복지관 이용 노인의 건강증진생활양식과 건강지각 (Health-Promoting Lifestyle Patterns and Health Perception in Elders Using Welfare Service Centers)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify health promoting lifestyle patterns (HPLP) and health perception (HP), and related factors, in elderly people using welfare service centers. Methods: Three hundred elders were interviewed using a structured questionnaire through convenience sampling at two welfare centers. Data were analyzed using the SPSS WIN 12.0 program. Results: Most of the elders had some kind of diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes, or osteoarthritis. The mean HPLP score was 2.53, and significant differences were found according to the elders' general characteristics. The sub-domain nutrition had the highest mean score, and stress management and exercise, the lowest. The mean HP score was 3.38, and significant differences were found according to education level and number of underlying diseases. HPLP showed a correlation with HP. Conclusion: The results indicate that elders have poor practices in stress management and exercise reflecting need for community based stress management programs for welfare service centers elderly clients.

중·고령자의 자산과 삶의 만족과의 관계에서 우울의 매개효과 (The Relationship on Life Satisfaction of Middle-old aged' Assets : Focusing on Mediating Effect of Depression)

  • 본 연구는 한국의 중고령자(45세 이상)를 대상으로 자산과 삶의 만족 간에 관계에서 우울감의 매개효과를 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 국민노후보장패널(KReIS) 5차 본조사(2013년) 데이터를 활용하였다. 자료분석을 위해 SPSS 21.0과 AMOS 25.0을 사용하였다. 분석방법은 기술통계분석, 상관관계 분석, 회귀분석, 경로분석 등을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 중고령자의 자산은 우울감에 부(-)적인 영향을 미쳤고, 우울감은 삶의 만족에 부(-)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 중고령자의 자산은 삶의 만족에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 셋째, 중고령자의 자산은 우울감의 매개를 거쳐 삶의 만족에 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 이상의 분석결과를 바탕으로 중년세대의 자산형성 지원 프로그램 도입과 노인세대의 기초연금의 보편적 실시와 점차적인 급여인상 등의 지원방안을 제시하였다.

사회복지분야의 간호활동실태 및 간호수요에 관한 연구 (A Study of Activities and Demand on Welfare Nursing in Korea)

  • Social security is concerned with ensuring all citizens maintain basic needs, community health nursing maintains and promotes health for all community members. Lately, This new area of community health nursing, concern social welfare has increased. The objectives of this study are, first, to analysis the activities of nurses at community social welfare institutes, second, to estimate nursing demand for social welfare areas. The study methods used were as literature review, an analysis of statistical data and case study etc. The analytical framework also included a demand analysis of nursing manpower in community social welfare areas. The major results are as follows; 1. Employees which work at social welfare institutes number 55,464, nursing manpower (including nurse aids) number 1,458 and this is 3% of the total employees. Within nursing manpower, nurses number 780, nurse aids number 670. 2. The rates of nurses among total employees were high in institutes for mental disorders and institutes for the age. 3. The salary level of nurses was lower than average and the rates of retirement showed a roughly middle level in welfare institutes. 4. The satisfaction level of nursing services was high, and it is the trend that nurses substitute for nurse aids which retire at social welfare institutes. 5. Nurse demand that follows legal criteria is 2,221, but only 35% are working. It is therefore insufficient from the minimum of 733 to a maximum 1433. 6. The sufficiency rates by institution were high at institutes for vagrants, aged and the handicapped. In conclusion, the conditions are of nurses which are working in with the social welfare institutes are poor. Also the number of nurses compared rates of demand were in surplus. But, the basic direction of welfare policy is universal-preventive and provision of the family and of community centered service, and nursing service demand in the social welfare institute will increase continuously, we predict. Therefore, we will need a positive plan such as the development of an inservice education program and the construction of an information collection system etc.

한국의 60세 이상 노인의 인지장애와 위험요인 (Cognitive Impairment and Risk Factors among Elderly Persons Aged 60 or More in Korea)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify cognitive impairment and risk factors among elderly persons aged 60 or more in Korea using raw data from the 2008 Elderly Survey: Basic Analysis Report of Actual Living Condition of the Elderly and Welfare Need Survey in Korea. Methods: This study was conducted using raw data obtained from 13,335 subjects representing elderly persons aged 60 or more in Korea. Data were analyzed using SPSS 19.0 software. Results: The rate of cognitive impairment was found to be 22.0%. Logistic regression analysis became more prevalent with increased aged. In addition elderly subjects with the following factors showed increased cognitive impairment: mails; underweight; slept well for 3 to 4 days per week at most; lack of high intensity physical activity; Eub/Myoun area; did not live alone; did not graduate from high school; un-employed; lack of active social participation, and not computer/Internet savvy. Conclusion: This study identified cognitive impairment and risk factors among elderly persons aged 60 or more in Korea using samples representing elderly persons aged 60 or more throughout the country.

