  • The development of the information retrieval field is evolving to the research field searching accurately for the information from thing finding rapidly a large amount of information. Personalization and the semantic web technology is a key technology. The automatic indexing technology about the web document and throughput go beyond the research stage and show up as the practical service. However, there is a lack of research on the document information retrieval field about the attached document type of except the web document. In this paper, we illustrate about the method in which it analyzed the text content of the unstructured documents prepared in the text, word, hwp form and it how to construction OWL ontology. To build TBox of the document ontology and the resources which can be obtained from the document is selected, and we implement with the system in order to utilize as the instant of the constructed document ontology. It is effectually usable in the information retrieval and document management system using the semantic technology of the correspondence document as the ontology automatic construction of this kind of the unstructured documents.

Copyright Protection for Digital Image by Watermarking Technique

  • Due to the rapid growth and expansion of the Internet, the digital multimedia such as image, audio and video are available for everyone. Anyone can make unauthorized copying for any digital product. Accordingly, the owner of these products cannot protect his ownership. Unfortunately, this situation will restrict any improvement which can be done on the digital media production in the future. Some procedures have been proposed to protect these products such as cryptography and watermarking techniques. Watermarking means embedding a message such as text, the image is called watermark, yet, in a host such as a text, an image, an audio, or a video, it is called a cover. Watermarking can provide and ensure security, data authentication and copyright protection for the digital media. In this paper, a new watermarking method of still image is proposed for the purpose of copyright protection. The procedure of embedding watermark is done in a transform domain. The discrete cosine transform (DCT) is exploited in the proposed method, where the watermark is embedded in the selected coefficients according to several criteria. With this procedure, the deterioration on the image is minimized to achieve high invisibility. Unlike the traditional techniques, in this paper, a new method is suggested for selecting the best blocks of DCT coefficients. After selecting the best DCT coefficients blocks, the best coefficients in the selected blocks are selected as a host in which the watermark bit is embedded. The coefficients selection is done depending on a weighting function method, where this function exploits the values and locations of the selected coefficients for choosing them. The experimental results proved that the proposed method has produced good imperceptibility and robustness for different types of attacks.

The Analysis on the KAIE Articles using Social Network Analysis (사회연결망 분석을 활용한 정보교육학회 논문 분석)

  • Recently, a number of researches focus on social network analysis and it is applied to various fields not only in social science area but also in natural science area. Therefore, the social network analysis and the text analysis were conducted in order to analyze the current trend of the theses in information education field. The result indicated that the most frequently mentioned words were consistent with the development of information technology and the change in information education curriculum. That is, the mentioned words were computer aided instruction (CAI) and courseware for period 1, ICT for period 2, smart and scratch for period 3, and in period 4, computational thinking ability and coding appeared for the first time. Moreover, as the result of social network analysis, it concluded the research topics became more complicated and detailed as the words diversified throughout the period in which the simplified network in period 1 changed its configuration into a structure with more diversified words of higher centrality.

How do advertisements spread on social networks? (광고 캠페인의 소셜 네트워크 확산 구조에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate how the advertising campaign is spreading in social networks, and how the advertising model plays an important role in advertisement diffusion. In order to grasp the diffusion patterns of advertising, a text mining and social network analysis were conducted using the beer brand 'Kloud' as a collection keyword. After analyzing the social data for two months since the on-air of 'Good Body' advertisement, which was the first ad that "Sulhyun" appeared in. After the launch of the ad, Kloud has been mainly associated with keywords such as 'yavis & trendy style', 'beer brand', 'beer matching food', 'luxury beer drinking place', 'leisure trend', and 'SNS activity', etc. In addition, "Sul Hyun" also showed that an advertising model contributes to the spread of advertisement on social media in terms of image transition as well as brand's name and unique selling point.

The Correlation between Handwriting Skills and Praxis in the Low Grades Students at an Elementary School (초등학교 저학년 아동의 글씨쓰기와 실행능력과의 상관관계)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to examine the correlation between handwriting skills and praxis. Method : Participants consisted of 50 normal children who were the second-grade students at an A elementary school in Kim-hae. They didn't have a visual dysfunction, an auditory dysfunction, and a disease or an injury in arms and hands. They could follow examiners' directions properly. They were administered the Postural Praxis and the Praxis on Verbal Command of the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests(SIPT)(Ayres, 2000) and the handwriting skill test which was made with reference to foreign literatures. It was conducted from October 19, 2004 to December 17, 2004. The data were analyzed with non-paired t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient. Results : 1. Total handwriting score and praxis according to gender of children showed the statistically significant differences(p<0.05). 2. Total handwriting score correlated with praxis(p<0.05) and handwriting speed did not correlate with praxis. 3. Postural Praxis and Praxis on Verbal Command according to handwriting groups showed the statistically significant differences(p<0.05). 4. Among the standards of the handwriting skill test, accuracy of letter form, identity of letter size, spacing between letters and words, placing text on lines, error existence, and letter out of regular square correlated with the Postural Praxis(p<0.05), and accuracy of letter form, identity of letter size, and placing text on lines correlated with the Praxis on Verbal Command(p<0.05). Conclusions : The correlation between handwriting skills and praxis will help occupational therapists to provide fundamental and various treatment programs for children who are referred for the poor handwriting. But more studies in handwriting skills and praxis are necessary to decide which component of handwriting skills is related to praxis.

