues for the legal arrangements of successful u-City services, the purpose of the study is to suggest the basic directions and execution strategies for the relationship establishment among u-City service, technology and infrastructure.

  • City is currently developing into intelligent city which adopts the ICT technology to resolve the problems and increase the competitiveness. This intelligent city is promoted under the name of U-City or Smart City, yet it is also criticized in the trend for what the differences between U-City and Smart City are. In this study, we draws the differences between U-City and Smart City from our distinctive research method, text mining which analyzes the trend of research papers, and contribute to direction of U-City study in the future. Through this analysis, the study results in that U-City focuses practical implementation in domestic cities while Smart City focuses technological development and provision of single service. However, this paper has a limitation as the subjective opinion was reflected to configure the sets of keywords, and only keywords and s were analyzed. Therefore, further studies are needed to confirm the differences between U-City and Smart City with related research papers and reports.

The entry into the era of competition between consumption factors is not only attracting investment for strengthening city competitiveness, but also actively inducing urban image reconstruction and new image making. Therefore, various studies related to urban marketing are being carried out. The object of this study is to investigate the effect of city brand image on city brand recognition and city loyalty based on the questionnaire of external citizens about Changwon city. Research design, data, and methodology - The data were collected from 200 Seoul and Busan citizens. Reliability and exploratory factor analysis were conducted through the SPSS program, and confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling were conducted by using the AMOS program. Results - As a result of the hypothesis test, six hypotheses were adopted among the nine hypotheses. In summary, pleasant image, dynamic image, and good administrative image have a significant positive impact on city brand recognition. The magnanimous image did not have a significant effect on city brand recognition. In the impact of city brand image on city loyalty, magnanimous image and good administrative image had significant positive impact on city loyalty. Pleasant images and dynamic images did not significantly affect city loyalty. In addition, city brand recognition positively influenced city loyalty.