1980년 이후의 노년기가족 연구: 성과와 과제 (Research on Families in Later Life since 1980: products and Prospects)

  • This paper is a review and assessment of 1122 articles on families in later life from 5 journals published during 1980 and 1995. theoretical and methodological issues family relationships in later life social support network caregiving attitudes and stress life satisfaction and stress of the aged and welfare system for the aged are the major areas examined. The review indicates that this area of research in quantity has increased rapidly since 195. Relationships between aged parents and their adult children focusing on caregiving attitudes behavior and stresses for supporting their parents among the children and adjustment/life satisfaction of the aged are dominantly investigated. However most of the research are non-theoretical and descriptive in nature and the influences of socio-economic variables such as sex health economic status and educational level on dependent variables are widely investigated. Future research questions and issues under the sub-ares of families in lat r life is provided. Further directions and suggestions for future research works on families in later life in general are provided with particular emphasis on conceptual and methodological issues.

노인요양기관종사자의 심리적 자본이 이직의도 및 직무만족에 미치는 영향 (An Effect of Aged Care Facility Worker's Psychological Capital on Turnover Intension and Job Satisfaction)

  • Objectives: This study aims to examine the effect of psychological capital on turnover intension and job satisfaction by aged care facility workers. Methods : Samples were obtained from 147 aged care facility workers in one county of Kyungsangbukdo. The study conducted a correlation and a regression analysis to learn how psychological capital (self-efficacy, hope, optimism, resilience) would affect turnover intension and job satisfaction. Results : First, age and marital status turned out to have a positive (+) influence on job satisfaction which would be negative (-) affected by tenure of office. Second, hope, sub-variable of Psychological Capital, affected a negative (-) influence on turnover intension. Third, resilience, sub-variable of Psychological Capital, affected a positive(+) influence on job satisfaction. Conclusions: It is suggested to develop the psychological capital of aged care facility workers, effective welfare system and educational program are required for better job satisfaction.

과거 노후준비가 노년기의 활동성에 미치는 영향 : 심리사회적 자원의 매개효과 (The Effects of Preparation for Old Age of the past on Activity of the elderly: The mediating effect of Psycho-Social resources)

  • 본 연구는 과거의 노후 준비가 노년기에 이르러 활동적인 노년 생활을 보내는 것에 영향을 주는지, 그리고 노후준비를 통해 획득된 자기효능감 및 사회적 지지라는 심리사회적 자원이 이러한 두 요인간의 관계에서 매개효과를 가지는지 파악하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 "2010 서울시 복지패널조사"자료 중 2010년도 가구원용 데이터를 분석 자료로 사용하였다. 연구 모형의 검증을 위해 빈도분석, 기술분석을 통해 대상자의 일반적 특성 및 주요 변수의 특성을 살펴보았고, AMOS 프로그램을 이용하여 모형의 적합도 분석 및 구조방정식으로 모형을 분석하였다. Sobel test를 통해 과거의 노후준비가 활동적 노화에 미치는 영향에 있어 심리사회적 자원인 자기효능감과 사회적 지지의 매개효과를 살펴보았다. 분석결과, 노후준비의 구성 요소인 신체적인 노후준비, 경제적 노후준비, 사회적 노후준비, 그리고 여가적인 노후준비는 활동적 노년생활에 정(+)적인 영향을 주는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 또한 과거의 노후준비와 노년기의 활동성의 관계에서 심리사회적 자원의 매개효과를 분석한 결과에서도 통계적으로 유의미한 영향력을 나타내어, 부분 매개 경로를 확인할 수 있었다. 연구결과를 통해, 노년기 진입에 앞서 다양한 영역에 대한 노후 준비는 심리사회적 자원을 획득하고 이는 활동적인 노후생활에 영향을 미치므로 복지정책을 개발함에 있어서도 향후 노후를 준비할 수 있도록 중장년층에게 노후준비 교육등을 실시하여 심리사회적 자원을 형성할 수 있도록 내용을 구성할 필요가 있다는 제언을 하고자 한다.