The Effects of Fashion Mobile Word-of Mouth -Focus on Facebook- (패션제품에 대한 모바일 구전효과 -페이스북을 중심으로-)

  • This study investigates the effects of information type, direction of information, method of suggestion, tie strength, and interactions among these variables on the acceptance and diffusion of fashion product information in the mobile Facebook environment. Two subsequent studies were conducted to test the relationships among mobile SNS WOM factors. Two independent on-line surveys were implemented. Six hundred forty consumers aged between 20 and 39 were recruited for Study 1, and four hundred and eighty for Study 2. We manipulated the WOM delivery situation by information type (factual/evaluative), information directionality (positive/negative), tie-strength (strong/weak), and information presentation method (text/image/rink). Eight scenarios were developed and randomly assigned to the research participants. Frequency analysis, reliability, factor analysis, regression analysis, and ANOVA were implemented using SPSS 18.0. The Analysis of experiment data produced interesting results. Most WOM factors (including the information type, information presentation method, and tie strength) influence WOM acceptance; however, only the tie strength effected WOM activity. It was also proven that people are prone to accept information that is more realistic, objective, and negative, and they tend to accept information with visual factors, such as images and video clips rather than a simple text message. In this study, we offer a practical perspective to fashion industry and marketers who have an interest in SNS marketing. We have defined the distinct characteristics of mobile WOM that have been formed by a combination of former on/off-line WOM characteristics. To examine the moderating roles of two types of consumer innovativeness, fashion innovativeness and technology innovativeness were also measured and found to have significant moderating effects between mobile SNS WOM factors and their consequences. The paper concludes with a discussion on managerial implications and limitations.

Evaluation of In-vehicle Warning Information Modalities by Kansei Engineering (감성공학을 이용한 차내 경고정보 제공방식 평가)

  • Provision of in-vehicle warning information is of keen interest since it can be effectively used to prevent traffic accident on the road. This study evaluates the effectiveness of information provision modalities based on kansei engineering. Various warning information scenarios using different modalities are devised for the evaluation. Statistical data analysis techniques including factor analysis, correlation analysis, and the general linear model are used to assess the user's affect for information modalities. The evaluation result shows that the provision of visual information consisted of 'text and pictogram' leads to higher understandability. The combination of beep sound and voice message' was identified as a more effective modality for auditory warning. In addition, the red color for the blinking warning signal was preferred by users.

Cluster-Based Selection of Diverse Query Examples for Active Learning (능동적 학습을 위한 군집화 기반의 다양한 복수 문의 예제 선정 방법)

  • In order to derive a better classifier with a limited number of training examples, active teaming alternately repeats the querying stage fur category labeling and the subsequent learning stage fur rebuilding the calssifier with the newly expanded training set. To relieve the user from the burden of labeling, especially in an on-line environment, it is important to minimize the number of querying steps as well as the total number of query examples. We can derive a good classifier in a small number of querying steps by using only a small number of examples if we can select multiple of diverse, representative, and ambiguous examples to present to the user at each querying step. In this paper, we propose a cluster-based batch query selection method which can select diverse, representative, and highly ambiguous examples for efficient active learning. Experiments with various text data sets have shown that our method can derive a better classifier than other methods which only take into account the ambiguity as the criterion to select multiple query examples.

On a Speech Coding Algorithm for Low Cost Implementation of Voice Telegram System (보이스 전보 시스템 구현을 위한 저가형 음성파형 부호화 알고리즘)

  • A telegram has been used to transmit the emergency news or celebration message. So, it has been very important media in our life. Although the telegram processing is more and more convenient, on the other hand, the telegram service contains only text message. The voice telegram is that delivering user's voice with text message. So, the voice telegram can be delivered sender's emotions and feelings. However, since voice information contains lots of data, large memory size and high cost processor are needed to deliver itself. In this paper, we proposed a new speech waveform coding method that has low complexity and low cost implementation for the voice telegram system. First, we fixed one basic speech waveform per pitch period and measured the waveform similarity between basic and neighbor speech waveform. Second, if the similarity satisfied threshold values, we compress the neighbor speech waveform with pitch and magnitude value per pitch period and if not, we save speech waveform. When the compression is about 45%, we obtained about 4 point in MOS.

  • Most of the stock price prediction research using text mining uses news and SNS data. However, there is a weakness that it is difficult to get honest and vivid information about companies from them. This paper deals with the problem of the prediction for the direction of stock price by doing text mining the online company reviews of internal staff indicating employee satisfaction. The comparative analysis of the prediction models for the direction of stock price showed the prediction model, which adds internal employee reviews, has better performance than those that did not. This paper presents the convergence study using natural language processing in financial engineering. In the field of stock price prediction, This paper pursued a new methodology that used employee satisfaction. In practice, it is expected to provide useful information in the field of forecasting stock price direction.
