In the video retrieval system, visual clues of still images and motion information of video are employed as feature vectors. We generate the temporal textures to express the motion information whose properties are simple expression, easy to compute. We make those temporal textures of wavelet coefficients to express motion information, M components. Then, temporal texture feature vectors are extracted using spatial texture feature vectors, i.e. spatial gray-level dependence. Also, motion amount and motion centroid are computed from temporal textures. Motion trajectories provide the most important information for expressing the motion property. In our modeling system, we can extract the main motion trajectory from the temporal textures.
In order to study the effect of lubrication during hot rolling, ferritic stainless steel (FSS) sheet were hot-rolled with and without application of lubrication. The effect of two hot rolling processes on the evolution of texture and microstructure after hot rolling, cold rolling and subsequent recrystallization annealing was studied by means of macro-texture analysis and microstructure observations. After hot rolling, the specimen rolled with lubrication showed rolling textures at the sheet surface, while the specimen rolled without lubrication displayed shear textures in the outer layers of the sheet. Hot rolling with lubrication was beneficial to the formation of strong recrystallization textures at sheet surface. However, hot rolling with lubrication led to the formation of orientation colonies in outer thickness layers of the recrystallized sheet.
In order to vary the primary recrystallization textures, AA 1050 sheets were cold rolled in two different manners. Differences in cold rolling schedule gave rise to the formation of different cold rolling textures also leading to the formation of different primary recrystallization textures. Upon annealing for grain growth, changes in microstructure and texture hardly occurred in the sample depicting Cube recrystallization texture, while grain growth was accompanied with the development {001}<100> Cube texture in the sample displaying a recrystallization texture comprising of weak rolling texture components. The selective growth of Cube oriented grains is attributed to the high mobility of their grain boundaries.
Biomimetc is a new domain of learning that proposes a solution getting clues from nature. There seems to be a sign of this phenomenon in fields of Renewable Energy. Foe example, Wind power was imitate the whale's fin that was improve efficiency of generating energy. This study focused on the photovoltaic generation as the instance of applying biomimetic. Efficiency is the most important factor in field of Photovoltaic generation. When given solar cell taking the sun light, most important fields of the study are absorb more light and increase the quantity of generation. For improving efficiency, the solar cell were builded up textures of taking a pyramid form, such a surface structure taking a role for remaining the light. This effects do the role as increasing absorbing efficiency. Such phenomenon calls Light Trapping, locking up the light on the surface of solar cell for a long time. Light is a vital factor to plants in the nature. Plants grow up through the photosynthesis that absorbing light for growth and propagation. So, plants make a effort how can absorb more the light in poor surroundings. This study set up a goal that imitates the minute surface structure of plants and applies to the existing solar cells's surface structure, so it can improve the efficiency of absorbing light. We used Light Tools software analyzing geometrical optics to analyze efficiency about new designed textures on the computer. We made a comparison between existing textures and new designed textures. Consequently, new designed textures were advanced efficiency, absorbing rates of light increasing about 7 percent. In comparison with existing and new textures, advancing about 20 percent in the efficient aspect.

We find the properties of the defects and textures in an ordered medium. Especially, the space X, e.g., the residually solvable space or space satisfying the conditions ($T^{**}$) with respect to the defect and texture.
To fabricate the aluminum alloys with good drawability, the textures evolution of the AA5182 sheets due to the change of lid parameter after rolling and subsequent annealing was studied. The measurement of the deformation textures was carried out for the sheets with high reduction ratio and the change of the recrystallization texture was investigated after heat-treatments of the rolled sheets in various I/d parameters. Rolling without lubrication and subsequent annealing led to the formation of favorable rot-$C_{ND}$ {001}<110> and ${\gamma}$-fiber ND//<111> textures in AA5182 sheets. From the results, the ${\gamma}$-fiber ND//<111> component well evolved during rolling at high lid parameter of 6.77. The initial shear deformation texture, especially, ${\gamma}$-fiber ND//<111> was not rotated during heat treatment in holding time of 180~7,200 seconds on AA5182 with I/d parameter of 6.77. Therefore, the AA5182 sheets were fabricated by controlling I/d parameter having well evolved ${\gamma}$-fiber ND//<111> which was advantageous in good drawability of the sheets.
This study aims to examine the effect of structural properties, subjective textures, sensibilities, and objective handle on the preference for weft knit fabrics, and then to provide useful information in planning and designing knit fabrics through predicting the preference. We made 20 plain knit fabrics, as specimens, with a combination of 5 kinds of wool/rayon fiber contents and 4 kinds of stitch loop length. For the subjective evaluation of textures, sensibilities, and preference, we used the questionnaire that had been developed in the previous study. The data analysis was conducted with Pearson's correlation analysis, ANOVA, Duncann multiple range test and regression analysis. The results are as follows: In relationship of structural properties and preference, we could not recognize any difference in whole ranges of wool/ rayon fiber contents and in 7.5mm and less stitch loop length. On the other hand, we could find the decrease of preference in over 7.5mm stitch loop length. As to subjective textures and sensibilities, a multiple regression analysis of preference indicated a higher determination coefficient by sensibilities than by textures. But there were little correlation between a objective handle and preference of weft knit fabrics.