캐나다의 고령자 주거복지정책의 현황과 특징에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Current Situation and Distinct Features of the Housing Welfare Policy for the Elderly in Canada)

  • Canada is a democratic country, yet it keeps a social democratic system in which the government is in charge of welfare of its people. And this is one of the most significant features about the country. Her public and private pension system has been effective since the 1920s, securing its people's fundamental income. In particular, the public medical system applies to its every citizen and performs its role. This system is called the National Medical System as well as "MEDICARE" named after its related law. However, there has been a significant change in the national medical and welfare policy due to the budget deficit. In other words, the policy was mainly implemented to welfare facilities in the past, but the policy changed to a welfare policy for the elderly with a concentration on the support for self-reliance of senior citizens since the reform. The purpose of this study is to provide data and implications for Korea through the analysis of the current situation and distinct features of the housing welfare system in Canada. This study has researched the literature on the subject with an analytic focus on three aspects that are the fundamental frame of the system, essential content (support for self-reliance and facility composition), and distinct features of the housing for the elderly. In other words, they are, first, how the fundamental frame of the housing welfare system for the elderly is composed; second, how the service for self-reliance welfare and facility service are composed; and third, what their scale and distinct spatial features of general houses for the elderly with self-reliance are. A comparative study was conducted in detail on courses and characteristics of the housing welfare system for senior citizens in Canada and the USA of North America. In particular, it reveals the scale and distinct spatial features of public houses for the elderly with self-reliance in British Columbia (BC) which is one of the main provinces of Canada.

요양보호사의 직무환경에 따른 직무스트레스와 소진이 직무만족에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Job Stress and Burnout by Job Environment of Care-givers on Job Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구는 노인장기요양기관 종사자인 요양보호사들의 직무환경과 관련된 속성 및 스트레스와 소진을 파악하고 이들 요인이 직무만족에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 효과를 분석하여 요양보호사의 조직업무를 향상시켜 노인의 삶의 질과 노인복지 발전에 도움이 되는데 목적을 갖고 연구하였다. 연구대상은 전북 군산시에 소재한 노인장기요양기관(요양시설, 재가노인복지시설)에 근무하는 요양보호사 129명을 대상으로 하였다. 분석결과 요양보호사의 직무환경의 하위요인으로 인적환경과 보상체계, 업무전문성 등이 직무소진, 직무스트레스, 직무만족에 유의적인 영향을 미치는 요인임을 실증시켜 주었다. 이는 그만큼 인적환경을 위한 업무전문성 및 능력과 혁신적 사고를 가진 업적에 비례한 보상체계가 잘 되어 있을수록 긍정적인 관계 형성과 동시 직무소진과 스트레스의 감소 및 직무만족이 향상됨을 의미한다. 이는 최근 장기요양을 위한 노인성 환자의 급증과 장기요양기관에서의 요양보호사의 역할과 직무가 중요시되는 현실에 비추어 볼 때 전문직으로서의 다양한 복지 수혜적 봉사자로서의 요양보호사들의 직무환경 개선을 위한 직무전문화 보장과 이들 직무능력에 따른 적절한 보상시스템의 체계화가 필요시 됨을 시사한 것으로 볼 수 있다. 따라서 직업에 대한 자긍심이 높은 전문 인력의 배출과 참여로 요양보호사의 잦은 직무소진과 스트레스를 낮출 수 있는 경감요인을 찾아 제거함으로써 보다 많은 인력의 참여와 조직헌신을 통한 직무만족 극대화를 통해 조직몰입을 높일 수 있을 것이다.

농업인 복지정책 요구도 분석 (A Study on Farmer's Requisition on Welfare Policy)

  • The purpose of the present study is to seek measures to increase the quality of farmers lives by considering the results of a survey on the welfare demand for them when setting up policy. The results are as follows: First, though many concerns and policies to control the rural exodus have been exerted in terms of maintaining agricultural communities, which is one of critical components for the development of Korean agriculture and farming villages, the rural exodus became more and more serious. It is urgently required, therefore, for the Korean administration to correspond actively to the reasons why farmers depart their villages, such as bad prospects, low incomes or problems with their children's education. Second, as the number of females who take part in farming has increased, it is necessary to reform the rural educational environment. In addition, as the agricultural community develops, and other industries flow in, the greater the worries about crime, and consequently, it is necessary to equip a local safety system, share information on job opportunities, and provide educational opportunities. Third, since rural districts nay have financial difficulties because of old-aged and small-sized farmhouse, it is necessary to mainly support the welfare of the aged and lower-income farmers, considering the characteristics of each group and area. Fourth, over half of the farmers responded that they cannot bear to pay the national pension and health insurance premiums, and therefore it should be considered to reduce the pension and premium, or to readjust the insurance value appropriate to the level of the farmer's income. Fifth, despite a number of agricultural policies now in place, farmers desire a policy which can promise a prosperous vision for Korean agriculture and the facilities needed for education and health. It is necessary for the administration to set up policies that are characterized by locality with the view that farmers are not mere recipients, but participants in the policies.
